xxxxGood for you, I honestly don't mind if you post-stalked me here or enjoy haunting the Test Forum. If Journals were slightly less aggravating I'd let you haunt there, but I hate updating/trying to organize those things. Keep in mind that MOST of these profiles contain basic information for characters who I frequently plop into different threads.

YES. THERE ARE DUPLICATES.

If a character you've seen me using isn't here, I either haven't put them up yet or they're tapered specifically to that thread. Happy lurking!

Name: User Image
xxxxYevon ____
Gender:
xxxxMale
Age:
xxxx21-25
Race:
xxxxA Toy Shifter; a shape-shifting race which uses an inanimate object as a base form.
Profession:
xxxxTypically acts as a toy-maker or performer.
Abilities (Physical):
xxxxYevon's ability to morph and shift is limited by only two things: Size and Imagination. Able to adopt any form at whatever scale so long as it isn't too large, his co-ordination and dexterity are flawless, though he will always in some way remain red. The mimicry of Voices and Manners however require practice, and do not come along by default.

As a puppet, Yevon is decidedly hard to kill. He must be either destroyed completely or disassembled with magic.

Powers (Mystic):
xxxxEven if the form he takes (such as a dragon) possesses magic of its own, Yevon's grasp of it will be plithy at best. His only real magical abilities are parlor tricks to amuse crowds and minor enchantments he can bestow on items.
Weaknesses:
xxxxWhile he strongly dislikes being near too much fire, Yevon's true weakness is cats. Felines, specifically domestic or Anthropomorphic ones, can see directly through any illusion he tries to cast and their touch, by nature, cause his mists to evaporate. Mirrors make him show up as a misty red cloud hovering around the room but otherwise do not harm him.
Appearance:
xxxxAnything he wants to be, however Yevon's form will always in some way, shape, or form include the color red.

As a 'human', the red color is transfered over to Yevon's hair, his skin is tanned and his build is long and lanky. Casually dressed in a red muscle shirt, black pants, an over-layer office shirt, and either sneakers or sandals on his feet, if the Shifter needs to fight he'll usually morph into something more suited to the job.

Possessions:
xxxxYevon has no real possessions of note.
Weapons:
xxxxHe fights with two sickles attached by a long chain and worn around his belt. As a puppet his threads can be used to weave nets and set trip lines. Usually however, he will morph into a different creature for fighting.
Biography:

The Trick
Fey of Yevon's type are not born but rather created, crafted in a special ceremony by members of their own race. Yevon's mother was the centre-piece of a garden fountain on a rich estate in Barton's sprawling suburbs, it isn't clear whether she seduced the young master or if the affair was mutual, but she eventually subplanted the man's actual wife. Yevon was 'born' in response to the legitimate wife giving birth to her own son. More siblings followed but Yevon was his mother's only child.

Getting Older
As hard as it is to grow up with a father who changes wives like most women change clothes, it's even harder when your second-eldest brother is a shapeshifter with a mean-streak. The only time Yevon ever shone as an older brother was when someone in his family was actually threatened by something, otherwise he was the one doing the pranking, the scaring, the startling, and the bumping around in the night. He didn't like it when his mother left, but she was a free spirit and encouraged him to stay with his father until he felt ready to leave on his own.

Falling Out
He wasn't exactly 'ready' when everything fell apart for him however. At nineteen Yevon was still comfortably living in luxury, half-heartedly going to school on his father's tab, bored with the lives his siblings were rushing into and doing what he did best; pranking.

It was an accident, just- He didn't mean for- No, there was no excuse, nothing he could do to explain what happened when the youngest of his sisters drowned and the blame was rested squarely on him. They knew he couldn't touch their siblings who inherited one step-mother's feline genes, but they all knew their sister hadn't been able to swim either. The pool door should have been locked, it was always locked, why hadn't it been...?

It was an accident...

Since then...
Disowned and kicked out, Yevon hasn't really done much in the years since he was turned out from his home. School didn't work for him, though for a short time he did train under a magician in Durem (bad idea). After that there were a few stints in the local circus or travelling fair, but those didn't take either.

For now he's been working in Aekea, odd jobs, under the table things... It's something.

Profession:

Abilities (Physical):
xxxxWith extra-ordinary hearing, Ezra is extremely difficult to surprise or otherwise take off-guard. He has strong resistance to the cold and to bright lights.
Powers (Mystic):
xxxxHis main ability is 'touching' sound. Able to pull anything from a canary chirp to a gun-shot out of the air, this skill remains shakey and not yet mastered. He can then focus the vibrations back as a physical force with devastating, if uncontrolled, results.
Weaknesses:
xxxxLoud noises can cause Ezra terrible pain, especially anything at too high a frequency. As well, total silence can numb and disorient him, since he's used to constant noise. Fire is not his friend.

xxxx.
Name: User Image
xxxxKastraliss Isheol
Gender:
xxxxMale
Age:
xxxx16-19
Race:
xxxxLuna Adept/Necromancer
Profession:
xxxxN/A
Abilities (Physical):
xxxxBefore losing his arm, Kas was a protege for martial arts and close combat. Ambidextrous, he has nimble fingers and is completely comfortable using any sort of small, bladed weapon.
Powers (Mystic):
xxxxBefore being forced from his home, Kas was able to use all six domains practiced by his people: Gravity, Shadowmancey, Manipulation of Fleshes, Null, Curses, and Necromancy. However, due to Gaia not having the same concentration of 'Ether' as his home-world, he has come to lose all of his powers except for weakened Shadowmancy, Flesh control, and Necromancy. When he uses curses, they are of the Gaian variety and not those he practiced at home.

He maintains the ability to see perfectly in darkness.

Weaknesses:
xxxxKastra is severely handicapped by the loss of his right arm, so cannot defend himself physically from attack. His lack of proficiency with magic due to his age and the Ether drain also means his casting isn't very quick. Physically, he has an aversion to strong light and heat.
Appearance:
xxxxGangly and awkward most of the time, Kastra is tall and before the illness which accompanied the loss of his arm he was rather well muscled. He dresses very formally most of the time as a way of feeling secure; he shucked elaborate clothing when at home because it was uncomfortable, now it's one of the few things that still feels the same. He has his mothers chocolate brown eyes and his father's lank black hair. He cut it short when he came here but it's already growing out again.

When his shirt is off the scars from both his upbringing and his accident are revealed. There are two crisp crescent moons cut into his shoulders with three stars reaching up along his nape. His right arm ends four inches down from the shoulder, and the skin is heavily scarred.

Possessions:
xxxxA wooden prosthetic he wears on the stump, this arm is worn with a belt round his neck and two around his chest. It cannot move or do anything on its own.

A novice copy of the forbidden book known as the "Tomegathericon", it contains many dangerous spells and incantations, but since coming to Gaia it has lost contact with many of the spirits who used to haunt its pages.

Weapons:
xxxxKnives:
Kastraliss's "knives" range from actual steak-knives to proper throwing ones, kunai, shuriken, long needles, medical scalpels, or broken scissors. In essence, anything with a sharp bit to it can be used by him or found on his person. He doesn't judge.

xxxxVomica:
He came through to this world with his inheritance sword "Vomica", but she won't listen to him and despises the fact that she was brought into this world away from his mother- her true master. If he wants to try and use her, Kastra has to summon her first.

Biography:

Weyard
Kastr's home world is known as Weyard, a six-element self-contained universe with its own pantheon of Gods and Representatives who oversee the geometrically flat realm. Because Weyard rests along the outskirts of the Multiverse it is rarely effected by the shifting network of planes which make up Gaia Prime, and the Pantheon has always been confident that this is how things would remain.

Weyard is also a well of Ether; the raw energy of creation which gives rise to Mana. Think of Ether as unrefined Mana, where one who uses Mana must learn to control Water and Ice separately, someone with the ability to use Mercury Ether will have both 'elements' presented to them at the same time. The Ether is also part of the reason why the six Clans dominate the population: only a tiny minority of humans in Weyard are born without any elemental affluence.

Family
Kastraliss's father was known by the name Necare, or "Murder", who seized control of the Luna Clan during a war between Darkness and Wind. A powerful speaker, the autocratic clan accepted their new dictator with minimal fuss and went on to establish a treaty ending the eighteen-month (yes, month) hostilities. Kastra's older sister Kersaine was born the following year, shocking their little world when she was revealed to be a Sol Adept despite both of her parents being high-ranking officials within Luna- their father was the Leader, and their mother was the Head Artificer and Clan Engineer. Three years later after the scandal had been put to death rest, Kastraliss was born.

Growing Years
At best, a wimpy child. Growing up with a doting mother, a tyrannical sister, and an aloof father, it was hard for the youngest member of the head family to ever know when he was actually in trouble, so he made the mistake of believing Kersaine just always assumed he was. More frightened of his father than he should have been, Kastra spent his first four years glued to his mother's hip, beginning his education early first with her, then with his father (which should have helped with his fear, but didn't), and then to the Clan Second and his parents' close friend for more formal study once he turned seven.

The Academy
By the time Kastraliss turned twelve his father had had enough. Compounding his son's proficiency with Necromancy (a terribly common power, not prized like his mother's gravity or sought after like Necare's own Null) with the boy's fear of absolutely anything, the Clan Leader shipped his son to the Imperial Military Academy a year early to complete five years intensive training.

On at least four separate occasions it almost killed him, but on four separate occasions he got himself out of trouble and was all the better for it. Building confidence, making friends, winning challenges and learning to hate the person he used to be, after only three of his five years Kastraliss was thrilled for the chance to go home for his sister's Eighteenth birthday and show his family just how far he'd come.

Betrayed
He beat his sister at something for the first time when he visited the citadel again for Kersaine's birthday. He would have been content with that, but then his father asked his opinion on some trivial matter and his answer actually made him smile. When one of his instructors in the occult arts called him aside to show him something down in the fortress crypts, the boy was walking on clouds behind him.

He was leaning over one of the vents of Ether which naturally fed the citadel when the knife pierced the back of his throat and came out the front.

Maybe it was the Ether so close to him and filling the air, or maybe it was those rumors of his father having been touched by Luna herself, or sired by Regnoare the Goddess's representative that gave him the power when he needed it. Life blood gushing from his wound and body collapsing from a severed spinal cord, Luna's prince cast a forbidden technique no one had showed him, divine inspiration striking down the traitorous man where he stood.

But Kastraliss didn't die.
He was given a second chance on Gaia instead.

Since then
Kastra's life on Gaia began in a very bad way. Weyard's languages are unique to itself, so when he arrived he had no way of communicating, verbally or via script and text.
Weyard is a world saturated in Ether, whereas Gaia runs primarily off of Mana, causing his powers to practically evaporate as he wasted his body's stores of Ether.
The shock and trauma of what had happened to his body and spirit left him with no immediate memory of what had happened or where he was.

All of these factors combined with the dark, dangerous streets of Durem led to Kastra looking like a very appealing snack. He was rescued from that fate of course, but not before his right arm was damaged beyond the available medical or mystic repair. Kastra has remained alongside the Wolfman Warai since then, his debt is endless.

Personality:
xxxxIn spite of the progress he had been making back home, after arriving in Gaia Kastraliss comes off as either a nervous, jittery wreck or overcompensates and behaves like a cold jerk. He's stuck constantly comparing the person he was back home; an accomplished aristocrat, a young man with physical talent and a high level of mystic power, to what he is now; a one-armed, semi-literate boy who can't cut his own food or carry anything too heavy for his one hand to take. It's frustrating, it's stressful, and the fact that he can't remember what happened at home to bring him to this place tests his religious convictions everytime he's forced to think about it.

Name: User Image
xxxxKastraliss Isheol
Gender:
xxxxMale
Age:
xxxx27-32
Race:
xxxxHuman
Profession:
xxxxComposite Necromancer
Abilities (Physical):
xxxxWith or without his prosthetic right arm Kastraliss is fully capable of looking after and caring for himself without assistance from people around him. His ambidexterity doesn't seem like it would come through with a false limb but he uses both mechanical and flesh hands proficiently. Physically, his body isn't much different from a normal human's although he does have the 'cat-like' ability to almost always land on his feet after falling or being thrown. He can see clearly with minimal lighting. His mechanical right arm, as ought to be expected, is exponentially stronger than his left, but is limited by an organic shoulder.
Powers (Mystic):
xxxxA Composite Necromancer is one who specializes in the use of organic matter to make magic and spells work. Kastra's two main materials are the blood and ashes of victims, but he also works comfortably with paper, salt, hair, and bones.

When in the presence of those who have died, or places associated heavily with death, the Necromancer is able to summon the spirits to attack for him, but their strength varies depending on the concentration of spirits, the association of the area, and his own fatigue levels. Blood is often necessary for these summonings.

He always has the materials on his person to summon his five liches:
    Agatha, the Naga
Agatha is armed with deadly poison from both her bite and claws.

    Edna, the Mantis
Edna's forearms are shaped like a mantis's claws, long sharp razors taking up the inner fold of both.

    Elizabeth, the Chimera
With the head of a lion, tail of a snake, back legs of a dragon and front of a horse, Elizabeth's physical strength trumps the other liches.

    Mary, the Harpie
A fierce bird-woman, Mary is able to fly for short periods of time and her screams have a disabling effect on machinery, radio-waves and electronics.

    Feh Jiang, the Traitor
A former friend from his homeland, after attempting to kill him this martial-artist was enslaved by the Necromancer. He doesn't usually summon her during fights because the other four are much stronger.

These women cannot 'die' because they are literally bonded to him, and can only be freed once he dies or chooses to release them. Kas must occasionally feed them with his own blood to maintain the hold.

He is able to forge gates to the Netherworld, but these take time to construct and are difficult to keep open.

**When in the Spirit Realm or close to a gate leading there, Kastraliss's body may absorb enough Ether to restore his lost Adept powers. These powers include the manipulation of Gravity, Shadows, and Acids. This effect is always temporary and the effort necessary to open a portal in the first place often keeps him from doing so.

Other techniques such as communion with spirits, resurrections, or possessions are possible, but Kastra rarely choses to do so unless in need of the money.

Weaknesses:
xxxxWhen his right arm is in a state of disrepair or is simply not with him, Kastra's ability to physically defend himself is dramatically reduced and his balance is thrown off. He maintains a strong physical aversion to light and heat, but has no issue with things dubbed 'holy' or 'beneficent' beyond the theology.
Appearance:
xxxxA very neat and refined man, Kas allows his lank black hair to remain long but keeps it cut neatly at the shoulders and no further. Disdainful brown eyes and often dressed formally in a three-piece suit with a tie and polished shoes, he wears gloves almost constantly to hide his right fingers and a leather sleeve on his arm for the same reason.

Under his clothes the moons and stars from his youth have grown into a myriad of painstakingly cut and burnt runes which travel up his left arm from the back of the hand, across his shoulders, down his back and sides, then loop up over his chest. These runes channel his powers and can be used to bleed himself when required for a spell.

His right shoulder is heavily scarred from the wolf-attack which cost him the rest of his arm, but a surgery after he turned eighteen embedded a metal rod into the six-inch stump in place of the arm bone. This rod continues down and out of the flesh for the length of a proper arm-bone and is notched to provide a locking mechanism for his metal arm. There are five pins embedded in his skin which also lock into the prosthetic, and these are attached to the main arteries and veins to provide the arm with blood. When he is not wearing his arm, Kastra puts on a rounded wooden case to keep the metal from being damaged or accidentally hitting someone.

Possessions:
    The Tomegathericon
And not the novice copy either. This book is thick, black, and saturated with occult energies and ether. Kastra used it in order to perfect his casting and memorize the techniques. He's read through it several times and keeps copied pages on his person for emergencies. The actual book is kept safe in the Netherworld.

    Necromancer's Belt
A heavy Ultility belt capable of being loaded up all the way to his knees, this belt carries his blood vials, ashes, scrolls, salts, bones, herbs, and anything else a professional like him might need to make his spells work properly.

    Hide Vest
Made of dragon hide and golumn skin, this long, stiff article can't stop bullets but has powerful elemental resistance and is able to turn away most blades and sharp objects. Shrapnel has a difficult time piercing it unless he's standing too close, and from the right angle bullets can skim off. Like kevlar of course this vest cannot stop the force from hitting him, just the object.

    Right Arm
      Artificer: Nerxika, the Caine.
If his lifestyle was a little safer Kastra wouldn't go through these things so fast. Built to last, this recent model features a smooth outer casing lined on the inside with rubber insulation. All models run off hydrolics, kinetic gears, and alchemistic stones with no electric components (allowing him to bathe and swim with it on). The hydrolics are powered by his own blood and, when necessary, manipulated through his own magic for increased strength or as a casting pool. The chambers are forged from Orichalcum, a heavy, water resistant metal which does not conduct electricity.
There are round stones set in the elbow, wrist, and tips of each finger and thumb. These stones are exposed at least in part and provide the arm with an additional power-source. The stones are charmed either with lightning, fire, and occasionally with ice. Kastra must physically change the stones in order to change the element.

Weapons:
xxxx
    Knives
Still fond of anything sharp and pointed, when fully geared up Kastra can expect to carry between thirty and fifty knives and needles. He doesn't use random junk anymore.

    Vomica
As tempermental as before, Kastra's inheritance sword is proof that his mother is still alive back home. Once the queen dies, the sword will stop fighting him.

Biography:

Childhood
See previous post.

Home
As hard as it is to be lost, it's even worse knowing exactly where you are, where home is, and all the reasons why you can never go back. Kastraliss has been assured a place in his world's cycle of rebirth once he dies on Gaia, but at the same time he can never hope to return home until then. It is very difficult to communicate across the barrier of worlds, and over the years he has simply stopped trying unless it's a matter of extreme importance. If he were to return tomorrow, he need only set foot on Weyard's surface before Luna's favour to him would expire and he would die on the spot.

An Arm
When he turned eighteen, Kastra's body had finally stopped growing and changing enough for a serious solution to his deformity to be put into practice. Three surgeries and five prototypes later, he was given a mechanical arm strong enough to break down doors, gentle enough to hold a person's hand, and precise enough after a bit of practice for him to do anything from writing with a pen to building a house of cards. Unfortunately he and Nova fell into Gaia's Black Market hardly a week after his stitches came out and have run with it since then.

Durem
The amount of money one can make in Durem is staggering, and the amount that one can hold onto if they know how and where to spend it makes a tidy little nest egg. True, Nova and Kas never went very high up the market ladder, remaining as two solid middle-low hands for hire, but it's better to do the simple jobs well than the complex ones badly, and they were content with staying off the radar. Of course, in the Fanged City it's hard not to get in trouble sometime, and after managing to piss off a very big cartel the two packed up and ran for the hills.

Between Dublin and Durem
In need of a rest after being chased out of Durem, Kas settled into The Quill for what was supposed to be a few days. Instead, almost three months later he had settled into the wrong sort of lifestyle: that of a man who now had something to lose.

Falling in love is by far the stupidest thing Kas will ever admit to doing, but with good reason: when your job hazards include being randomly shot at or investigated by police agencies, the last thing anyone wants is a dependant to fret and worry about, regardless of whether or not that person can take care of themselves.

THIS IS NOT DONE AND I SHOULD FINISH IT SOON-ISH.

Since Then

Personality:
xxxxDepending on his mood Kastraliss shifts smoothly between gentlemanly manners and cold apathy for those around him. Unless he is in an extreme situation it is unlikely that his manner will ever break into panic, and he rarely loses his temper. Oftentimes in social situations he behaves most pleasantly with women but appears disdainful of men. This has been known to cause fights now and then when his manners are mistaken for flirtations, and he's quite comfortable popping that bubble whenever it drifts into sight, consiquences be damned. He rarely uses double-talk, so becomes flustered when people misconstrue his words or meaning.

xxxxRegnoare
Gender:
xxxxMale
Age:
xxxxEstimated at his mid-6000s.
Race:
xxxxHuman-Turned-Deity
Profession:
xxxxRepresentative of the Goddess Luna
Abilities (Physical):
xxxx.
Powers (Mystic):
xxxxWith his divine status, Regnoare has complete mastery of all five Lunarian Domains.
    Gravity-
Control over the force of Gravity, this is the natural power the world's satellite has over the surface realm. The magic essentially plays with the target's 'centre' of gravity, moving it about as the caster desires to whatever effect is within their range of skill, power, or distance. Most often performed to lift and throw items, it allows the user to 'fly' or 'fall' in any direction chosen. It is easier to effect the caster's body and an inanimate object..

    Umbra-
Typical shadowmancy, Umbra is easiest to use on moonless nights, but is most potent when used against a powerful light source. Basic illusions can be performed in the darkness or by 'denying' certain parts of the color spectrum. Regnoare makes frequent use of this misdirection. Umbra is also the branch of powerful responsible for the "Lunarian Teleport" or shadowwalking, which permits the user to step through the darkness in a given realm and 'walk' back to a familiar place. The strength of the caster allows for longer jumps to less familiar locations.

    Necromancy-
Regnoare uses this skill almost solely for the summoning of spirits, carrying few if any of the materials required for Composite Necromancy. His skill with calling spirits is very great, stretching into the realm of the abstract to summon the 'memories' of spirits, or echos of a person's former self. He does not use Necromancy as a combat skill.

    Death-
The manipulation of flesh and organic materials. This domain is difficult to extend in the direction of plant matter due to their concentration of Venusian Ether, but the flesh of animals and all tissues including the blood may be used according to the caster's will. Typically, this range of skills is focused on the alteration of PH levels, creating acids and poisons, or even bases and antidotes.

    Null-
The negation of magical effects, the science of atoms is not known in Weyard, but it likely works as insulation between individual atoms, nullifying their bonds and negating any energy which might otherwise be released by the separation. Beings of concentrated magic feel a numbing pain when exposed to Null, this effect is often the signature of a true Luna Adept; they all contain a weak aura of Null in their bodies, often given as the reason for their exuberance when casting. It is hard to be subtle when your body is working to negate your own abilities.

His body also serves as a well of Ether whilst traveling through Gaia.

Weaknesses:
xxxxWhile on Gaia, Regnoare's easy ability to simply vanish from any given situation is compromised, as are his powers over the natural world and either inspiring or requesting divine miracles. This is a weakness mainly because he's so proud that he often forgets about these new restrictions.
Appearance:
xxxxA very tall man at almost 6'7", his skin is dark from the Western edge of his Clan's Empire. With a long mane of black hair which runs down his back, sharp serrated teeth and often wearing an assortment of shamanistic charms around his neck and across his chest, the Representative can be a terrifying figure. His eyes are black and he often walks about with the appearance of being unarmed. He frequently disguises himself so as to properly fulfill his Goddess's commands.

xxxxLevi Holmstead
Gender:
xxxxMale
Age:
xxxxMid-200s
Race:
xxxxAngel
Profession:
xxxxA fledgling in the Order of Azrael, Angel of Death
Abilities (Physical):
xxxxAs an angel Levi's body requires a fraction of the food, water, and sleep expected of most beings. He can eat as much mortal food as he wants, but it won't actually sustain him in any tangible way. His life is extended due to his heritage and he has a strong resistance towards demonic things.
Powers (Mystic):
xxxxHis passive abilities revolve around the use of glamors and phasing techniques which allow him to hide his angelic traits and escape sticky situations by returning home. His alignment also gives him an innate knowledge of a person's expected lifetime: the closer he comes to someone (emotionally), the easier it is for him to sense the circumstances of their death. This makes him apt at picking out immortals and the undead.

Actively, Levi's skills focus primarily in the realm of protection and guardianship: he can summon barriers of energy to stop assaults which are either physical or spiritual, just not at the same time. As an Angel of Death, he can unlock or seal memories from a soul's past life.

Weaknesses:
xxxxLevi is the sort of angel who, when he seems something wrong, goes out of his way to fix it. With the state of the mortal realm in his world being what it is (explained later), this means the young Cherubim is almost constantly running on fumes. If Levi isn't careful (and he usually isn't careful) he can quickly find himself in over his young head.

Levi may not be able to work himself to "death" as it were, but a Cherubim stranded too far from home runs the risk of falling into an angelic coma: a restful sleep which may last days, years, or millenia, depending on the desperation of the Angel's needs and how conducive the environment is towards rejuvenation. Any 'holy' or sacred place is holy to an Angel.

Appearance:
xxxxLevi's mind and body age at exactly the same pace, which explains his youthful, teenage appearance. Thankfully, this doesn't mean he can regress to a child, at least not in theory.

His skin has a light brown tan and his hair is a vibrant red, cyan eyes giving his refined face a look from the British isles. He isn't very tall, but his body is lean and roped in muscle. His wings identify him as a Cherubim: one of the lowest rungs on the angelic ladder, and are a sharp, steely gray. Not terribly long, he is better at moving fast and making sharp turns than for gliding over long distances.

His typical outfit consists of the layered robes of an Angel of Death: a long, charcoal-grey robe similar to a priest's habit, with a sleeveless black robe with a hood worn over-top. Under both layers are a pair of slate grey pants and a white shirt, and his feet are either sandaled or booted depending on his mood and his general location. He wears a heavy silver medallion around his neck with the symbol of Azrael, and the same mark is stamped in white onto the back of his black robe.

Possessions:
xxxx
    Order Scrolls
These parchments usually carry Levi's most recent orders from on-high. They tell him where he should be, and for about how long. It isn't clear by what method or how often his orders are recycled and changed.

    Medallion of Azrael
This thick, heavy silver medallion has the Archangel Azrael's mark inlaid onto it in Onyx. It provides Levi with protection and is able to resonate when another angel of the same Order (or their medal) is in the vicinity.

Weapons:
xxxx
    Guardian Shield
This round silver shield resembles a giant bowl with a handle built across the inside and the inside half-filled with magic-resistant ore. Crafted from a single massive piece of mythril and studded along the outside with charms of the Order of Michael (Archangel of War), this shield is large enough to cover Levi from neck to knees and is worn along his back. It is used as a catalyst for many of his barrier spells, and need not be in the angel's hands in order to throw up a protective field. It will not function in the hands of a demonic being or an impure mortal.

Biography:

The Three Worlds
Original RP
Sequel - Includes Post-apocalyptic earth

Like Kastraliss' Weyard, Levi's Earth was and is a realm separate unto itself within the Multiverse. Separated into the familiar three realms of Heaven, Hell, and Earth, Levi's world featured a more fully developed fourth layer of "Purgatory", through which he crosses into other parts of the Multiverse.

Celestia is the Kingdom of the Angels, who mediate between their world's grand deity and have guardianship over the human race.

Earth is the mortal realm of Man. Reminiscent of "Modern" Gaia before its destruction, this world was completely familiar to anyone who takes a bus to work or likes going to movie theatres, down to place names and world religions.

Sheol is the Kingdom of the Archdemons, or the classic hell based off the Divine Comedy.

Purgatory, which lies between Earth and Sheol, was the layer within which all souls unborn and unjudged existed, lingering and awaiting either rebirth or reincarnation within the Mortal Realm.

Becoming a Guardian
Levi began his life as a human. His parents were loyal collonial subjects in 19th century India, but were killed in the 1857 failed war of independence. Levi survived the event because that day he was pulled aside and ended up leaving the estate because he saw an angel flying over his parents' villa. The same angel then watched Levi show kindness towards the people who'd burned his home and saved him from sharing the same fate at the hands of the crowd. In heaven he primarily guarded and looked over the spirits of children separated from their parents by death. Less than an angel, but more than a human.

Apocalypse
As is often the case in worlds which boast a Heaven and Hell, tensions between the two extremes eventually culminated in a terrible event: not only did Sheol rise up under the Overlord's power to strike Celestia, but it decimated Purgatory and Earth in the process. Decimated.

Only a few demons possessing the right politicians brought human civilization to its knees through nuclear holocaust, and the winter which followed killed most of the stragglers. The barrier between life and death was literally smashed clean through, and even after the Overlord's swift death and the reinstatement of a new Master of Sheol, the damage was done. The dead walk, the living see ghosts, angels, demons, spirits. Peaceful souls once set waiting in purgatory were flung up into a post-apocalyptic world, and the gate-guardians of Hell were tossed from their posts and left dumb and volatile in the ruins of cities.

And the most damning consequence? The Gate to the Gaia Mainstream, the road through the Multiverse, once monitored and safe in Purgatory, was whipped open for anyone brave or unlucky enough to pass through.

An Angel of Death
The Order of the Archangel Michael, the warriors, were decimated after the war, as was the Order of the Archangel Azrael.

For the valuable role Levi played in the war, his spirit was raised up and promoted to the rank of Cherubim within Azrael's Order. His task was transformed from protecting young angelic souls to defending the dwindling human population, but this soon changed once the damage done by the Multiverse Gate was recognized. Levi and his fellows have been tasked with retrieving souls and spirits native to their world, both those who are truly lost and others which may be more resistant to the idea of going back.

Meanwhile, The Orders of Uriel, the Guardians, and Gabriel, the Messengers, have since taken on the task of minding the Mortal realm whereas the Demons have poured their efforts into re-stabilizing Purgatory: even demonic souls wind up in Purgatory eventually, and that is why they can be trusted to rebuild that layer of the soul-bound reality.

Since Then?
.

Personality:
xxxxLevi is a go-getter and a shameless optimist. He does, however, suffer from heroic tunnel-vision and frequently leaps without looking. In fact he just sort of leaps all the time, regardless of his own wants, needs, or whatever he was supposed to be doing at the time.

Archangel Azrael may have his hands full with a Post-Apocalypic world, but that doesn't mean he intends to work his angels into catatonia. Levi often avoids his fellow angels, especially those he knew as a Guardian, because they 'don't understand' how important his work is. His friends and superiors always demand that he go home and rest, that he eat more, sleep more, spend some time recharging in Celestia so he can do his job better, but he has yet to listen.

Allow me to introduce myself: Eldin Kairos

For some reason people like calling me: The Red Knight

My Physical Soul: Male

The Weight I Carry: 190lbs, 230 fully armored.

At Which I Stand: 5'10"

I’m proud to be what I am and what I am is a: Demon

My Allegiance is to: His Royal Highness, King Velamir!

The Advantage Rests: As a demon, Eldin is aligned with the element of fire, giving him incredible resistance to heat, cold, and the power to conjure his own flames and channel their energy. He specializes in the use of raw heat, since unlike fire it's much harder for opponents to see and track. He has some noteworthy healing abilities and strength and endurance superior to a human's, but his magic is still his most valuable asset.

As a soldier, Eldin is an incredibly skilled horseman and has a way with most beasts of burden. He wears a sword but prefers pole-arms due to his background in the cavalry and dragoons. As a soldier who fights on horseback as well as on the ground, his armor is something he can summon out of the harness strapped to his body at almost all times. It takes a lot of raw power to activate this enchantment, but technically any fire-demon of a similar size could take the armor and wear it. But his war-horse? Whole other ball-game right there.

In which I Fall: Eldin cannot swim, and with his armor he'd probably sink if he tried. When fully armored he's very slow in battle, and when he's just in his clothes he can't take more than a few hits before going down. His casting has a range so anything flying has a good chance of out-doing him, his elemental resistance also has limitations- he can still burn, and he can still freeze.

His most important weakness? Eldin is a duty-bound individual. He'd rather die than disobey an order, and he's a little too proud for his own good.

I mostly act like this: Again, Eldin is a duty-bound knight of Velamir. He comes from higher up in the warrior class of the kingdom and was raised with a soldier's mentality. He's a commander, a warrior, a fighter, so doesn't often take well to frivolous humour. He does, however, understand the importance of letting soldiers relax and feel good about themselves; they'll die for each other if they're friends, comrades, companions.

He believes strongly in fighting and dying for ones beliefs, so he's actually able to respect most of his enemies in the Queen's court- he just doesn't agree with them, thus the fighting and the dying. He's not the sort to respect or forgive betrayal or disloyalty, or any other behaviour he finds disrespectful.

Women in the army? What weak, insipid b*****d would send his own daughters off to war?

If you find me Interesting: Raised with a soldier's mentality in the upper echelon of the royal capitol, Eldin's father is one of the King's generals and commands a terrible army, one which Eldin will inherit- if he survives this quest. His younger sister was married off some time ago and he hasn't kept in contact with her, so she might be dead. His mother runs their household with a tight fist, so his respect for her is extremely deep: women do not fight, because they have more important obligations and skills. Eldin's views are often decidedly traditional.

Growing up, Eldin wasn't the only boy in his family, but he killed his younger brother a few months ago after a spat between them. He still thinks he was right, and so feels no guilt over the slaying: they'd both believed something different about the King and their Father, so when Faron drew a sword against him Eldin was obligated to meet that challenge. His father forgave and went on to promote him in the army for his actions, giving the young lord his first command position.

His name, unfortunately, hasn't passed very far into the realm of light. He isn't a Dread Lord like his father- yet, and he's yet to sack a city on his own, but he's been present at a number of battles. He's probably got the most battle experience of the party, simply due to the fact that he started young- long before reaching full maturity.

I can't resist smiling when I have things like: Testing his powers and learning new techniques. He loves horses and riding any kind of beast, and crafting has always interested him more than tactics. He prefers hardy meals to delicacies, function over form, and anyone he deems loyal or respectful is welcome at his table.

Not really my thing and it's not good having around me: Female warriors- specifically their male family members. He doesn't like deep water or being made to sit idle for too long anywhere. Being separated from his men is also hard on him. Frivolities and luxuries don't have much place in his world view- but he'd consider himself a better man if he could provide that sort of lifestyle, just as long as he didn't have to live it.

What I look like: Eldin is an Officer in King Velamir's army, and wears his rank proudly.

I have only one master/mistress and they are the ones who pull my strings: Child of Gehenna

He keeps the key around his neck alongside a German Iron Cross.

He doesn't know that there's a daisy tattoo on the back of his neck that's keeping his memories sealed. It's hidden by the fall of his hair so he's yet to notice it. As his memories are returned, petals fade from the flower.

                                    w e i g h t | 190
g i f t | Superhuman tolerance: Adonai has more endurance than your average person, but his power mainly focuses on resistance to pain, temperature, poison and disease, and it is more of a passive effect than his sister's dazzling foresight. He's never starved himself to see how little food he can survive on, but he's never been physically ill in his life and has been chastised by his caregivers for using broken or damaged limbs because he claimed his broken fingers didn't hurt "that much". A snake-bite as a child proved he has remarkable resistance to natural poisons, but there's no telling how he'd fare against something more potent. Adonai has neglected to really train and build up his tolerance to things beyond pain and endurance through hard work, which is something he's been criticised for.

p e r s o n a l i t y | Adonai is a very simple person who is very content with his life. His ambitions as the second born of Sevarin have always been very tame: to increase the wealth and safety of his sister's people however she chooses to use him. His faith in others is often considered naive, but only by people who have never seen him wronged. It's very hard to provoke his wrath but only because Adonai knows that once he lets his temper go, he'll keep going and going and going until there's no one left to get his hands on. He knows how to conduct himself as a prince, but as soon as people start using double-talk or expect him to read between the lines, he gets lost.

s t o r y | Adonai was born very quickly after his sister Amelia: as little as ten months. While his sister was often brought down by her headaches and caused a stir with her fainting spells and quiet nature, Adonai was occasionally looked at as a suitable alternative to the throne.

A trouble-making and unstoppable child, his gift went almost completely unnoticed for most of his life until one winter brought a sickness into the castle. Most of the Prince's nannies and handlers were afflicted, but the Prince himself remained unphased. The incident was repeated when the Prince and two of his friends went out riding and came back drenched by a winter rain storm: the servants both nearly caught their death, but the prince was barely shivering.

The extent of his political prowess is him hoping his marriage to the neighbouring princess will let him focus on public works and construction projects, rather than wars and military service which is the only other area in which he excels. Roads, bridges and commerce houses are only the first stage of his building plans, but only if his marriage to the Carelith Princess will finance it.

w e a p o n r y | Because he's a bit bigger in size and stature, Adonai's preferred weapons are short battle-axes and one long war-hammer. In order to keep appearances up in the High Castle he's more interested in using his quarter-staff, a four-foot long rod of decorated oak heartwood. He keeps one knife at his belt for utility purposes.

t r i v i a | In order to be a builder you have to know math, and in order to be an architect you have to know form. Adonai has taken full advantage of his royal upbringing to try and learn far more about engineering than he rudely knows about statesmanship. He's passionate about everything from ditch-digging to plastering buttresses, and usually needles his sister to help him when his calculations just won't work.
Username: Child of Gehenna
Name: Eldin Kairos
Alias/Nickname: Colonel
Race: War Demon
Gender: Male
Age: 45 (Real: approximately 100)
Side: Violet
Weapon(s): Sword and Shield.
Armor: Heavy steel armour, but he travels with a thick medallion of the Sorceress Scarlet he claims doesn't work anymore.
Magic: The Colonel is primarily a creature of fire, his body consistently radiates heat but he can control the output. He often prefers to channel heat itself rather than fire, because one is harder to avoid than the other.
Special Abilities/Talents: He is a trained soldier and commander. As a creature bred for war he has higher endurance, strength, and pain tolerance, but has grown modest about these things. He weakens desperately in extreme cold and absolutely cannot swim.
Bio: The Kairos line was bred for war in the service of Scarlet the Sorceress. During her reign of terror Eldin and his siblings were proud to serve her, happy to, in fact. He killed his own brother Faron for betraying the Sorceress and his noble father, mother, and sister fell in her service when Scarlet was sealed away. In the half-century since then he's grown remorseful. His family deserved better. His men deserved better. His wife... He's spent the past three decades after losing his wife Carin to something he won't discuss willingly, but with news of the Sorceress' return spreading, he's left his mercenary work in Oraev's mines and come searching for the Priestess. Scarlet should never return, not while the last Kairos is still breathing.
Other: He's stubborn as an iron brick. Also, because his kind were bred for a specific purpose he doesn't have the same longevity as other demonic creatures. He only ages twice as slowly as a human and is occasionally mistaken for a human unless angered.
Appearance: His age shows, and he's a strong, mature older man with dusky skin and eyes which hover between yellow and gold, though they darken considerably when he's under physical stress. Dark, wine-red hair hangs to his chin and is threaded with grey, he often lets himself grow a beard when working in the mountains for months at a time. With an officer's careful senses he keeps his arms and armor, although mundane in make, spotless and in excellent condition. He almost always wears his steel breastplate between his shirt, jerkin, and a black and red travelling robe. He's a gaunt, severe looking person most of the time with many scars to prove he's not one to tangle with.
