Sawa blinked, the only thing one could note as surprise for the young pilot. Movement, he felt. And just like that, a tiny almost toy-like figure shifted to the size of a normal human right at his side. Ah... so Xiao-Feng had been in his pocket all along? While the boy wouldn't admit it, it was a little unnerving, how she snuck into his clothing like that without warning, then jumped out equally as randomly. The sound of her voice calling out “Surprise, kid!” was accompanied with a sharp jab to his ribs. Grimacing at the sharp sting at his side, Sawa glanced at the girl. "... Xiao-Feng-san." He greeted, rubbing at the spot for a second, before letting his arm drop back to it's original position. There were matters a tad more pressing than sore ribs at the moment.

“I’m with Nakae- code names are operative to keep our identities secret. Can’t have dear Makaze finding us so easily. That's not going to be a problem, right?"

"Of course not. Then Sawa will be referred to as Private?

Sawa silently let his gaze shift between the two females, a look of mild interest (if that's what you called it) on his face. "Xiao-Feng-san and I can be Privates, and you can be a Sargeant if that suits you." That would have to do, and hopefully the other guardsmen and whatnot of the Emperor's Palace would not be too questioning. If any advantage was to be given to their band of mechas, it was the point that in a place that large, with such a 'top priority' person to guard, there'd surely have to be a good number of guards, those of which couldn't possibly know every other person who was a guard. Of course, on the flip side, if they were found out, they could just as easily be captured through disadvantage by sheer numbers. Without a prompt, Kyou started off aiming to close the space between their destination swiftly. Letting her take a few steps ahead, Sawa eventually set himself into motion, finding a suitable pace for himself that would not leave him lagging behind nor leave him tired out before they even arrived.

“I hope we aren’t going in the south entrance- it’s more heavily guarded than I like, particularly with a large group like this,”

The other girl piped in, the words directed at their 'Sargeant'. Whether the thought was right or not, Sawa had the feeling that Xiao-Feng did very much so enjoy playing around with the Mecha Leader in the way of her words. With that same mild expression on his face, Sawa listened silently as Kyou sighed, before proceeding to answer somewhat exasperatedly. During this time, the boy tapped the end of one of his guns lightly, giving it a quick glance-over; it was prepared should they need it, he'd done it before leaving, but it was always good to double-check. Not only would that save face (if you really cared about that, because he didn't really) but perhaps one's life as well.

After that last exchange of words, the trio fell silent, and the rest of the trip ensued in that same sort of half quietness. That was fine, because despite being on constant alert the closer they got to the Emperor's Palace, it was also a good opportunity to do a last run through mentally. His teachers had always said he was very cautious... It was only went about twenty minutes had elapsed, that Kyou spoke to him. "How's it going?" The mecha didn't even really wait to hear the response, thus Sawa answered with a simple "Fine," still having kept to the pace he'd set himself earlier on. It was serving him well still too, because he was hardly out breath. The reality of them being so near to the heart of the Emperor's reigning throne was becoming more and more pronounced; even so, Sawa still kept his cool, finding his mind more alert and sharp in such a situation in fact.

At just about the same time Kyou spotted the 'lucky' guards, Sawa had as well. This was it. A tension run high strung had began to run through his body. Now or never, right? ...

Apparently so, because without warning (though with an apology), Kyou snatched him up yet again before running straight for a wall like it wasn't one and running up it. Setting him down, she quickly proceeded to take out one of the two guards out. Slightly irritated that he'd been subject yet again to such treatment, Sawa pulled out one of his guns swiftly, as if he hadn't at all been fazed by the act, his expression quite unrevealing. He doubted it would be easy to get used to the way these Mechas did things, if he ever did at all. But even so, he had to admit, it was an efficient, if not usual way of doing things. Without a second to waste, the young pilot merely turned, knowing Kyou and Xiao-Feng would have his back. His eyes skimmed the area swiftly, wary and on the lookout for any other soldiers that could potentially chance to pass by.

If they were unfortunate enough to do so, they'd have to meet the same unconscious fate as their comrades.

The one thing that catches people's attention when gazing upon Orrin, is his deep gaze. The slate hue that his eyes carry give off quite an intensity, but there is no mistaking the glitter and spark of intelligence and awareness; perfect vision as well, an excellent asset for one who's skills involve accuracy and precision. He's got a thin and finely angled face, accenting the sure way in which he presents himself. His hair is a delicate and soft shade of green, a gentle aquamarine if you will. It's a bit lengthier on one side than the other, and the tips of his locks are flitty, and easily shifted in the wind. It's longest is only at the base of his neck, tapering off lightly and no further.

For a sixteen year old, Orrin has an average height of 5"6; but even so, the boy still has something of a childish look to him. That is, if you overlook the seriousness that tends to be found in his honest eyes. When he lightens up though, there's been more than a few times where Orrin has been mistaken for younger than he actually is. He's not sure if he should take this as a compliment or be offended, but there is no denying the fact that it may come in handy... for some strange reason one day. Moving on, Orrin's got a lean and fit look to him, not at all bulky despite the fact that his muscles, especially his arm muscles, are quite strong. It takes strength to fire an arrow with force after all! He's not overweight in the slightest, and in fact, he could stand to gaining a little weight! Not that it's easy for him, as Orrin has a tendency to spend most of his time in movement, despite what one may think.

Orrin opts for easy-movement clothing, as well as clothing that will allow him free movement of his arms and a clear view of his surroundings. He wears a thin white undershirt, along with a darker colored jacket above. His hands are always gloved, especially the one he uses when aiming his bow. Underneath the sturdy yet worn leather of the gloves, one can see the evidence of the boy's practice with his weapon, small light scars on his delicate-looking hands from his beginnings as an archer. His pants are as well, a dark color, and he wears black boots, that reach up to just above his ankles, decorated and bound with straps around. Around his waist as well, Orrin has a belt, which hangs slightly down(as it's a bit too big but he's not going to do anything about it thank you very much) where he carries basics like money and such. Finally, the one thing which can be found strapped to his back, is his bow along with his quiver of arrows. The bow is angled and positioned in such a way that it's easy to reach for when needed, the same for the quiver.

" But I do understand! It makes me feel like--... "

While Orrin does have a good handle on how much emotion he reveals to the outside world, inside is a different matter entirely. The young archer is one who can easily understand another's emotions, whether they be happy, pain or sadness. He seems to have always had the ability to identify with others and what they're feeling. For this reason, he's someone who will listen to problems and without one having to worry about him laughing or anything like that. He's quite an understanding person actually! But while this can be seen as an undoubtedly positive asset of his personality, it can also have some of it's own little downsides. For example, things like sadness and joy aren't the only emotions Orrin can relate with from another. It can be anything, and that goes for anger as well. Saying that, this means that it's not too difficult to push Orrin to a decision, or to bait him for good or bad. He is easily swayed by his, and the emotions and what others are feeling.

Without a doubt, Orrin's empathy allows him to connect with others quickly.

тнєяє іѕ dαиgєя bєнιиd єvєяү сояиєя ______________
" You should be careful... are you listening? You have to be aware of your surroundings... ! What if--... "

No matter how he tries to hide it, Orrin can't deny the fidgety worrier aspect of his personality. He's not the type to trust easily, one can be sure of that! Though young, he has quite a weary mentality, and he is forever on the look out for any dangers that could potentially befall him or his precious sister. He's a nervous young man, and it does take some time before the cautious look passes his eyes, not to mention it's not at all that difficult to set him on his guard and edgy. To the greatest extent, Orrin could be called somewhat of a pessimist, as he's always seems to pick out the downsides, the dangers, the problems, of whatever it is they are doing, but he doesn't like to think of it as so. Instead, he prefers to think of it as being prepared and 'expecting the unexpected'.

He's a worrier too, especially when it comes to people he's taken a liking too and especially his sister. When it comes to things like ruins, she tends to drift off in her own (embarrassing) world, but ruins are ruins for a reason! They're old, and what to do if she gets hurt, or lost, or...? Orrin can't bear the thought of anything happening to anyone close to him, thus the reason for this fidgety bit of his personality.

          қиоωℓєdgє ιѕ ιиvαυℓαbℓє ______________
" Actually, it's like this, you see. "

Now to tell the truth, Orrin has always been a good student, and he's pretty smart just by himself, but he never really used to put too much effort and attention into schoolwork. He'd like to say this is still the same for the present, but when the spark of yearning for knowledge struck his sister, it's only expected that he too gained information from it as well. It started out simply, and subtly really; his sister would comment on this or that that she'd learned recently from one of her many books, or she'd need someone to just talk to about all the amazing things she'd found out, so he'd listen. Bit by bit, the things that his sister spoke of starting sparking his own (lesser) craving for these bits of info, and the rest is quite easy to predict. He's got quite a bit of knowledge in his mind, from a variety of different topics.

Because of this, Orrin can sometimes come off as a haughty and arrogant little jerk, what with his little habit of correcting people when they're wrong. But he can't help it! (His sister is worse at this mind you) After all, if no one tells you you're wrong, then you'll go on being wrong forever. This makes logical sense to the boy (why shouldn't it?), but he gets the feeling that the main reason it irks people is because they're being corrected by someone younger than they. Argh, talk about narrow minded!

          Ά dαяқ ωιѕнιиg ______________
" Though they may not want it, I refuse to give up until I avenge them...! "

Despite the cool and calm manner Orrin tends to have, he's not as impassive as he may seem at a first glance. In fact, he's got a fiery and passionate determination burning deep within him, that only seems to flare brightly on occasion, as it seems to need a little push to grow strong. One such occasion, is the death of his parents. Despite the fact that neither he nor his sister have much more than hazy memories of that horrid day, the one thing Orrin is quite sure of, is the intensity of the hate he has for the Desians. They're the reason his parents are dead and he and his sister became 'orphans'. This is something though, that the boy keeps to himself. He feels if he were to tell his sister, she would be very disappointed in him. That's something Orrin can't bear the thought of (not that he'll ever admit that), thus he keeps the dark secret to himself. But really, if he were to get the chance to hurt the Desians that hurt his family, oh...

Not that him tagging along with the group of Holy Maidens was for that reason mind you! Orrin is completely earnest about helping out the Maidens on their quest, and he is aware that that is more important than his petty feelings. Heck, getting revenge will be like a bonus! ... That's the mentality the young boy likes to take, but he can't, and doesn't know how to get rid of the darkness in his heart, and the mere thought sets him shivering with rage. Not just because of his hate though, but also that he has such feelings in the first place.

              He loathes the Desians.

          тнє ѕоυℓ іѕ тяυє ______________
" W-what?! You're just trying to mess with me...! "

Orrin strives to present himself, and act like a mature person despite his young age. If anything, this is evidence of the need he feels to be able to be strong. But even so, Orrin does have a lighter side, which can be seen quite clearly when around his sister more than anyone. She's so embarrassing and ugh, sometimes Orrin wonders if he isn't the more responsible one. But she definitely knows how to tease him or what to say to make him act differently. Another person like that, happens to just so be the Resolute Sword; though he's not exactly sure why, Orrin took an instant liking to the older male. To people he looks up to, Orrin will pretty much do anything for.

But another point about this, is how both his sister and (somewhat) idol enjoy teasing Orrin. Now, usually, he's got a quick tongue and snippy retorts and remarks ready for just about anyone. But these two... They really know how to push his buttons, and he's left speechless much to his dislike. Another thing to note as well, is how Orrin deals with affections or emotions like that; putting it simply though, he's really not sure how, and it can be quite frustrating...

» » A weapon made for Orrin specifically for the journey he would be undertaking. Created by a friend of his uncle's, the wood of the bow has a smooth sheen, the natural pattern adding to it's beauty. It's a finely crafted piece of work, and despite the way it thins out towards the end, sturdier than anything. The string is made of excellent material, resistant to breaking, moisture, and tautly connected to the wood of the bow. It dons the name of Hunter's Arcana, because with the careful care in which it was crafted along with the materials used to make it, the bow has a swift release, smooth movement, and strong force.

The arrows used with this recurve bow have a silver tip, carved with a design. The wooden shaft is lengthy yet thin and lithe for easy movement through the air, also decorated with two bands of colors, blue and white at the top and bottom. The feathers are short, yet soft, a black and white pattern adorning them.

xoxoxo Throwing Dagger

» » This is something Orrin's aunt gave her nephew as a parting gift, for she worried about their safety despite Orrin's reassurances that it was not likely he would allow anything to happen to his sister, and plus, he has his bow! The kind aunty was not to be waved away though, and she firmly placed the tiny sheathed dagger in Orrin's hand; a precaution she said, for what if he were to run out of arrows? What would he defend himself with them? With that, Orrin accepted the tiny weapon, and it now hangs from his belt by a simple loop.

It's nothing more than a backup weapon should he truly run out of arrows or the like, and despite the fact it's made of sturdy material, it most likely won't be able to stand up to larger and more weighty weapons.

Brushing wet strands of ebony black hair from his face, Yuuta yawned slightly. The time at the pool had been, he had to admit, pretty good. They'd actually spent quite some time at the lively and crowded leisure area, and the light and carefree atmosphere along with the refreshing feel of the water had been great.

But now they'd returned to their room, and Yuuta had just finished taking a shower. The warmth of the heated water felt nice on tense limbs. Now clothed in a pair of dark worn jeans along with a simple undershirt, the quiet boy made his way over to the side of the room where he'd left his things and the bed he'd claimed as his. Sitting down at the foot of the plush and comfortable looking bed, he ran a hand through his wet locks, shaking tiny droplets out of his dark hair as he did so. Absentmindedly then, Yuuta put a hand to his blind eye gently. Despite the fact that it was healthy, and there were no signs of the lack of vision it gave, the boy couldn't help but touch it with care. It'd become a habit in a way, how he handled his eye with care; and it was subtle too. There was no way that someone could decipher the reality of his blindness without having been previously told by someone else, or studying his eye carefully. And to think, that Aiko had ... Ah, not that it mattered!

Shaking those idle thoughts away just like the remaining droplets of wet from his hair, Yuuta threw the fluffy royal blue towel he had over his head. Letting his limited gaze wander, the boy glanced over to Daichi; he was at the moment sitting in the same chair he'd perched on when they'd first entered the room, still 'sitting' haphazardly. It couldn't really be called sitting though, if he was practically slipping off the seat. Not that the other male seemed to notice, or care, for that matter. He seemed entranced with the grand television set, and the flickering lights, images and sounds that it was emitting. The reflection of the television's images was in his eyes.

Letting his gaze drift yet again, Yuuta turned his attention to the movie that seemed to have gotten the other boy's attention. It was undoubtedly an action type, as there were plenty of explosions occurring. Other than the sound coming from the home theater speakers in the luxurious room, there was silence. Not that it was necessarily an awkward silence, and that was fine with Yuuta. The sound of the tv was pretty comforting actually-- At the sound of the door opening, Yuuta snapped his attention in that direction.

      "Hello? Room service?"

The now familiar voice called out lowly, before Hideo himself entered. Despite the easy going manner in which he moved and such, there was no doubt that the blond 'leader' had something quite important to say; the tone of his words hinted at it. Yuuta's speculation was soon proven correct, as Hideo, having grabbed a can of soda, turned to them, revealing his information.

"There are going to be some interrogations during tonight most likely. The problem is the person doing them: Min-Tai. How are we going to get out of that if we want to hang out? Most likely she'll keep us in there forever, being that WE were actually a part of that fight, and don't forget that we actually SPOKE to the members of D.E.A.F."

The blond was pretty to the point in his words, though then again, there was really no reason to mince words. The situation was what it was, and there was no way they (that meaning those in this room) could mistake the situation for anything else than what it was. Now in fact, Yuuta wasn't as much concerned with the hanging out bit, as with the fact that the headmistress wished to interrogate her students like they were criminals. Didn't anyone else see something wrong with that? Then again, perhaps he wasn't the best to judge it. After all, he'd never been to a school filled with... magic and the like. With every word more Hideo spoke, the more Yuuta's expression shifted into a serious pensive one. He didn't in the slightest expect being interrogated by the teachers to be a pleasant experience. If anything, Hideo was right; it'd be best to avoid to them. Not that they were trying to with hold info, or anything like that, but Yuuta was sure that right now was not the best time to fall under the Headmistress deadly glare. It'd been evidence enough how she'd acted upon arriving at the scene, even late... Standing up thoughtfully, Yuuta stepped over to the fridge, picking out a can of soda for himself. Popping the tab open, he allowed his mind to mull over Hideo's words yet again.

"... Staying away from obvious spots, like this room is best..." Yuuta replied finally, though he was quite sure that that was very obvious. Examples of said spots, would be as Hideo said, the area of the Harajuku spot, and incidentally, their room as well. After all, where was the first place the teachers would think to look? "The sensei will think of looking here..." Which meant they would have to spend a bit of time outdoors, wouldn't it? Or at least, scattered about the grand hotel, which would not be difficult. Taking a gulp of the soda, Yuuta glanced over to Hideo who'd taken a seat near Daichi.

"I don't think it'd be a good idea to drag any sensei anywhere. They're going to support Kouchousensei because they're teachers..."

In the back of his mind, Yuuta couldn't help but wonder; since when had he become... some sort of delinquent? If he was looking at this all right, wasn't he sort of helping plot an escape from teachers as if they'd done something wrong?

Inwardly, the silent boy huffed a sigh, before taking another drink of the sweet bubbly drink.

Kagami: A rural town away from the technological advances of modern Tokyo. With such a small population, it's really no surprise that everyone knows one another. Being such a tiny place, the town was relatively unknown, though their tourism was quite well off with their grand department store Espejo, Kagami Station, and last but not least, the Carnival, to attract tourists. That, and ... the strange things that happened on occasion. Some said it was because the town was located in an ideal spot for paranormal activity...

One fine September afternoon, a young male exited Kagami Station, taking in his first glimpse of his new home. Having come from Tokyo, he'd been sent by his mother to live with his father for the time being due to work. His father was a man who he hadn't seen since he was small, and who'd left his mother, returning to his hometown in the rural outskirts of Tokyo. Doubts and mixed feelings welled up, as he wondered how his life would turn out in a relatively boring place like this with no one familiar to turn to.

Turns out, his life would be more eventful than ever expected.

Meeting his father and step-sister for the first time, the male was treated to his first story of his new home, the one that marked the beginning of his unlikely adventures. His step-sister told him of a story, one to entertain him in an attempt to get him to warm up. A rumor had been going around, about the Carnival.

'Listen! I've heard some people say if you peel an apple at exactly midnight in front of a mirror, you can see the figure of your soul mate as your reflection.'

Not dwelling on this strange saying for too long, the boy headed for a rest when they arrived home. Here, he met two strange people who emphasized his destiny, how one's reflection was more than that. Waking up with a shivering sweat, he took this as his imagination exaggerating his step-sisters' tale.

Mizu-Kagami school was his next destination in this unfamiliar town, and as newcomers were few and far between, he was welcome relatively warmly. His first day, and he'd already acquired some companions. Eager to show him about, they offered him a tour of their tiny town. From one locale to the next, their final destination was one of the more frequented places. The Carnival. After all, with _____ who could get access to it for virtually free, why not? Here, the male enjoyed a fun day, only to come across The Carnival's most intriguing attraction. It's house of mirrors. Out of sheer conversational topics, he mentioned his step-sisters' story, and before they knew it, a dare had been placed. They'd return, and try this out in the most famous of mirror houses.

The face in the mirror that appeared was pale, hazy, but visible.

They had not expected this.

Feeling a pull to the mirror, the transfer student couldn't resist the need to reach a hand out. It was as if the person had been calling out for them... Unable to contain their fears, the group scattered into the mist of the night and left for their respective homes, only to meet again in the morning at school. The key topic of interest was the corpse that'd been found in the morning as the mist cleared on the beach. A student at their very school had been found dead. The one who'd appeared in the reflection.

Was there a connection...?

His eyes were half-closed, as he silently debated within himself whether to stay awake or just let go. The debate was short though, because while yes, his body was prepared to just shut down, Farrin found that stubbornly, he did not want that to happen. Not now, when not only did they not know the surrounding land or any of it's potential inhabitants, but also now that he'd been separated from the others.

At the sound of someone calling his name, Farrin forced his eyes open, feeling a gentle touch, shaking him as if trying to get him to wake.

⇨ The day the second prince of Nalios was born, the frigid air had warmed up a bit, with the sun peeking through clouds. It was as if the skies knew of the child that was to be born, and that it would begin such a fragile existence, thus subsiding the harshness of the cold. The Royal Physician soon entrusted the tiny bundle of a child to his parents' arms, though he warned that the child would surely not live to see the next year; he was so weak and frail looking. Yet even with such a grim prediction, neither parent saw any reason to love their child any less. Thus, began the life of Farrin Evyn Nalios.

⇨ It was no lie that Farrin was a weak child, who spent more time bedridden than running about wildly, but he was a fighter. The doctor had to admit, he hadn't expected Farrin to live much more than a few months at the most, but it was indeed a welcoming sight to see the youngest Prince alive. Not in the best of health, but the life was clear in his honest eyes. As he spent more time confined to his room than anything, Farrin found that the most fun moments were when his siblings came to visit. Maёl would always have a never-ending supply of stories that would leave Farrin rapt in attention, and disappointed when his brother had to leave though he would always return later. When it wasn't Maёl, it was most certainly Natalia. The young princess would never hesitate to crawl into the large bed with him and snuggle in the covers while they looked through prettily drawn picture books, or as they got older, story books together. If one were to inquire who it was that Farrin trusted and felt more comfortable with, they'd find it was undoubtedly Natalia.

⇨ Growing older, Farrin soon became aware of some things. First off, he would never have the same aura his brother had and generated upon entering a room. Topping Natalia's skill in herbal remedies and healing would never happen either (not that he would ever want to top his lovely sister). But if anything, his mind would be strong; strong enough to make up for the strength his body lacked. His brother's grandness was something Farrin looked up to, but it also made him feel less than adequate. In a situation like this, the prince could have gone either way, dislike his brother for being what he couldn't be, or dislike himself for his lack of ability to do what everyone else could do. Simple enough to say, Farrin slipped into the latter. He could never be envious and hateful of his brother for he was so in awe of him. In fact, he was lucky to have been the second prince. He wouldn't have made a good King at all. No one would ever look up to him. But the amount of things he could do to make himself useful were minimal, save for one thing. That, was how Farrin became known as the Brilliant Prince at the young age of twelve. A mind for anything and everything, they'd say. The Prince was adept with any subject brought upon him. But... that was all he could do.

⇨ Things began to go wrong. Farrin had gained a tad more health throughout the years, and outdoor excursions were something he savored, though the doctors and servants would be left in a frantic state trying to locate him. As it was obvious, Farrin was no fool and he quickly became aware of the dissent and distrust that was slowly creeping into peoples' minds about Oriede. They whispered rumors that the neighboring nation wished to overtake Nalios and this was their beginning steps. The idea to mend the bond between the two nations was to marry the respective children of both Nalios and Oriede. To this, Farrin felt very doubtful and reluctant. It wasn't that he didn't wish to help his family, he'd do anything for them, but what would the Oriede Princess say and think when she saw the one she was to wed? She'd surely find him less than pleasing... But without a word, Farrin traveled with his siblings and their guard, to unite Nalios and Oriede. A simple enough plan, right?

⇨ But for such a simple plan, things couldn't have gone more wrong. The manor they'd traveled to was ambushed, and the chaos that ensued was pure destruction. When the first barrage fell, Farrin, despite the fear he felt, knew he had to something. Maёl and Natalia. If they died... He couldn't let that happen. If he had to do something drastic to save them, he would-- But any need for that was spared by the courageous and valiant Oriede Princess who stepped in to save both families. They couldn't let her sacrifice go to waste, so there was nothing to do but run. But Farrin hadn't made it far before he felt an unfamiliar sharp pain burning into his leg. The arrow embedded in his leg had torn through his clothing. Fumbling to pull it out, Farrin felt this was surely it for him. He wouldn't be able to get far like this. But before another similar thought could cross his mind, the Ranger Captain hoisted him over his shoulder and made their escape.

⇨ They were safe for the time being, but Farrin couldn't help the feeling that came over him. He was useless. If he hadn't been before, he was now, barely able to walk and keep up, though he was grateful for Natalia's first aid. He wasn't anything more than deadweight! His sister's quiet suggestion to go in search of the mages met with resistance, but not from Farrin. Did he have any right to voice his opinion, when he was nothing more than a burden? No. Thus, when all consented (reluctantly or not), they set off for their destination. It's in this way that Farrin became acquainted with the youngest Princess of Oriede. He found that spending time with her wasn't bad at all. In fact... it was quite nice... But for now, they head off in search of the mages in a strange place.

Just like he'd told himself, Farrin had resolutely kept his head up and his focus on the path before him despite the ill and fatigue constantly in the corners of his mind, wherever it was that he and Iveta were being taken. He'd noticed that Iveta had dozed off herself though, and for the young prince, if she could rest as much as possible, then that would be good. He wasn't even sure how they would be able to escape, especially since they'd yet to reach their destination. It would all depend on that, and actually, the thought was more than just a little nerve-wracking. Sure, Farrin had had his share of little quick-thinking scenarios to play out, it was like a chess game; but a game and real life while perhaps theoretically similar, were entirely different on a person's nerves. This whole ordeal hadn't been expected in the slightest after all.

The general and usual rustle and din of a town and life soon came into hearing, and giving his companion a quick glance, Farrin found Iveta had just woken up. As the three men proceeded to do whatever it was that bandits and thieves did, they let both his mount come to a rest adjacent to Iveta's. She nodded over to some people, before asking a question, and Farrin followed her gaze quietly. There were people moving left and right, some spared a glance, others ignored them completely, and still others held their gaze just a little longer. Their expressions ranged from mild curiosity to disinterest to pity. But of course, when said person realized that Farrin was trying to be acknowledge, they quickly looked away, quickening their pace. Feeling his heart sink just a little, though it wasn't necessarily like he'd expected any help in the first place, Farrin finally nodded the slightest bit. "It may be very common, they do not seem surprised... I don't feel we can rely on these people for help... But I will get us free soon."

Without warning, the men returned to their two prisoners, one of them grabbing the reins of Farrin's horse with a rough tug. Trying not to lose his already precarious balance from that height, Farrin made sure to take note of anything about the buildings and main road that he could when it came time to run. And his leg? He would think of a way to overcome that little problem when the time came for it. Giving another look to Iveta to make sure she was alright still, the men led them down a more crowded street, though Farrin saw that the buildings themselves looked less pristine than the ones from the main road had. Trying futiley to wriggle the ropes around his wrists loose, Farrin felt that if he didn't think of something soon, the end result for both he and Iveta would be very unpleasant. He was getting another bad feeling as well, one on top of the general unwell he was feeling.

And just as he'd begun to think of it, he could see his suspicions being confirmed. Now, back in Nalios, and Farrin was sure the same for Oriede, things such as slave-trading, or even the general trading of humans like they were objects was illegal. Farrin knew as well that his father was quite strict upon those such matters, and thus those types of black-markets were virtually nigh within Nalios. This place was obviously the very opposite, and there seemed to be a corner portion of a road for such activities; very well out in the open. Farrin felt his quiet anger build, his back straightening with indignation, a hint of intimidation in his body language now. The mere fact that these men could think to just pick up two people as they had and then sell them as nothing more than objects was not only humiliating, but appalling. Not to mention, even the horses in Nalios were treated better than some of the people there looked. "Lady Iveta, I will free us soon,"

The men, looking quite happy with themselves at the prospect of a potential profit. Coming to take them off their mounts, Farrin bristled as the man helped him down, while saying something like he was sure the young prince would get a good price despite his wound and frail look. Pushing Farrin closer to Iveta, Farrin gave the men a silent glare as they tied an extra rope from his wrists to hers, just as a precaution so they wouldn't be able to escape well; not that they thought he'd be able to do anything. The man who'd taken his sword was then next to push them around, apparently wanting to get a good spot to display his wares while one of the three left to sell their other things. Trying to make himself as difficult as possible (which wasn't that hard really with his more pronounced limp), Farrin made sure to keep himself very close to Iveta. The man thread the rope through a little loop, 'conveniently' placed their for that very reason, standing a ways off then to attract customers. Trying to ignore the din of noise along with so many people so near by and mistreated, Farrin tried to wrack his mind for an idea, perhaps just a tad distressed with his inability. This was really it. He didn't want to make Iveta go through this any more than she had to, if he could only think of a way...

Another plan that Farrin could only see as crude had begun to piece together in his mind during the short time they stood there. Having to lean against the wall so he wouldn't fall over, Farrin tried to be as little bother to Iveta as he could finding his leg didn't want to listen to him again. It was only when the second man came up to his friend commenting cheerily that they had a buyer for Iveta that Farrin snapped his attention back to reality. How-- ... Ignoring the questions that sprouted, Farrin turned to Iveta, speaking to her in a hushed and hurried whisper. This was it. "I will get you away, please be ready for it..." Instantly turning silent when the two men came up to them to get Iveta, Farrin felt his heart pounding roughly in his chest, but acting as if he no longer wished to resist when they untied Iveta's ropes.

It was then, that Farrin doubled over, a harsh cough escaping him, looking all the while very much like an extremely ill person. The man with his sword looked quite surprised, telling him to straighten up as if he wasn't. Farrin didn't respond to the command though, sinking as low as the ropes he still had would allow him, another cough wracking his frame. Now really worried (though most likely not in a kindly way), the man came over to the prince, trying to get a look at his face. A final cough escaped him, and it was when the man finally knelt beside him that Farrin reached for the sword with his bound hands, swinging it upwards with all the force he could muster, snapping the rope of the loop in the process and causing the man to fall onto his back. The man tried to stand up, but despite the fact his hands were still tied, Farrin's grip wasn't weak; pointing it quite dangerously at the man, he swept past him, ignoring the pain in his leg and the feel of warm liquid trickling down it, adrenaline aiding him in his movements.

The man with Iveta was stunned, and that was all it took for Farrin to sweep the sword again coming unbelievably close, releasing the princess from his grip. "Run now.... ! Crowds... !" He breathed just barely, urging her to move before the men came to enough sense to return chase. In an actual fight with no element of surprise as his aid, he wouldn't be able to handle it. Making sure to snatch his brother's coat from one of the horses, Farrin tried his best to follow after Iveta, sure they were already being tailed.

Once upon a time,

________long, long ago...

God invited all the animals to a banquet, where he would choose each one to represent a year. It would be a very momentous occasion that required prompt arrival. Upon informing them of the time, he said "Do not be late!"

The Cat, who was good friends with the Rat said to him, "I'm going to take a nap, to be fresh and ready for the banquet. Wake me when it is time to go." Yet the Rat quickly realized that he would no doubt be at a disadvantage if his friend went. There was too much of a difference between them. Thus in his greed to win, when it came time to leave for the banquet, the Rat left the Cat sleeping and unaware of the trickery which had been committed. With cunning and a little help, the Rat rode atop the kindly Ox to the banquet. Leaping off the Ox just as they arrived, the Rat was able to gain the first position in the Zodiac. One by one, after him, the other animals arrived. When it seemed as though all were gathered, the banquet and feast began.

The Cat slept, content in dreams and unknowing of the deception...

When the Cat finally awoke, the banquet and festivities had ended. The positions of the Zodiac had been chosen, and any chance that he would have the honor was lost. Along with it, the Rat had forfeited his friendship with the Cat and a bitter feud took the place of once tight and seemingly unbreakable bonds.

------------------------------

The Sohma family is no stranger to this tale, for there have always been thirteen members cursed with the spirit of one of the Chinese Zodiac and the betrayed Cat. A strange and cruel curse, it has plagued the family for generations. 'Descendants' of those creatures, some say this was the punishment placed upon them for the treachery the Rat had committed against the Cat. For how easily the bonds of friendship had been severed. Upon coming in contact with one of the opposite gender, the cursed one would change into the form of their angered Zodiac counterpart. It was a fate that separated these select few with a distance that spanned a great distance, and an even greater time. Long ago, had any thoughts of freedom and cure been diminished. After all, with such a barrier, they were outsiders in even their own world. Shying away from others and family itself, an air of mystery and intrigue surrounded these people, yet none could have ever fathomed the truth behind it all. With broken souls, they went about their lives, any hope of deliverance faded and worn.

This is how it is, and always will be...

Yet, despite the odds, a ray of light entered their lives; a strange sight and even stranger feeling. A girl, through, unknowing of what it was that she was getting herself into, slowly delved into the lives of these cursed humans. With a strong and kind heart, not even the sight of these transformations, or knowledge of the horrors and sadness they'd lived warded off. Instead, she grew more determined to help these people, whom had helped her and she considered precious friends. By showing a great love for the one whom no one loved, to the one who'd been rejected and looked down upon, the unthinkable happened. The curse was broken, and the family was finally free of the curse that had plagued them and shrouded them in darkness for so long.

The God watched this all from above, and he was indeed pleased with the courage and love displayed. Despite all the obstacles, the power of the bonds had persevered through all that they'd been subject to.

But...

The God had to be sure. Were there really those who would love, no matter their appearance or form or what these affections entailed? He had not forgotten the close friendship who's threads had been cut so easily, and without hesitation. How friendship had taken second place to something else. Thus, he once more sent the same curse upon thirteen members of the Sohma family. Yet this time, there was an added twist, a grander test... What if... Something more than just a change of appearance occurred? What if... when in contact with the opposite gender, the cursed one would also delve into the mind of their respective animal, sink into the animal's instincts... it's true nature? Would one be able to show love when all was laid bare to see? Could a bond that withstands all truly be formed?

"An invisible red thread connects those who are destined to meet,
regardless of time, place, or circumstance.
The thread may stretch or tangle,
but it will never break."

This was it. A thread of fate. All had one, but these people succumbed and lost to their sorrows had lost it. It was time to find it again. That which would never break, never falter.

A thread tied with fate.
Each and every single person has a secret. Something hidden deep within the core of their very selves, that they just can't accept or won't admit to.

Fears, doubts, thoughts, whatever it is, most humans tend to deal with this secret in the most easy yet weakest way possible. They ignore it; they cover it up, for just as there are people who keep secrets, there are those who want them laid bare, open for all to see. To avoid such a situation, people push away their very truth, deny it, and pretend it never ever existed. Compared to the task of facing and admitting to these things, pretending it is not true is much more easier. But despite this all, it does come with a price. The pureness of one's heart is tainted by the deceit people play on their very selves, and if left unchecked, it will grow and take stronger root than before. The heart yearns to be as honest as possible, but stifled it can do nothing. Most people can generally live their lives as such, without ever having to face their truths, content with their facades, whatever they may be.

Everyone has a mirror reflection of their truth within, but while the reflections of harried hearts are known as MARIONETTES, the ones of those who have come to accept themselves as they are are coined PERSONAS. Puppets of the heart, Marionettes are the repressed truth, made of anger, loss, darkness, and resentment to those who suppress them. They wish to be heard and acknowledged, and slowly but steadily take over the will of their owners, shifting and changing thoughts to accomplish their wish. In this state humans are controlled by the darkness of their Marionette, and lest they find a way to strengthen themselves against the weakness in their hearts and face up to their truth, then their shadowed selves will continue to consume their being until they reach something with finality; death.

In contrast though, Personas are reflections of those who have found the strength to face their most formidable opponent, and accept it instead of fight it and deny it. It grants powers, just as Marionettes do, but in place of doubts and regrets, it is a reflection fueled by entirely different things; hope, courage. Once awakened, they allow for abilities a dormant heart would never have, such as the ability to cross into the world of 'Hearts', the Mirror Realm. But be it a warning, for just as Marionettes and Personas are reflections of a person, they are also similar to each other. Just as easily, can a Marionette become a Persona and vice versa.

All it takes though, is a strong unwavering heart to avoid such a fate.

Kagami;

_____ A rural town away from the majority of technological advances of modern Tokyo. With such a small population, it's really no surprise that everyone knows one another. Being such a tiny place, the town is relatively unknown as well, though their tourism is quite well off despite it's anonymity. It's main forms of attractions are it's store Espejo, Kagami Station, a main connecting hub, it's warm beach, and last but not least, the Carnival, to gather tourists. That, and ... the strange things that have been rumored to have happened on occasion in the quaint town.

Deaths and murders, ghosts and hauntings they say...

Some have said this is because the town is located in an ideal spot for paranormal activity. A spot most in tune with the otherworldly...

As of late, these 'paranormal activities' have been bringing more attention and rumors to Kagami, and slowly, an underlying layer of suspicion and doubt has settled into it's inhabitants daily lives. Is the town truly haunted? Of course, some people dismiss these speculations entirely; murders, crimes... these are things that happen anywhere. But not even that sort of logic nor science can explain the state of bodies when they're found. Whether it's a ghost, tortured spirit, or simply plain human means, there is no doubt there is a mystery brewing.

And whether they like it or not, some teens will unknowingly end up tangled in the threads of this mess. But it depends on them, whether their 'strings' have a will, or if they become nothing more than marionettes.

You've been friends with MOON from a young age as you actually live beside her, and your bond with her is tight. She is the one that keeps your wild and fiery spirit in line, while you add a little fire and spice to her day. You're friendly rivals with the CHARIOT, and you and he relish a competition like no other. Along with the DEVIL, you three are on one of the school's most competitive males. You're somewhat intrigued by the new transfer student, the FOOL, but you haven't spoken much to him. And even with all these bonds, you are unaware of the truth behind the murders and because of this, you could go either way. It all depends on who reaches you first...

the CHARIOT_____
willful, determined, reckless, courageous, armored, self-doubtful,

You are the armored warrior, the CHARIOT! You are courageous, determined, and above all, willful. You have a will that clearly displays your ability to continue and press forth despite any and all circumstances. You have a determination that is unwavering and patient. You aren't one to give up quickly. Bold, you've got a powerful energy that makes others feel glad of your support. And truly, your 'armor' is strong and can withstand many obstacles, thus the reason for you being a tad reckless. Unfortunately though, all armor has a weak point. It's not that you think you're invincible, but you've yet to face a challenge where you're strong personality was tested to it's true limits. Underneath the armor, you are a little doubtful of yourself, along with the fact that you can't see to find the proper way to say what you truly feel, due to some family relations. It's like a battle inside, where your feelings are mixed and confusing, but you won't let that show! You're a relatively amiable person, considerate, and more clever and quick-witted than one would think. After all, you're not just about running head first into situations, right? Even so, the CHARIOT, no matter what the obstacle, must continue onwards at full throttle.

You're best friend since you two first started school has always been THE DEVIL. You've got a tight bond and friendship with him, and you always used to do things together, but recently...? Ever since you weren't in the same classes, you've seen less of him. You're still on a sports team with him together though, so you still hang out with him. Is he different...? Moving on, you're pretty good friends with Strength, as she's an athletic type too. And the FOOL? He's pretty cool, a new comer. You've already taken a liking to him. The SUN is another athlete-in-arms, but you're more competitive with him. All in good fun though. Promise.

the MOON_____
emotional, ambitious, sensitive, refined, self centered, pessimistic, childish
One look at you, and one will see a picture of refinement, because that's exactly what you are. There is no denying the elegant manner in which you present yourself, nor the ways in which you practically go about life and the decisions that need to be made. You are a calm being, with a coolness that serves well with your patience and kind nature when it comes to interacting with others. You are the type to connect with people's feelings, as you are sensitive and not afraid to show your own emotions either. On the down side though, you can be quite childish as you've been spoiled all your life and pessimistic at times. You dislike not having people follow your 'orders', and there are times when your focus tends to be .. just you! Beneath the calm surface, you are bitter, and used to getting what you want.

You've been good friends with SUN since you were little children, and that hasn't changed as the two of you grew up. Good friends, you're like the ying and yang together, balancing each other out. You're friends with the WHEEL OF FORTUNE, as well as just a tad interested in her step-brother the FOOL! A city boy, hm. You too, have no idea of the underground battle which has begun in the sleepy little town in which you live in, and just like SUN you could go either way.

the DEVIL_____
          wild, haughty, controlling, uncaring, blunt

Look at you, the DEVIL! You are a tempter, and not at all fazed or hesitant when it comes to coaxing others to do things for or with you. You somewhat relish making people follow you like a charmer, and you certainly have a way with words that make this little hobby quite a lot more easy. In fact, while you'd never admit it in front of a teacher, you are indeed the reason for half the pranks done in school, not to mention it's not as though anyone has any solid evidence and no one can prove it was you. But despite the careless attitude you put on, you do have quite a bit of controlling personality, and you do like things being and going exactly as planned. For this reason, people are a little iffy about you, though again, you couldn't car less what they think about you. Others look up to you like an idol, for you have good looks and the like, but they know better than to get too involved with you lest they fall pray to your tempting ways.

There are only two people whom you truly deem as companions; the CHARIOT and the HANGED MAN. The CHARIOT is someone you feel you can relate to family-wise, and the two of you have been best buds since elementary, though as of late, the amount of time you've had to hang out with him has lessened what with being in different class sections and the Marionette League, but at least you've still got sports together! You do act different around him. Only him, and the HANGEDMAN, for some reason, doesn't seem fazed by your antics, and while he's a pushover, he's not that bad to be around. At least he listens. STRENGTH annoys the heck out of you; who does she think she is, hanging around CHARIOT so much, and acting like she can play sports? Should the opportunity arise, you'd love to grind her into the dirt.

the TOWER_____
humble, gentle, secretive, deceiving, distant, resentful, angry

Some people would consider you a lucky person; you've got all you want and ever needed! Of course, those idiots are ignorant to the truth, because despite the composure with which you act, nothing could be more further from the truth then that you are living contentedly. You yourself refuse to believe that all you had could've slipped away so simply, and though you hide it well, you've got a strong resentment at the cause of your misfortune. Even with your gentle and kind personality, you're angry over it too, yet your facade is the greatest of them all, and without it, your already weak and crumbling TOWER would have long since shattered to fine dust. But that's alright; no one knows the truth of how you feel, and you don't intend to enlighten them anyways. It's your business and no one else's. A deceiver, you and your chaotic state are perhaps the most dark and dangerous of all the Marionettes, as your intentions are clear. If your tower will crumble, then the least you can do is make sure others experience the same.

While the EMPRESS considers herself something of a leader, in actuality, you're the right hand of sorts, the one working in the shadows. You a little more manipulative then you let on, and you've got quite the mind to concoct little plans. You don't think too much of the other members of the Marionette League, save for the STAR, who seems to be one of the few people that you see no harm in being around. Another somewhat interesting person is MOON, but she's always hanging around SUN. And as for the FOOL? He's annoying, plain and simple. How lovely would it be to shake up his smooth way of life.

Kagami; A rural town away from the majority of technological advances of modern Tokyo. With such a small population, it's really no surprise that everyone knows one another. Being such a tiny place, the town is relatively unknown as well, though their tourism is quite well off despite it's anonymity. With their grand department store Espejo, Kagami Station, a main connecting hub, it's warm beach, and last but not least, the Carnival, to attract tourists. That, and ... the strange things that happened on occasion in the quaint town.

Some have said this is because the town is located in an ideal spot for paranormal activity...

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

'Listen! I've heard some people say if you peel an apple at exactly midnight in front of a mirror, you can see the figure of your soul mate as your reflection.'

The words are spoken by a young girl, a cheery look on her face as she attempts to get the older teen in the vehicle to warm up. The teen looks to his step-sister, giving her a little grin. What a strange rumor. But the words serve their purpose, and any deeper meaning is promptly ignored. The town is peaceful enough, and the first impression given seems well off.

For now.

the (FOOL) recently transferred to Mizu-Kagami, new to the town where his father and step-sister the (WHEEL OF FORTUNE) live. It was different from the buzzing life of Tokyo, but he'd have to get used to it. He'd been sent by his mother to live with his father for the time being due to work. His father was a man who he hadn't seen since he was small though, and who'd left his mother, returning to his hometown in the rural outskirts of Tokyo. Doubts and mixed feelings welled up, as the teen wondered how his life would turn out in a relatively boring place like this with no one familiar to turn to.

As newcomers were few and far between, he was welcome relatively warmly. His first day, and he'd already acquired some companions; (STRENGTH) and the (CHARIOT). Eager to show him about, they offered the (FOOL) a tour of their tiny town. From one locale to the next, their final destination was one of the more frequented places. The Carnival. After all, with (STRENGTH) who could get access to it for virtually free thanks to her parents' work, why not? Here, they enjoyed the sunny fall day, eventually ending their fun with The Carnival's most intriguing attraction. The House of Mirrors. Out of sheer conversational topics, the (FOOL) mentioned his step-sisters' story, and before the three of them knew it, a dare had been placed. They'd return, and try this little rumor out in the most famous of mirror houses.

Thus, in the dark of the night, they clambered over The Carnival's decorative gates, and slipped into the House of Mirrors, ready to prove the rumor as nothing more than frighteningly amusing words. Standing in the center of the maze of glass, the walls depicted their reflections, from every angle imaginable. Almost as if it was showing them all the aspects of themselves, in the darkness broken only by the ray of a flashlight. There was one mirror though, that did not show what one would have thought... The face the mirror reflected in the dim light was pale and hazy, but visible nonetheless.

It was also no one familiar. They had not expected this.

Something was calling. The voices, from their reflections...? Unable to contain their fears any longer, the trio scattered into the mist of the night, only to meet again in the morning at school. The events of the previous night were overshadowed by the school's latest key topic of interest. A corpse had been found ealier as the mist cleared on the beach. A student at their very school had been found dead. With murmured and hushed whispers, there soon grew to be no doubt that it had been the same individual from the mirror. It couldn't be a mere coincidence.

--------------------------------------------------------------------

And thus began the trio's involvement with a mystery that was deceivingly complicated in comparison to the sleepy town it was taking place in. There was an urgency to it all, a tight and taut tension, hidden beneath. Missing people, deaths, and rumors of hauntings had begun to escalate. the (FOOL) had not forgotten the calling voice of the mirror that night, and curiosity was too much to bear. Like this, the (FOOL), along with the (CHARIOT) and (STRENGTH) delved into a surprising parallel world. They soon found that the rumor, while baseless in the finding of a soulmate, was not completely untrue. The voices that had called out from the reflections, were calling to them, for help almost. It was a sign, and with it, they were able to prevent another death. (TEMPERANCE) was grateful, for she had nearly come to the same fate as the previous victims and joined the group.

But there had to obviously be a culprit, and little did they know, they weren't the only ones aware of the Mirror Realm. The (EMPRESS) was the instigator, along with the underhanded help of the (TOWER) and the rest of their companions. Their wish was to bring about more marionettes. People were weak, this was their fate.

A battle is about to ensue.

Mildly, the quiet male proceeded to slip the shirt he had over his head, pushing away stray strands of hair from his face. Draining the last sweet droplets from the can of soda he'd opened, Yuuta searched for a garbage can, eventually locating one and tossing the now empty container in. It seemed like it'd been settled. Leave the room and do whatever for a while, at the very least, until this whole business with the incident at Harajuku died down just a little more. Then again, for them, those people who'd not only witnessed the scene, but were involved it, having it blow over was a task made more difficult.

As Hideo flipped his phone open, Yuuta gave a quick look over, making sure he carried all the 'essentials'. Once sure he had everything (though his cell and wallet were always with him), and that he wouldn't be locked out from their room if he were to potentially get separated from the others, Yuuta followed after Hideo and Daichi, yet again the last to leave. Shutting the door carefully, making sure it was locked as well, he continued after the two ahead as they made their way through the silent hall. It was probably the situation they were in, but the eerie quiet of the hall was more than enough to make one think that upon turning the next corner something would jump out at them, whether that was a teacher or what, who knew.

Eventually, Hideo made to alleviate the silence, again pulling out his cell as he spoke.

"Okay, let's go out to eat--"

Not really having expected anyone to come through the halls, not to mention, in the manner in which this particular person did, Yuuta was more than a little surprised when Aiko's loud voice echoed in the hall. " ... W-wha... ?!" The boy breathed out in surprise at the feel of a light weight clinging at his shoulders from behind, stumbling a step awkwardly. "SURPRISE!" Glancing over, as if to make certain of who it was (though the voice gave it away), he was aware of a soft heat and hue which had begun to creep up his face. Aiko really was something else, so loud and exuberant; enough so she wouldn't hesitate to leap and cling to him, something only his sister had ever done. He wasn't used to it, and...

Straightening himself, so he wouldn't lose his balance Yuuta quickly composed himself, taking care though to make sure Aiko didn't fall. "Aiko-san ... " Glancing in the direction the petite girl had come from, he saw that she was not alone. It also seemed that Aiko and Isuma had had similar ideas on what to do for the evening, though if the for the same reason, he couldn't be sure. He wondered if they knew of the events and whispered words going around, about the teachers and their interrogation bouts they were planning. As it was, both girls were involved with that situation as well. On one hand, them gathering together could be a good thing. Safety in numbers (though again, they weren't delinquents!!), but on the other... as a group it would not be difficult for a teacher to 'catch' them all, would it? Returning focus to the present, it seemed that Yuuta was not the only one who'd been just a little startled by Aiko's sudden outburst.

"So, erm, Aiko, how are you doing? What are you doing here on this fine evening?"

"Well, Isuma and I heard rumors that interrogations were going to take place. Plus, we were bored in our rooms!"

Quietly, Yuuta listened to the banter, feeling that the two before him seemed to speak in something of a similar manner. Eventually, they satisfied their little 'argument', with Hideo looking for an answer on where they intended to go now. There were two more additions to their little group it looked, but that was fine. Aiko and Isuma were in the know as well, despite his initial wondering. Of course, that was something that wouldn't be surprising when it came to teens. Rumors spread fast. Neither girl seemed too perturbed by this knowledge, though if they were hiding it or truly didn't min, Yuuta wasn't too sure. Well... it was probably for the better. Showing negativity or doubts would be a quick way to ruin any nice atmosphere for sure.

      "... Didn't you say to eat? Let's go find a place ... "

The expression on his was still the same; light and teasing almost, a look not uncommon to Joker's face. While they said said that these plain humans were less advanced, their technology was quite interesting. The underground train rushed by with an almost startling thundering sound. Fortunately, Joker found he was becoming accustomed to it; at least he didn't jump like he had when he'd first seen one. Letting the others, who hadn't seen things like this before, Joker stood next to his three charges, an ever amused expression present, watching as another train passed, slowing and stopping not too far away. This place was truly full of fun and interesting things wasn't it...?

But of course, the reason he was here wasn't just for fun. That little tidbit of information presented itself when a earnest girl who'd been standing next to their little group little group caught his gaze. She looked at them as if they stuck out in the crowd, and like she wanted to ask the reason why; the curiosity was obvious on her face. Aerth's clothing was different enough from Earth's to make them look at least a little strange so it would have inevitably happened anyways. Yet while Joker may have had the same almost carefree look, it was a whole different matter inwardly. He didn't like it. If he could have really helped it, he would've rathered that the girl, while probably meaning well, not try to engage in conversation with them. It was hard enough as it was, with these different curses and having to keep them secret. On the other hand though, it was a challenge, wasn't it? It at least made things sound more fun. If something were to happen though, it probably wouldn't be so fun... There were a lot of people who could see.

"You guys don't look like you're from around here, where are you from?"

The question was directed at Pinocchio and Joker blinked, the only action that potentially revealed he did not find the question to be a good one and that he wasn't as careless as he may have looked. Thinking it through, the outcomes for Pinocchio answering were going to be 'bad' either way. Lie and it would activate his curse, tell the truth and ... well... telling the truth just wasn't an option. It would probably seem like a far-fetched story as well, but it was best not to take changes. He was these princes' guardian after all, so he had to do his job.

Acting smoothly, Joker put a hand around Pinocchio delicately, covering his mouth carefully to make sure any words would be too muffled to hear. Leaning over brashly, he then tugged him gently, taking his place. "Are you interested in him?" He grinned, proceeding in distracting the girl with a startlingly blunt question. But it made sense didn't it? If Pinocchio didn't have to answer, he wouldn't have to say the truth or lie and reveal the curse! "Are you?" He repeated, putting on an innocently curious face, grinning a few moments later again. "He's not available though, so, you can't have him," These words were accompanied with a fond pat. "Want me instead?"

Without missing a beat, Joker grinned again, giving the girl a little look, before ushering his group along into the train. It was somewhat of a flashy way to distract this human girl's attention, but it worked quite well, didn't it?

With practiced expertise, Justice cleaned his weapon, turning it in one hand, letting the silvery metal of it reflect gently in the light. The shine was so pure, one wouldn't think it had ever been covered in the sickly sweet ruby of blood. Eventually satisfied with his work, he carefully set it away, handling it like a precious treasure. He leaned back in his spot, the neutral expression on his face devoid of any reaction or emotion when two soldiers passed by. They both glanced at him, murmuring words to each other as they walked passed. Despite what they considered to be 'whispers', Justice could easily catch the gist of what they were talking about. The words didn't faze him. He knew there were those that didn't exactly think highly of him, especially because it was clear that his loyalties were not exactly for Deseia, but that was too bad for them. This was a war, and in a war you took the allies you could to win. As for him? Justice wouldn't deny his allegiance was for Deseia was less than minimal, but he cared about the same for Lirick. They were just two countries fighting and killing, with innocent people stuck in between dying like it was all nothing. It was a cruel reality, but then again, Justice wasn't exactly guiltless when it came to this either. He was a part of it wasn't he, and his reason could even be considered pitiful. There was no getting attached to people, because in a war they could be gone the very next day. The only thing that won't die no matter how you slice at it or stab it is money. There was always more of it, equally as cold as he.
