I'm not really here: Artemyes
Well where should I start: I was thinking of making Ren the type of guy that is pretty determined and hard-working, but not really hot-headed. More like, he's a dreamer, and maybe an idealist. I'm sort of debating about his parents, and whether or not it'll be something like they were in Ansei when the incident occurred and they were turned into monsters for one reason or another, or something else...? I want him to be a real super softie when it comes to the Kikui though they argue and he doesn't like to admit he's wrong as well. I imagine him as the type to try his best to please the Asukai as well.
At your service: I'm on basically every day, for at least three hours or so. I'm pretty sure I can post twice a week, or more, depending on if I have anything to do in real life and things like that.
OMG! A rainbow: Maybe... Dodger blue 4, Dark Slate Blue, or Steel Blue 4.

        Yes.

        Yes!

The beginnings of a delighted smile hinted at the boy's face, and he could feel his heart thumping in excitement within his chest, yet he managed to keep his composure. He'd just gained permission from one of the most excellent swordsmen in Irilia to train under him, and the last thing he wanted to do was look foolish and unworthy of this unbelievable opportunity. With another quick and formal thanks, Ren walked off, resisting the urge to topple to the ground in relief. Or, perhaps it was better to say, he was resisting the urge to run around and burn off the excess energy that had accumulated upon having heard those golden words.

Huffing out a slow deep breath, Ren paused for a moment, running over the conversation that had occurred less than three minutes ago with Asukai. ... There would be no room for slacking, right? Of course. This would bring him one step closer to finding his parents. After all, Ren debated mentally, if he became as good a swordsman as his Master Asukai, then surely he could find his parents. But for now, he'd go tell his grandparents, and Kikui. He hadn't seen her since this morning when she'd wished him luck. Where had she gotten off to...? But really... The grin that he'd been holding back spread on his features.

        One step closer.

NAME Nakae Sawa.

NICKNAME
S - Taken from the first letter of his name, it's just a plain and simple nickname given to Sawa to him by his friend Hisato.

Nakae - His last name, simple as that. Sawa was generally addressed as such when at the Academy, with either -san or -kun.

Sa-chan - His sister Amaya's nickname for Sawa, pretty cute sounding.

Dragon - This was Sawa's ... code name, coined by some of his classmates at Sora Academy. He moves like a dragon would in the sky, or something along those lines. How silly.

AGE Sixteen years old.

GENDER Male

NATIONALITY Japanese.

RACE A plain human, surrounded by robotic girls...

PIXELS
Sawa's hair is a dark bluish color, and more lengthy on the right side compared to the left. It's usually styled in an interesting way, since the lengthier side is messier. His eyes are a soulful and soft blue, glittering with intelligence and that spark of intrigue, but no more revealing than that. Once upon a time, Sawa's eyes were truly the window to his soul, but now it's more difficult to find out what he's thinking. His slim face has an elegant look about it, and his nose and chin are sharply defined, making him look all the more determined.

He has a slim and fit body, though maybe a tad underweight. He's nimble and quick with his fingers, allowing him to work easily with nuts and bolts or whatever else is needed. He's athletic yes, and his muscles are defined lightly, though he can be quite deceiving at a first glance when it comes to strength. Sawa is slightly above average height for his age, though it fits attractively with the headstrong posture and body he has.

Clothing wise, Sawa is really not picky, and he'll wear whatever. He's prone to wearing his school uniform more often than not though, which consists of a dark pants, a white shirt and a blue-black coat. One can always find both of his weapons hanging on his belt and always at his side without a doubt.

VIRTUAL MASK

            level headed

If there's one dominant aspect of Sawa's personality, it's his level-headedness. He is not the type to get riled up or agitated easily, and in fact, it's quite difficult. Sawa seems to be quite fit to take on the role of a pilot, for he is able to keep cool under dire situations, thus allowing him to thinking clearly for the next best course of action. In this same way, he is also very open to different ideas and different views or perspectives. It's quite truly what made him such an adept student at the Academy. On the other hand though, it may also be something of a liability. Why? Well, given the proper argument, or at the very least a convincing talk, Sawa could likely be swayed in his opinions. Not all his opinions and beliefs of course for their are cores that cannot be moved, but it's enough to say that he doesn't limit himself to only one train of thought. There are, after all different perspectives of all that occurs in the world.

            determined

If Sawa says he'll do something, one can be sure he'll pull through with it or collapse trying. It's a part of his personality that lay dormant when he was small, for he has always been somewhat of a pushover. If someone would have spoke to him when he was smaller, and told him to give up, he surely would have done that without a qualm. But now, Sawa refuses. He told himself he won't cry, told himself he'd learn to fly a plane, to use a gun... He has a strong sense of willingness, but at times it can be a little too much. He is the type that will wear himself out, before realizing perhaps a break or rest is in order. But even so, he has a strong heart and he won't give in to things easily. He won't. The boy is a fierce, almost blindly loyal person, and he'll do whatever it takes to see his cared ones happy or content.

            anti-social

If Sawa seems introverted, it's best not to take it to heart. Ever since the incident when he was thrown into the river, save for Hisato and family, Sawa chooses to keep to himself. While it was quite a while ago, he still recalls the fear that engulfed him just like the water closed in around him, and he's come to think that it's better to stay a distance away from others, lest you wish something to happen to you. That's usually how it works, isn't it? People can only hurt if they interact.

He's also not the most optimistic. It's not like he tries to be negative or anything though! Instead, Sawa just tries to think logically and down to earth, the worst-case scenario (there's always a chance of it), though sometimes he's perhaps too blunt and his way of saying things make it seems as though there really is no hope. He's not the type to get his hopes up on anything to quickly either, because it hurts when they're crushed.

            Withdrawn

Anyone can see that Sawa is indeed withdrawn. He tends to keep his personal worries and doubts to himself, though he's quite aware that that does nothing good for him. Still, that is how he acts, and even when it comes to reactions to things, one can see they're somewhat subdued at times. Not that Sawa doesn't have feelings of course! They're all just bottled up tightly inside so no one can see or get to them. He's secretive though, because he wishes to keep those he cares about out of problems and misfortunes. He can also see quite adult-like and grown up, though he's only sixteen. Unfortunately, Sawa has something of a stiff and serious demeanor, and it takes a bit to make him lighten up. He's taken on a distant mask, keeping to himself more than interacting. In a way, it's his most robotic aspect. He is very polite and has an aura of coolness around him.

            Intelligent

Sawa has always been intelligent, but consequently too shy and introverted for any real praise for it. It's quite clear though, that he's got a sharp mind and quick thinking as well. If he puts his mind to it, it's not too difficult for Sawa to learn things, and he can catch on very well, thus making him a great asset when it comes to working with new objects or people. He feels that sometimes, keeping quiet is the best way to act, as one never knows what they'll be able to find out or learn. He's quick to adapt to situations and his sharp and young mind is definitely a big help. Sawa definitely doesn't consider himself a strategist, but yes, he can put his mind to devising a plan or course of action quite readily.

            тнє ѕтαят

The second of three children, Sawa was a delicate looking boy, and it was quite common to find him with tears trickling from his softly hued eyes. It was not a difficult task to make him cry, something his parents, especially his father wondered about. He was a boy! A man! Men didn't cry. Or if they did, not like Sawa did. The slightest thing could start the rain of tears, and it didn't help that the tiny boy was teased and bullied often, not to mention quite clumsy, tripping over carpets or the smallest things that lay on the ground. Interestingly enough though, Sawa was prone to chasing after his older brother Ichiro like a puppy, even if his brother himself was the one smacking him, ordering him around, or telling him frightful tales just to scare him. Ichiro's reasoning for such actions was that he was trying to 'man' his wimpy brother up; not that it really worked. The same went for Sawa's father, who could always expect to be greeted by his smallest son as he returned from work. From there, he dive into a play wrestle with the boy, though the battles were short and the winner was the same each time. Then, when Sawa gave up like he usually did with a teary voice as he was pinned down to the floor with his face on the ground, his father would comfort him and it'd all be better.

Having taken note of this, Sawa's mother --whom truly did enjoy her son's company but wished for him to become assertive as well-- decided that instead of letting her tiny boy spend the day at home, he should go out to play with his brother. It was something Sawa had never thought of doing. He'd grown accustomed to watching Ichiro head outdoors after school, and staying home with his younger sister Amaya seemed so natural. But this time, being told to and then dragged along anyways Sawa went. He discovered that his brother and his friends had formed a little group; one that would spend the day running and messing around. Sawa was the youngest there, not to mention clumsy enough that his brother 'assigned' his trusted and best friend Hisato, now the second youngest, to watch over him like a guard. The others in the group were reluctant at first to let Sawa join, but soon grew used to the idea of having him tag along. They didn't have watch over him like Hisato did, and poking fun at him added to their amusement, so it was a win-win situation. Thus began Sawa's series of explorations with his brother's friends. Though he lagged behind and tripped over rocks and whatnot constantly, Sawa persisted in following after his brother's confident figure. Whenever they encountered a fight (which their group of boys tended to do so with others), Sawa was always kept safe by both Hisato and Ichiro, so he generally returned home unscathed save for the cuts and scratches he brought upon himself when tripping. While he wasn't exactly open about it, Ichiro was truly protective, something that made Sawa all the more in awe of his brother who quite truly had to be his hero.

            found тнє key

Perhaps the most key point, leading up to the interest the Emperor of Japan would have for him, occurred thanks to what seemed like a trivial thing. Once, Sawa's family had taken them out for a festival held deep in the city. It was a grand sight and enthralling, but the crowds were thick and it was easy to get lost. It figures that this would happen to Sawa; he got separated from Amaya and Ichiro (who'd been holding his hands, feeling if they didn't, he'd get lost), and he had no idea where to go. He wandered around for a bit, looking for Ichiro, looking for Amayam but when it was obvious he wasn't getting close to finding them, Sawa sat down by a building's wall, his eyes tearing up as he huddled there alone, crowds of people passing him by without a second glance. Almost about to cry, he was 'rescued' by unbelievably unlikely people! It was the young heir to Japan's throne and his younger sibling, who'd escaped outside to enjoy the festivities. 'Are you lost?' He asked, offering a hand which Sawa took hesitantly, tiny fingers quivering. The two princes were kind and easy to get along with, and they even chatted kindly with him, distracting the little boy from his tears. Thankfully, it wasn't too long before his parents were located. It was a simple gesture, but something Sawa didn't ever forget. The unlikely people who'd helped him.

            the change

One day, their family was visited by some less-than-welcome people. They were soldiers, in search of more potential Mecha candidates. While Sawa and his younger sister weren't too sure what was going on, they both knew it was a tense situation. Their father and Ichiro volunteered to go, hoping that they'd leave with two, and no more. However, it wasn't that simple. One of the men had caught sight of Sawa and grabbed him by the wrist, asking his companion if they should take him as well. Feeling fear leap into his throat, Sawa tugged weakly, trying to free himself. He didn't want to go, and he didn't want Ichiro or his Papa to go either! He was saved by none other than Amaya. The girl had bravely wrapped her arms around her brother's shoulders, pulling on him. "You can't take him, you can't!" She said, cradling him protectively and refusing to let go. The soldiers merely looked at each other, before they released him. It didn't matter anyways, one look showed that even if that boy did have that special gene, he wouldn't make it through the first stages of the Mecha process, he looked so frail and weak.

The last thing Ichiro said to Sawa before leaving is now engraved in his mind. "Don't keep crying Sawa, man up!" He encouraged, seeing Sawa's wet eyes. But try as he might, the boy couldn't stop. Through choked sobs and with Amaya still clinging to him crying herself, he swore he would be waiting for his brother at the river where they usually met. At the words, Ichiro grinned softly and that was quite truly, the last Sawa saw of his brother. The next day, the tiny boy traveled to the calm place by the river just as if it were any other day. The other boys had gathered as well, though out of six there were only three. Much to Sawa's relief, Hisato hadn't been taken away but unfortunately, with the sudden lack of members, any energy usually felt was drained. Their gathering was short, but they agreed to meet again in a few days.

It was the next time that Sawa scrambled to the meeting-place in hopes of seeing his brother there, that signaled a change in him. Before, Sawa had never really had to worry about going face to face with another boy when a rare brawl broke out (usually over wanting to 'claim' the river side spot as a meeting place). But without Ichiro, he was quite literally defenseless. A fight broke out between the groups, and that was something Hisato and the others didn't think of until they caught sight of two of their 'opponents' prepared to launch Sawa into the river! Their attempts to rescue him in time didn't work out and Sawa was thrown in violently. Much to the rival group's surprise, they hadn't known that Sawa was less than adept at swimming. In a panic, they all dashed off when they saw the desperate splashing of water then a tinge of red; had he hit something sharp down there? For a moment it looked as if he'd really drowned, but he was eventually pulled out by a frantic Hisato. Soaked, and with tears mixing with the water that dripped from his hair, Hisato led Sawa home, to tend to the cut on his leg caused by a jagged rock that lay at the river's bed. Ichiro hadn't saved him. He wasn't here. The knowledge finally began sinking in, and it hurt deeply.

Yet even after that ordeal, Sawa continued traveling to that same place by the river, waiting for Ichiro with Hisato or another boy as his occasional company. His mother and sister could see something changing. While at first, Sawa had just poured out tears over not having neither Ichiro nor his father home, they soon found his bouts of sniffling and crying were lessening. Eventually, one day, while Sawa was staring out at the water in which he'd fallen into so long, the tears just... stopped. He'd cried for so long, his tears were probably enough to fill the river itself. But now he'd run out. At that moment, Sawa decided to follow through his brother's words. No more crying. That was all he did, wasn't it? Even Amaya had been stronger than he. With that thought, Sawa steeled himself. He wouldn't cry ever again. Of course, at first it was difficult, but Sawa persisted. And then, with time, his clumsiness faded, and so did the pure honesty that came with smiling when one wanted to, crying when one needed to. Along the way, Sawa's closest friend ended up being the Hisato; loyal and trustworthy as ever. With the older boy's help, Sawa eventually managed to acquire skills he'd failed to gain before. Crying was a thing of the past for sure, though he admittedly still went to the river's edge every now and then. Those who knew him were quite surprised with the change. Sawa had definitely 'manned' up.

But perhaps he'd grown up too much. From that point on, Sawa seemed to carry a neutral aloofness to all. In fact, if it weren't for his father miraculously returning a year or so later, then Sawa would probably have turned for the worse. At the sight of his father finally coming home, Sawa reverted slightly to his softer self. But he still waited for Ichiro. Without him, Sawa wasn't going back to how he was before.

            the flight

Being someone Sawa had confided in ever since Ichiro left, when Hisato mentioned the Sora Academy of Flight and his plans to enroll, the boy refused to be left behind. His family was very reluctant to let him go though, they'd already lost two of their family once, they couldn't take a third. Still, Sawa was not to be dissuaded, and even Amaya knew she couldn't keep him this time. Thus with Hisato, Sawa enrolled in the academy. Perhaps, if he did this, he'd find Ichiro one day. It was a task Sawa stoutly took upon himself, and he was quite pleased to find that he'd be bunking with Hisato, since he wasn't too good at making friends. Not that he really felt any need to, with Hisato and Amaya phoning him everyday. He wasn't lonely. Sawa's efforts weren't for naught, and he soon became one of the top students in his class. Flight and guns. His forte. It was going quite smoothly really.

One night though, as he was returning to his dorm, Sawa received a mysterious text. 'Come to the warehouse. Now. It's a matter of great importance.' Curious, but not wishing to disturb Hisato, Sawa left alone to the said locale. Much to his annoyance, there was no one in the building. It was empty! Was this some kind of trick, for freshman? Or was it those other students from his third class this morning, who seemed surprised about his high mark...? Feeling a shiver run up his spine, Sawa felt certain that his previous observation was incorrect. The place wasn't empty. There was something here. Taking a step back, a hand going to the pistol he carried, Sawa hadn't been expecting the feel of a solid object connecting with his head painfully. Staring at the flash of black lightning that was his vision dimming, his knees buckled and even before he'd dropped to the ground, Sawa was unconscious. His body went limp, his phone clattering to the ground along with his pistol...

Waking up what surely had to be hours later, Sawa groaned, wishing he was left alone. His head hurt, couldn't whoever tell...? Slowly coming to, his mind replayed all that had happened before he'd sunk into sweet darkness. This was not where he'd 'fallen asleep'. Snapping to attention, Sawa found two identical girls, prodding at his stomach, like he was a specimen, or particularly interesting toy. Sitting up rapidly, he gazed wearily at the group that seemed so interested in studying him, not forgetting to firmly tug his shirt back down. They were all females, but there was something different about them... A bit disbelieving, Sawa found all of them were Mecha. They were part human, part machine! What did they want with him? Standing up quite awake now, he demanded an explanation. What was going on? This was not the warehouse. It didn't take long for him to find out they were up in the sky. Carefully, he demanded of his captors to explain themselves. Forever cautious, Sawa was subject to his desired explanation, to which he couldn't resist a scoff. They wanted to take down the Emperor, and they thought HE could help? These girls must've had defects when they'd received their Mecha parts, were they crazy? Did they really like a guy like him along with a group of FOUR could take down the power that was the Emperor of Japan and his mecha army? But despite his negativity and flat out refusal at first, Sawa eventually had no choice but to succumb to what he found was Mecha x Heart's offer. They told him he had to help, lest he wish to be thrown straight out the aircraft's hatch. With an obvious reluctance, Sawa agreed, adapting to living on Mecha x Heart's airborne home. The different members seem to have a somewhat frightening interest in him, but it's not all bad...

Right...?

TRUE x STRENGTH

WEAPON Sawa's only weapons are pistols; two to be exact. One fires compressed air, and it's the more safer of the two. There's no doubt that any type of shot or bullet will hurt, but this gun's projectiles aren't enough to kill or seriously injure. Conversely, his other gun fires true bullets. These will surely cut through skin or even metal (not as well obviously), and they're more powerful and deadly than his first gun. His more frequently used one is always ready for quick and easy access. One has a silvery chain from the handle, and the other has an intricate braid of rope. One could consider it a way to differentiate the two weapons, but Sawa knows just by a touch. The two pistols are in top condition, with a sheen that speaks of good care.

ABILITIES At Sora Academy, Sawa was praised as being one of the top in his class when it came to the abilities necessary to pilot aircrafts. This is indeed true, and a skill that Sawa is inadvertently proud of. It doesn't matter whether it's even just an AIR vehicle or an LSA. Any type of craft, give him fifteen, thirty minutes, and Sawa'll have a good handle on it's controls and temperament. He seems to have a knack for swift and fluid maneuvering.

Though it was something that Amaya didn't exactly think was good for Sawa to learn, he still proceeded with learning how to wield a gun. There is no doubt too, that Sawa is very good at it. At the Academy he was taught how to use different types of weapons, ranging from simple pistols to rifles, to some of the more larger types (just taught, not tried mind you), and Sawa has absorbed all the information. He can use just about any type of gun handed to him, making him an excellent person to handle the gunnery.

Again, during his time at the Academy, Sawa managed to gain some basic repairing skills for machinery. Of course, he's only an amateur, so the mecha MASCOT is the best person to ask, but he can be of some help too! He's also a bit of a strategist as well, though this job too could probably be given to a more suited person like the mecha DATABASE.

DESIRE x HATE
xxxxxxxxxWe are interested in your...desires and hates. Please specify each like and dislike. You will not be judged on your specifications.

DESIRES
Coffee -- Mhm, nice and hot and with a lot of milk! It tastes soo good when it's cold outside, but his favorite type is the ones with different flavors, like hazelnut or vanilla.

Flying -- Up in the skies, it's absolutely wonderful. For some reason, it makes Sawa feel a lot more stronger, more in control, when he's commanding whatever he can get his hands on.

Machines -- Alright no, Sawa is not an expert engineer or whatever, but he does love to tinker with the engine and specs of the planes he commands. He considers his skill below amateur yet enjoys seeing how the different pieces work together. Electronics and mechanics are fun.

Calm -- When it's calm, the sky is nice. When it's calm, you can rest. You can think. Who doesn't like drifting off into their own world after all the hectic things that go on in the day?

Friends -- Friends are nice. Sawa isn't used to making them though, and for the longest time his only friend was Hisato. Hisato is the best! If there's one thing Sawa enjoys, it's actually talking about how great his friend is, much to Hisato's embarrassment. But yes, despite his lack of social skills, Sawa does enjoy the company of others.

Hero Stories -- Well, this is embarrassing, not to mention something that Sawa will never admit. But, thanks to Ichiro's constant story-telling when he was small, Sawa has taken a liking to those hero stories, where the main character goes against all odds to save the day. How childish! How unrealistic!! How stupid! ... They're nice.

HATE
Crying -- The one thing Sawa swore he'd never do again. He's kept to his promise, and it's quite truthfully, a little surprising. Not even when his father returned, did Sawa cry. He's come to hate crying, and he feels as though it's one of the most worst weaknesses to have.

Failure -- Failure is most definitely not an option for Sawa. It's unthinkable. He can't let himself fail anyone, and the mere thought is actually quite daunting.

Companion's getting hurt -- Though he may seem so aloof and uncaring, Sawa is fiercely protective of his companions/family. He won't stand for any sort of hurt that may come upon them. He won't. And if that means putting himself in danger to save them, then so be it.

Sour foods -- Bitter...! Sawa does not like them, though not necessarily for that reason. He likes the food itself, and he can handle the taste, but if it's too much...

Being underestimated -- While Sawa is most definitely not the type to show this, he doesn't like being underestimated. That means people think he is weak, and if he is weak he has to get stronger. It's a reminiscent of his past really, and Sawa doesn't ever want to be left behind or so weak every again.

OCCUPATION Sawa's occupations before he was... rudely yanked out of his usual routine was nothing more than a simple student at the Sora Academy of Flight and within that, an apprentice pilot. Because of this though, he does have his share of knowledge of aerial machinery including how to make basic/minor repairs but even more so, pilot them.

RIVAL
The AVERAGE soldier... He doesn't seem to know who he really is, but Sawa will do his best to return the knowledge, if he doesn't get killed by him first.

                  Hm?

Upon reaching his senpai's side, Seiji studied the older male, a particularly curious look upon his features. It seemed as though Kazuo had been lost in his thoughts, which the boy's greeting had just interrupted. Apparently, the older male had been standing at the mouth to Cipher's base, off in his own little world. Not that that was necessarily a bad thing. After all, this was Izanagi's debut match. For something as big as this, it was a good idea to think everything through, before going in. Rushing in without a second thought was quite likely to be a stupid thing to do. There was no need to worry about that with Kazuo though, for Seiji felt he knew what he was doing. Kazuo was his senpai for a reason, after all.

Gliding to smooth stop, the boy took note of Kazuo's smile. Realizing he was looking at the uniform he currently donned, Seiji blinked. "Huh? What's up, Senpai? I wore the shorts, and you got to wear jeans?" He said mildly, stuffing his hands into his pockets. Did he truly mind? Not in the slightest, actually. After all, it was a little chilly for shorts, and it was just a small tease. There was no doubt that at a time like this, where the feeling of excitement and adrenaline were on the verge of boiling over, something to calm the 'tense' atmosphere would be welcome. The only thing he could think of was that. And as for the uniform, while Seiji had at first considered things like the socks a little... eccentric for him to be wearing, he'd sort of gotten used to it and it wasn't bad at all really. It sort of caught on after a while.

                  ”July twenty-seventh, huh?”

Having let his attention wander down the alleyway before them, Seiji glanced over to Kazuo, watching the older male go through the contents of his bag. "That's the date today," The auburn-haired boy replied, a somewhat sheepish grin on his face. July twenty-seventh... This date in particular held a more distinguished meaning to Seiji; it was his birthday. Thinking of it in this way, that meant he'd been seventeen since two in the afternoon, hadn't he? As a matter of fact, he had received a few birthday greetings earlier that day along with a big fancy card and chunk of sugary cake from his older brother too, though any other type of celebrations wouldn't be until later when his parents managed actually be at home. As of late, the house had been pretty quiet until dark, so any chances of a little get together were slim to none. That was fine with Seiji though. He could wait, and it wasn't as if it was mandatory.

"It must be kinda weird to have your birthday on the same day as a match like this, but pretty exciting, too. Maybe it means you can't lose today.”

Vaguely surprised, but still a little pleased that Kazuo even remembered something small like that, Seiji nodded thoughtfully. "Y'think?" He replied, a half grin forming on his face. "Let's hope I'm a good luck charm or something then." If they were fortunate, what Kazuo said would be true. Blinking curiously, Seiji was not at all expecting to receive the tiny black box which Kazuo handed to him. A gift? Hesitating for a moment or so, the auburn-haired male eventually opened the box, his hazel eyes widening in surprise as they peeked in. Fingering the shiny letters that adorned the mp3 player neatly, a half-hearted scowl formed on the boy's lips. "Kazuo-senpai, you didn't need to get me nothing." He muttered, slightly embarrassed with it all, his eyes pointedly fixed on the box as he carefully plucked the little electronic from it's resting position in the box. Relishing the feel of the smooth and cool surface on his fingers, Seiji rubbed gently at the embossed 'S'.

"Arigatou, Senpai." Seiji finally murmured, delicately looking over the mp3, unable to stop the wide grin from appearing on his face. "Hontouni arigatou." He continued, running a hand through his locks in embarrassment, the sincerity of his words quite clear. Quickly shaking the feel off though, Seiji nodded, snatching another quick look at it before finally closing the box with care. "It's awesome." He praised, briefly wishing he could use it already. But there weren't any songs, so that would be pointless, wouldn't it? With that, the young male pocketed the box gently, deciding he would add songs to his new mp3 as soon as he got home later that night.

It was quite the stroke of luck that Kazuo-senpai had gotten him a music player. The one Seiji had been using was pretty old. He had had the feeling for some time now, that the tiny thing would split apart into pieces if someone touched the 'play' button one more time. How it'd lasted three years was a mystery. To be more specific, how it'd last three years plus the couple of years his elder brother had used it, was unfathomable. Seiji had been meaning to get another one, but what with striving to keep his AT's in as good condition as possible it was a little difficult. "You should see my old mp3. It's like an antique or something." He murmured, his gaze shifting to the alleyway once more almost unconsciously. It was probably time to stop talking, wasn't it? It wouldn't be good to be late. Kazuo seemed to have the same thing in mind.

"So we should probably get going now so that we're not late or anything. I think that Shibuya is stopping by Kaoru's to pick her up 'cuz it's dangerous for a girl to be walking through alleys by herself, no matter how competent she is. We'll probably just meet up with them there.”

Seiji nodded in response, as his senpai proceeded to give a quick overview on where the rest of the team was. Releasing the brakes from his own AT's, Seiji didn't lag behind when Kazuo shot into the alley. No, this was something at which he couldn't afford to lag behind in! Keeping at a pace that allowed him to stay relatively close to Kazuo, the male followed after him, instinctively leaping lithely onto a railing when he came upon one. It was a habit, a habit! Sliding along the metal smoothly, Seiji landed neatly once again on the dark concrete, taking note that they had just about reached their destination. It hadn't taken long, but then again, they were riding not walking. A big building came into view, a hangar by the looks of it; Cipher's base. Taking the area in as he rolled to a gentle stop a few paces behind Kazuo, Seiji nodded silently. Waiting for the others was fine by him, they'd be able to go in as a team that way. Ah... The excitement was coming back again. He could feel it's presence more wildly than before, and he wasn't the only one. The sound of a soft rhythmic tap gave it away. The electricity was getting stronger.

                  Soon.

.......... Minoru is the type of person that when everyone else is frantically rushing, he'll be making his way at the same pace as when he began. Calm and rhythmic. In this sense, the Ox is very passive and laid back. He dislikes rushing through things, because really, what's the point then? You'll just end up missing or messing things up. He's easy going and very patient. It's rare to see Minoru loud and things like that as well, because he generally prefers to keep his calm demeanor. It's not at all difficult to befriend or even speak to him, and when he does warm up to you, Minoru is an excellent listener, dependable and honest. If he makes a promise, he'll keep it, no matter what. It that way as well, it can be said that perhaps Minoru is a little naive. He won't hesitate to help anyone in need, and is quite stubborn about it; the Ox dislikes seeing people in trouble or hurt and will do anything to protect others. The Ox is most at ease when those around him are at ease.

Minoru isn't always so passive though. He enjoys basketball, and it's easy for one to see how the boy can become a lot more cheery and open. Minoru is also a pretty good athlete; he enjoys sports and competitions and everyone once in a while, he might get carried away. But over all speaking, the Ox is quite level-headed about things. He's the type to think things through, instead of rushing in. Keeping with his laid back demeanor, it probably isn't all that uncommon to see Minoru with his head in the clouds and such. That isn't to say that he isn't intelligent though. Looks can be deceiving. Minoru is quite smart and even quick thinking when the time calls for it.

Generally, Minoru is quite good natured and not at all rude. But, when provoked to a certain extent, his darker personality takes over. The differences aren't difficult to note either. When he turns 'dark', Minoru becomes more arrogant, bold and he isn't afraid to speak his mind no matter what the thought or the situation. He becomes more wild, and where he would previously have thought things through, he instead opts for throwing caution to the wind. When in this mood, it seems like Minoru gains more strength and speed, and it can be quite dangerous if you're the one he's angry or annoyed with. His words can be harsh, and sarcastic and all around cruel compared to his other personality. Depending on the nature of the situation and what it was that angered him, Minoru could spend some time 'dark', before actually calming down. Some people think he's bi polar, but really, it's more that he's found that unless one is forceful or angry, they won't get what they want. He's slow to anger, but once it's done, his temper is unbelievable.

    ..............................xONCE UPON A TIME xxxxxxxxxx

    XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX
.......... During her last year of high school, Miyagi Akina took a school trip to multiple places in Japan along with her friends. At first, the young girl was reluctant to take such a trip. But finally, after relentless prodding and words from her two best friends, Akina decided to go. When the trip was over two weeks later, she was glad she'd listened.

Akina met with a man during their travels that had for some reason caught her interest. She soon grew acquainted with the name, who was named Sohma Kenji. The two grew to know each other while they went with the trip, and when they finally returned home, that didn't stop the two from continuing their relationship. Eventually, when the two graduated from school, the two got married. For a while, Akina and Kenji traveled about Japan, just like when they'd first met. The two were quite the couple. Finally, the two returned back to their home. When the settled down, the two decided to have a child. And thus, Minoru was born on a November night.

It's obvious enough to say that when Akina held her new born son for the first time, she received quite a shock. In her arms, she held a new born calf, not a boy. Kenji, while still just as surprised, knew what had just happened. It seemed like his son was one of the Zodiac. Once the two parents were able to get used to this strange curse, one could see that both Akina and Kenji had managed to adapt to it. The two didn't want to repeat the actions the families of the past Zodiac had done, especially as this curse seemed to be more... powerful. And so, for the first couple of years of his life, the Ox lived quite happily with his kind parents.

When he was six or so though, Minoru's father acquired a new job. Leaving on a business trip, he and Akina decided to go together. They left their son in the care of one of the Sohma Estate's servants while they were gone, trusting that for the time they would be absent, their child would be cared for. It was during these about three that Minoru spent with this servant, that basically formed his second, darker side. Even at six, the boy understood the gist of his 'curse.' His father had explained it vaguely, the reason why he couldn't take off that necklace, and the reason why physical contact with his mother wasn't really allowed. He'd even said that the past generation of Sohmas with this curse had at times been rejected or treated like monsters. And even though Minoru understood that, it didn't mean the young boy was prepared to treated that way.

Minoru, even as a small child gentle disposition, probably one of the reasons his parents couldn't believe him to be a monster. He was never really angered, and quite laid back. But, for the time his parents left him, the boy was forced to cope with a cruel woman that didn't hesitate to drop snide remarks or insults about the boy during her time with him, though only out of fear of the curse. How he was a monster, to be cursed. Not mention, there was always the 'risk' of him changing into what she called his 'true' form. She didn't leave any opportunity to mutter how it was surprising his parents hadn't abandoned him, or how they'd left to get away from him. And even though she'd said that she'd take care of the boy, the woman wasn't that interested in keeping her promise. She was nothing like the boy's parents.

In the last week Minoru was forced to spend with that woman, something snapped within the usually gentle boy. The woman had time and time again 'forgotten' his meal, and had begun to spout insults, much harsher then the usual ones, most likely due to the 'stress' she had to deal with when with him. It wasn't that hard to do so either, seeing as Minoru wasn't the type to speak back at any insults. But just like that... he snapped. The negative thoughts and feelings had been swirling in the boy for quite some time. He felt stupid and weak, and he couldn't do anything about it. With that last trigger, Minoru snapped back at the woman's words, knocking down some things in the room for added emphasis the next time she spoke to him. Before the shocked servant could retaliate, the boy swept more items onto the floor violently and made his escape. For the remainder of the days he was to spend with the servant, Minoru rarely made an appearance, and the woman quieted down as well, thoroughly convinced what she'd said was true.

When they returned and Akina went to find Minoru, she could tell something was different about her son. Not only did he have the occasional cut and bruise (from his escapades out to get away from that lady), but his persona seemed.. different. More menacing and threatening. Despite their tries, Minoru wasn't willing to tell his parents what had happened merely growling and glaring, and the only thing they heard was from the woman. All she'd said was that the child was a monster and violent, before pleading that they never leave him with her again and leaving and perhaps lock him up for good measure. Eventually though, Minoru grew comfortable and accustomed to his parents once more, and the dark aura faded. But, ever since then Akina and Kenji noted that at the certain times Minoru's gotten angry, his personality seems to change drastically.

As of now, Minoru is living with his mother in the Sohma Estate. His father has moved for the time being to be closer to work, but still gives his family the occasional call when he's not busy. Minoru has tried to keep his personality switches in check, because that's really the last thing he needs.

At the sound of his name being called, Ren instinctively turned to the owner of the voice, patiently awaiting the words that would follow.

”Ren, Yuna and I met up with Lorella earlier at the inn that Ayumi works at. You might wanna check in that direction for her.”

The boy nodded in response to the older male's advice, his mind already beginning to search for the quickest route to the inn. Prepared to head off again, if only to keep himself from staying still too long, Ren caught sight of his leader returning to consciousness. Shou was right, wasn't he? Despite the damage she'd taken, Yuna was already up and speaking. This was merely another reason why she was a good leader though, wasn't it? Nothing could keep her down. A quick laugh escaped him, as he watched Shou and Yuna exchange a small banter. Though it was probably a good idea for her to rest, even just the sight of his leader well enough to pick a argument with Shou was reassuring.

"I'm glad you're alright, Yuna-san." Ren put in, giving her a little grin. Still, it was best he hurry and locate Lorella. Obviously he'd been idle long enough, for even Shou waved him away. ...What was he doing standing around? This wasn't time for rest! "Right," He replied, heaving his trusty blade up and back into it's sheath delicately.

"... It’s a big job, so we’ll be countin’ on ya. Can you do it?"

Ren nodded, taking in all that Shou said. It only made sense that all villagers keep away from the grotesque sight of severed limbs, and looking worried would not help to ease any fears. Determinedly, Ren told himself he would get on with this task, quickly and efficiently. "I can handle it easily, Shou-san." He reassured, nodding yet again before starting off in the familiar direction of the cozy inn. "Watch Hitomi please," He added as an afterthought, before picking up his pace and leaving his comrades.

Swiftly, Ren made his way through the eerily empty streets. But though the danger had passed, that didn't mean it hadn't left it's mark on the surroundings. His senses still finely tuned and alert, Ren didn't miss the tiny shift of movement of an overturned cart and a vague snuffling. Tensing, he rested a hand on the hilt of his sword, yet he did not pull it out. Instead, he cautiously made his way towards the cart. Was this a straggling creature? Hesitantly, he knocked on the wood, finding that the response was a gasp and utter silence. That was mostly definitely not the reaction to be expected of one of those mindless creatures. "Hello?" Ren said softly, kneeling down, searching for a grip to return the cart to it's right position with the wheels on the ground.

Much to his surprise, his call was met by a pair of fearfully wide eyes and a low growl. A little girl was huddled in the shelter of the cart, her arms wrapped around a fluffy looking dog. Adjusting his grip on the cart, Ren tilted his head slightly, so he could get a better look. "Don't be scared," He murmured softly in a soothing voice, trying to look as harmless as possible. The dog settled it's growls to a gentle rumbling that petered out, and the girl stared for a second, as if recognizing him and finding his sight welcome. With a little gasp, the girl leapt at him, tackling him down and wrapping her arms around his neck.

Her grip was quite strong, enough so that Ren found he almost lost his grip on the cart. Fortunately though, the dog had slipped out already and was studying him curiously, and there was really no need to keep the cart up anymore. Carefully, so as to not get his fingers caught, Ren let go of the wood, putting a hand lightly on the girl's arm. He was getting dizzy like this... At the touch, the girl weakened her grip the slightest bit, but that was enough. "What were you doing out here?" He asked curiously, settling on the ground for a moment. The dog proceeding to sniff his sheathed sword, then snorting in disgust. Ah... he'd have to clean Rakurai later. "It's a little dangerous, hey?"

The girl sniffed, digging her teary face into his shoulder. "Kuni didn't want to go inside like everyone else, and I chased him and that's when the scary monster cames, so we hid underneath the cart. But then we got stuck. ... Are you hurt?" She said, her voice muffled against his clothing, but her eyes on the scratch on his arm. Ren blinked, finally standing up, the girl in his arms since it was definitely apparent that she did not intend to release her death grip anytime soon. "Well, good thing you're both safe, and I'm fine." Ren said with a little grin, the dog running circles around him happily having deemed him a friend. "Where d'you live? I'll take you there." The girl raised her head, looking at him. "All the way over there, by the tiny store." She replied, pointing to a distant area. It was pretty far, though perhaps not exactly unusual for a child to be so far from home. In a place like Irilia, it was pretty common, and Ren could clearly remember all the times he'd 'run away' to the opposite side of town.

"Alright, I'll take you there, but you won't mind a little detour to the inn, right?" He inquired kindly, to which the girl shook her head, having grown comfortable where she was. With that acknowledgment, Ren started off again with a tired huff, Shou's words still in his mind. He couldn't stay still for too long! "We're going to find Lorella-san, you know her, right?" The chocolate-haired male asked, using words to sooth the girl's still jittery nerves. She nodded as he turned a corner, his eyes flitting in search of the inn's familiar shape, the dog at his heels. "Yes! The Guardian! You're a Guardian too, right?! So cool...! Ah, my name is Michi, and that's Kuni!" The girl said, wriggling in his grip in excitement, her fear ebbing away. "Y-yeah, that's right, I'm Ren" He replied, finally stepping up to the inn's doors. This is where Lorella was, right? Hopefully. He needed to get back to Hitomi...

Knocking on the door first, Ren paused for a moment, before actually opening it. He didn't want to startle any people within, nor did he want some of the more impulsive people to mistake him for a monster. Luckily, from the area he'd passed through, it looked like the creatures had been cleared out. Now all that was let was to clean up but first! Lorella! "Michi-chan, do you mind if I set you down...?" Ren asked her gently, to which the girl gave a reluctant look but nodded. "Aha, thanks, Michi-chan... I'll get you home soon," Michi stepped lightly to the ground, proceeding to cling to her dog instead. Having made sure she was fine, Ren stepped through the inn, in search of the gentle healer. "Is Lorella-san here?"

One of the people nodded over to one of hallway, motioning to one of the doorways leading inwards. Slipping through the hallway, Ren hurriedly made his way through the door, hoping Lorella wasn't too busy. Peeking into the room swiftly he found who he was looking for.

"Lorella-san! Is everything alright...? Also, Yuna-san and Hitomi, they got a little roughed up by the creatures... Can you can with me?"

With a soft grin, Minoru nodded, embarrassed yet pleased all the while. Tsubaki had smiled at him, praising him for his accomplishment in catching the fish. Compliments and such weren't something the boy was exactly used to nor really expecting, but when he did receive one, it was nice. At least, it felt good. The girl listened quite politely as Minoru spoke, a sweet expression on her face all the while. As the two made their way from the game stall, the boy listened with equal attention to his cousin as she replied to his previous questions.

"Oh? Yes, I do believe many of our cousins are attending this festival. I even heard Hiroki-sama is attending,"

Minoru nodded slowly, a tad surprised that the God of their cursed Zodiac was among the milling crowds of the festival. Hiroki-sama tended to wander the grand and vast estate, thus an outing like this was perhaps something a little out of the ordinary. In a way though, the Ox could understand the reason for the difference in Tsubaki's voice when speaking of Hiroki-sama. For one reason or another (though he couldn't really place why), Minoru was a little uncertain on how to act when around the God. He seemed quite liable to switch from one mood to another quickly. The last thing the gentle boy wanted was to get someone angry because of him.

Snapping out of his reverie, Minoru allowed his gaze to wander, attracted by the calling lights as Tsubaki fiddled with her phone. After a moment's thought, he raised the bag where the fishes floated curiously, allowing the plastic and the water within to catch and reflect the lights. The colors seemed a little distorted, but still mesmerizing all the same. Letting his hand drop back to his side, Minoru returned his gaze to Tsubaki; the girl was looking quite please with herself.

"Would you like to go with me to my booth? It's not that far and my boss did mention watermelons so we could get them there while I'm at it. Although, I understand if you don't want to."

Taking in her words for a moment or so, Minoru eventually gave a soft nod.
"That sounds good. Watermelon would be great too." He said, accepting her offer with a little grin. He didn't mind tagging along to the Ram's booth, for at least that way he wouldn't be wandering the festival alone. Festivities like this tended to be more enjoyable when with company anyways, right? The boy had been about to speak up once more, but his words faltered as he noticed the look on his cousin's face. Blinking, Minoru wondered what was wrong. Hopefully the little game distraction and himself hadn't made her late or anything of the sort... All for those little fish... ! Luckily, it seemed it wasn't so, for Tsubaki suddenly proceeded to apologize to him, bending into a deep bow.

              "H-huh...?"

It was only a few moments afterwards that Minoru realized what it was his cousin was apologizing for. "Don't worry about it Tsubaki-san," He replied, shaking his head. "You don't have to be that formal either, if it's alright with you." He continued, giving the girl an amiable look. Tsubaki was probably one of the few members of the Zodiac the boy got along so well with. Not wishing for the Ram to dwell on her 'mistake' anymore, Minoru stretched his arms before himself, glancing at her, amusement and curiosity in his eyes. "But Tsubaki-san, you're working at a booth? What's it about?" Carefully threading his way through the crowd, the boy made sure he didn't lose sight of his cousin as they continued walking.

"I can help, if you want, too."

I t was clear that his presence had resulted in various reactions from the trio. Nothing unusual mind you, for Takeji always seemed to cause some sort of different expression to cross a person's face when he spoke with them. It was a skill, being able to do that on a daily basis. Kouki looked, as usual, a tad on the annoyed side. Why? Well, it was quite obvious, since he seemed to be pretty protective of his cousin Kotori over there. Not that Takeji had done anything to the girl, other than greet her. Actually, truth be told, the young male felt sure if he had thrown an arm around Kotori like he had done with Miaka, he'd at the moment be trying to escape from Kouki's wrath. Or... something similar to that. On another note though, he wasn't as dense as to not be able to tell that Kotori herself was not exactly used to his presence. Teasing the girl while knowing that that would just be plain cruel.

At Kouki's reply, Takeji merely shook his head, in mock disappointment. "What kind of guy goes around arguing with a sweet girl like Miaka-chan all the time?" The blond looked solemnly over to Miaka, gazing at her steadily for a few seconds. "Right, Miaka-chan? I'm here for you though, so don't worry and count on me." The serious expression melted off after a pause, a wide and amused grin spreading onto his face in it's place. Miaka was such a good sport when it came to Takeji and his incessant urge to tease (specifically Kouki), and it was great that she didn't mind too much. Having released the girl from his hold, Takeji gave her a smart nod in response to her greeting, allowing her some space. He pouted momentarily, as Kouki deemed his 'greeting' a harassment to his more timid cousin. That wasn't harassment! Luckily, Miaka agreed. Yes, it was a compliment for the lovely Kotori, nothing more. Some people were quite protective, weren't they. Though if Takeji could really say anything about it was another question.

At the sound of a timid voice calling out from behind Kouki, the blond looked in the direction as he was addressed. It looked as though the girl had summoned enough courage to speak to him. Albeit, she was still clinging to her cousin, making use of the protective shield he provided. Not wishing to scare Kotori away, Takeji responded with a soft look and grin. Still as friendly as ever, but toned down a tad. "Same, Kotori-chan." Both Miaka and she agreed with the idea of him coming along, so that was good. There was no need to worry about feeling unwelcomed or anything of the sort. The boy doubted there was anything really of interest to do alone after school anyways. The only thing that came to mind was... School work? Well, while his sensei had indeed urged him to do so, Takeji had absolutely no motivation for something like that. When it became truly necessary, he would do his work, but if not, then why get so stressed over something so... trivial?

It looked as though Kouki intended to repay the little teasing Takeji had done, for he spoke with a smirk, answering a previous question. He'd added some stress to the word 'study' while he was at it as well. An incredulous look flickered on Takeji's features, as he gave his self-deemed friend a little prod in the shoulder. "You're joking, right? Studying? School work?" At this, he shook his head in exasperation. He couldn't see how that was supposed to work. Get up early, go to school for quite virtually for the whole day, then go home to do more work? No no no. That wasn't how Takeji saw things. Or perhaps, it wasn't how he liked to see things. As long as he could really remember, he hadn't really ever seen any need to do all the work his teachers gave him. I mean really! He was doing quite fine without all the extra work, so there was no need to worry, right? Of course. Unfortunately for his teachers, Takeji saw no appeal in extra work. Thus, there was little doubt that he'd take a day of random wandering outdoors in place of pondering over practice questions and whatever else it was that he had in the bag he hardly opened at home.

"Oh don't worry Kouki-kun, I'm coming," Takeji replied lightly after a momentary pause, a cocky grin on his face along with a small laugh. Adjusting the bag on his shoulder, he glanced over to the other male innocently, showing him that he refused to be as easily ruffled. "But I won't be doing any work." He added, "Just think of me as an extra person to add to the fun, or comic relief if you will." It was true though. Work was not a big thing with him obviously enough. Noting that both girls seemed to be impatient and were itching to get a move on, Takeji took a few steps towards the exit. The faster he got out of the school, the better anyways. It wouldn't really be surprising if one of the more nasty teachers caught sight of him still hanging about, and accused him of doing something. Not that he'd done anything, but it seemed that his general impression seemed to be that of a prankster. Now how had that happened...? On another note, learning environments were somewhat stuffy anyways. The outdoors was quite welcoming after a day of sitting at a desk for hours on end.

"Let's go then." Takeji said, quite admittedly enjoying himself though he'd only met up with the trio less than five minutes ago. Miaka had the right idea too. "Cheesecake, hm? You'll have to lead the way to that place then, Miaka-chan." Takeji commented thoughtfully. "Well, I guess not before feeding... Mimi-san, is it?" The boy had managed to pick up the gist of that aspect of the conversation from the small exchanges between Kotori and Miaka. It looked like that would be a brief detour, not that he minded at all. After all, it he was who was tagging along. "Ready to go, Kouki-kun? We wouldn't want to keep this Mimi-san waiting now would we?" Takeji commented remarked, nudging the other male gently in the shoulder, grinning all the while (it was a rare sight to see him not smiling in someway). "I'll even treat you to a slice of cake, or whatever you'd like. 'Course, if you don't want then I'll just have to hope that Miaka-chan or Kotori-chan will accept my offer." He finished smoothly, looking expectantly at Kouki then both girls, the amusement in his eyes ever present in his inviting expression.

                  "Right?"

When in her original form, Adelaide's hair reaches down to just before her shoulder blades. It's a dark bluish black hue in color, soft, silky, and shiny. There is no doubt that despite all, her hair is well cared for. She has bangs that reach just above her eyes, and it's not uncommon to find a soft blue ribbon intertwined with the shorter strands, that frame her delicate face. More often than not, just for convenience's sake, one will find Adelaide's hair held up with an attractive clip, or a little pony tail. It's a lot more easier to work and move about as such, but she does leave her hair down on occasion.

As for Adell's hair style, it's almost really a 'male' version of Adelaide's. It still has that same soft feel, but surprisingly enough, it looks a lot more rough and wild. The major difference is really that it's cropped shorter, and has a more handsome style to it, like a prince. There is no need or worry about how to fix up her hair when she's a boy, that's for sure. Another thing to note as well, would be that the color is a little more darker, more shadow like than her natural hair.

Adelaide has quite a deceiving figure. She has an elegant face, with a delicate nose and smooth skin. Her eyes are a deep blue, but forever flickering with life and curiosity, giving her a pretty and petite look. One that matches with the shape of her body, which is not too bad for a girl her age, mind you. But despite all this, she is a lot more tougher than she looks. Adelaide is actually quite quick-footed and speed and agility can be considered one of her fortes, while in contrast strength is her weakness. She stands at about 5'5 and her weight is average for a girl.

Ughh, this is a strange bit for Adelaide! Adell stands at 5'7 surprisingly, and his weight is just a bit more than Addie's. He too has something of an elegant figure, and there have been times when he's been mistaken for a girl. Oh, if they only knew. But the differences are there too! For one thing, Adell has more of a fiery look burning in his eyes, more arrogance almost though that is certainly not the case. The way he holds his head up, as well is quite different. It's as if, the different body summons up a different 'personality' as well. Moving on, despite the feministic features he has, he's actually well muscled. Strength isn't as much of a problem for Adell than his female self. It's also quite obvious that he's flat-chested.

As a girl, Adelaide wastes no time in decorating herself with necklaces, trinkets, rings, bracelets and an assortment of ears for the three piercings on her left ear and one on the right. She is not exactly one for wearing dresses, and instead opts for a light shirt accompanied by a decorative skirt, underneath which she wears tights. Her feet are always wearing boots, just-below knee high in length and black. They're sturdy and easy to move in. She also wears a wrapping of a belt around her waist, tilted attractively to one side.

Obviously, a male does not wear skirts. Nor light revealing shirts. Thus, Adell dons a thin white shirt below a dark blue tunic, with black pants. The boots are the same, as they seem to work well in either situation. Adell still has all of Adelaide's piercing, but the other things such as necklaces and trinkets tend to be put away when in male form. It's sort of insulting when you're a boy (even if you're not) and you're mistaken for a girl.

The curse that was brought upon Adelaide by the WIZARD is one that she wishes she could break as quickly as possible. In a fit of rage, as of a result of yet another failed experiment with magic courtesy of her, he cursed her. The effect of the magic? When Adelaide returned to her senses, she was not the same. She was a... boy?! She looked like a boy, spke like a boy, ... felt like a boy?! Her mind was even like that of a male, if that was possible. Before kicking her out, the WIZARD was 'kind' enough to explain that from that moment forth, should any male hug her, Adelaide would become her male counterpart. The temporary cure to reverting herself to her original female self? Kiss a boy. What a cruel curse! It didn't have to be a kiss on the lips exactly, he explained but it did have to be a kiss or she'd stay a boy for the rest of her life.

      I'm not really here: Artemyes
Well where should I start: Let's see... I think Talan is going to end up the type that always voices his annoyance, but feels guilty after if he went a little overboard. He doesn't remember his true past, obviously, but the Queen and Ace always make him feel strange and weird though he doesn't hesitate to say he doesn't trust them because they're demons. There may even be a point where he goes out on a limb for either of them, on pure instinct, though he'll end up in a stubborn and irritable mood after. He'll also be very attached to his piece of the ruby, since he's convinced it was a treasure from his mother. I think he may feel guilty about what happened to his mother, because on that day he left with his father to help him out work-wise when he could've gone with his mother.

      At your service: I think you have a pretty good idea of this part, right? ^^;
      OMG! A rainbow: deepskyblue 4, coral 4, darkorange 4, darkorange 3...
      Watch me at work:

The soft breeze that blew about gave the atmosphere a cool tone, but he didn't notice it. In fact, Talan was aware of nothing more than the fact that there was a young woman with her arms around him. Out of sheer instinct, he felt his body move, his arms returning her embrace, bringing her closer, the feel of her silky rose colored hair on his face. Somewhere deep within, something was saying 'Finally. You're both here, back.' But he didn't know them. He didn't. He'd only met them moments before, so why was it all so nostalgic? Why did he not want to release his hold on this woman? Forcing himself to do so anyways and wondering why he felt so content, so excited, Talan attempted a scowl, stubbornly composing himself and looking away. Familiar or not; These people were demons.

      He hated demons.

Hated them for all they'd done to humans and to his mother, yet these here thought they could just come up to him, the leader of a Rebellion and offer to join up? This couldn't be so simple. They had to have an ulterior motives, like all those power-hungry demons did. It was a trick, a ploy to get rid of one of the few standing groups of humans that opposed them. They could not be trusted. So why did he feel as though he was making up excuses, and that he could trust the? They were demons, plain and simple, no need to think further. But..

"Fine. I'll allow you to join, but don't get the wrong idea. I am the leader of this group, and I'll be watching you. Don't think you'll get away with harming my team or anything of the sort. If it wasn't for the fact that we're low on people, I'd have already walked off."

Talan found himself saying, emotions conflicting within him. Happiness, he wanted them to stay, whoever they were. Uncertainty, what was he doing? Either way, what was done was done. With a stubborn scowl still on his face, Talan turned and stalked off, determined to be prepared for anything that should come his way. But his heart was still beating rapidly, the excitement hadn't left. Somewhere deep inside, there it was again... 'You're back.'

      What did it mean?

                                Of course.

Leave it to Yuu to take something as innocent as a simple question the wrong way. Talan had known that this would be the eventual result, but he'd tried anyways, because who knew, maybe just this once Yuu would just say what was on his mind. As it was though, even being idealistic didn't help this particular situation. As soon as the words had left Talan's mouth, a scowl formed on his companion's face. It was as if a tension had crept in without his knowing, but Talan kept his gaze high and unwavering. He would not let himself back down as such. At least, he wouldn't back down until Yuu answered him truthfully. If Yuu thought he was doing this out of spite, or even just to be a jerk, then he was very far from the truth. To say that Talan considered the other male a friend (a good one too) was nothing short of the truth, and the fact that he would respond so negatively was less than pleasant. But then again, that was just like him wasn't it?

"It doesn't matter what I was thinking. And even if it did, who are you to go about prying around in my thoughts?"

Talan returned the scowl, gripping and regripping his weapon. "I wouldn't ask if it didn't matter now would I? I think what you think matters, so what's the deal? It was a question." He retorted simply, getting just a little irritable with the vehemence being directed at him for what he saw to be no real reason at all, but trying to keep calm; he didn't want his ability to start up all of a sudden. Yuu just couldn't take things nicely for once, could he? Again, it was apparently not so, because Yuu looked ready to leap at him again. Talan didn't budge, but he was watching, ready to avoid an uncalled for attack in case Yuu felt particularly angry about his little 'trespass'. All he'd meant in asking the question, was something of a concern, since he'd seen that Yuu did not seem well during the introductions. Of course, it wasn't like Talan was going to explain that to him. He'd probably just get more angry or something along those lines. Carefully, Talan had already slipped into a fighting stance almost, just in case this 'break' was cut short abruptly. He didn't care that there were others around, they weren't close enough to hear, as if Yuu had ever even taken the thought of actually just saying what was on his mind into context at all. Before their conversation (or was it argument?) could continue any further, it was cut short by the arrival of one of the demons.

                                "Taking a break?"

At the sound of the voice, Talan turned half his attention almost simultaneously with Yuu towards the demon he was now able to quickly place as Kawataro. The expression on Talan's was neutral, a cool professional as it had been before, but he did not relax his hold on his weapons. Whether Kawataro had meant it or not, the underlying meaning of his next words had not been lost on the rebellion leader. Even so, Talan did not react negatively, or at all really to the words. There was no sense in getting into a fight, so quickly after the demons had arrived the young man told himself. Yuu's thoughts this time though, whether he wanted Talan to leave alone or not, were something he could see more clearly. At the offer of a little bout, Talan was quite sure Yuu was itching to accept. Before he could say a word for or against it though, Yuu had already said yes. "Yes...why don't we, I'm sure Talan won't protest to a...friendly match, won't he?" The way Yuu said it was as if he was daring Talan to say otherwise.

"No. That sounds good actually..." Talan finally put in, looking between the two before him. It could be a good chance to see what Asuki's demons had in them when it came to fighting. Just as Kawataro had said, a chance to get to know the others' abilities. It seemed like there was a gathering coming into being around the ringing of the clearing too, as if it wasn't only Kawataro that wanted to get a look at the 'other sides' skills. Of course, when it came to a battle, even a practice spar, things like observers couldn't be distractions or it could prove potentially fatal. As it was though, there were somethings one just had to be distracted by. In Talan's case, it was the sudden appearance of a multitude of butterflies, swirling around him like one of the tornadoes he could summon, but a lot more pretty and harmless. The little spar had only been going on for about two or three minutes, when Talan straightened up in surprise, using his rapier to fend off an incoming attack before retaliating, though not with as much force as usual. He watched the colors of butterfly wings float by, before finally connecting the dots. There really could be no other explanation for the abrupt display but Rin, as the butterflies also happened to be a telltale hint. That really could have been dangerous too, whether the younger girl knew it or not. If he wasn't mistaken, he would probably be the only one to see these butterflies as well.

"Rin-chan," Talan murmured, not taking his eyes off his opponent, despite the flurry of wings that still danced around him in a very distracting manner. For her skill to be so potent (and realistic mind you), she had to be nearby...

                                "Rin-chan!"

His heart was beating fast. He could feel it. Could it hear it? He swore it could, the sound was so loud, too loud. Takeru wanted to stop running, but he knew if he did, that would be game over. Why was this strange creature so interested in him?! He wasn't anything special... Right? When it'd first come upon him, it'd said something about him being tasty-smelling. Whatever that meant, it surely wasn't good. Now, he was running. Running with one hand holding a girl's smaller one, his friend. Or, more like acquaintance, since he'd only met her a half hour ago. Out of all the possible times for one of these spirits to be attracted to him! Perhaps he was only being foolish, thinking that he'd be able to make actually make a friend when he seemed to be such a tasty looking thing for all these ethereal creatures that no one could see. The girl didn't even know why she was running, only that something ominous was chasing them and that she couldn't wait to run home and curl up under her covers shivering in fear of what she couldn't see.

It was getting closer now...! They'd never be able to outrun it... ! --

Sunlight filtered though the window's curtains, and he woke up with a start. Takeru blinked slowly, turning in his bed. That'd happened so long ago, and he was still having nightmares. He let out a slow sigh, running a hand through his hair. That thing that'd been chasing him. Back then, he hadn't known what it was; now he knew though. "Damn spirit," Takeru muttered, thinking back on how after that incident, the girl's parents had forbade him to go near their daughter.

Sticking his tongue out at the mere thought of that, Takeru let his upper body slip off the bed lazily. Whatever! Spirits and youkai were annoying... sometimes. Hm. Where was his little 'bodyguard' now anyways? Perhaps enjoying his latest bottle of the finest sake he'd managed to get for him? That'd been a lot of trouble... If his mother found out he was swiping Sake, that'd be the end of any potential social-life he had. But Takeru had to admit, he was thankful for the feline-spirit.

He was the reason why he wasn't being digested by some creature at the moment.

Touya has an appearance which has been described as an uncanny combination between his mother and his father. The first thing one can note, as soon as they are open to the presence of this young ranger, is the aura he carries. A feel of confidence, assurance, determination; it's probably no wonder some say, that he ended up with said career. Touya gives off welcoming vibes, something key when needing to be able to communicate and befriend a variety of creatures.

Moving on, Touya's gaze is the next thing most likely to catch someone's attention. The evidence of his passion is forever present, glittering brightly in his honest gaze. There is no need to try to fathom Touya's thoughts, for they are clear in his expression, and the light of his gaze. A gaze which is, perhaps, intensified by the strong hue of violet they seem to reflect as. They're not really, being actually a subtle maroon color. His hair is a deep reddish brown without a doubt though, with a length that keeps quite close to the head save for the unruly bangs. A wind-blown style is quite common for Touya's hair, most likely due to his frequent movement and travels outdoors. It's not as messy as it first looks though, but it does serve to add to his overall 'wild' and confident look. His locks frame a sharply defined and expressive face, a bold chin, and a finely tapered nose.

Body-wise, Touya is quite fit. He does after all, spend quite an amount of time outdoors. His skin is tanned lightly, from all the exposure to the sun, and he has some solid muscle to add to his build and figure. He has a lithe and flexible frame, well suited to his job. Touya stands at about 5'9, and he has been told by a worrying Tomeo that he should eat more, since his weight is just above a healthy number. Admittedly, that's something Touya finds he doesn't exactly have time to do, but when he does eat, it's a surprising amount!

Touya's clothing is more often than not, his ranger uniform plain and simple! Like most of these uniforms, it's main colors are red, yellow, white and black. It consists of an dark pair of shorts, along with two red and white belts, the second belt for carrying items, such as a little pouch filled with money and other little things. The form-fitting shirt is a deep black, decorated in the middle down with a band of white that flares a bit more at the bottom. Atop this, Touya wears a red jacket, it's sleeves usually rolled up attractively. The jacket itself, has yellow edges at the bottom, streaks of black diagonally moving upwards and around in a decorative manner. A pair of fingerless gloves adorn his hands more often than not, black and red in color. To match his attire, Touya has a pair of sturdy boots that reach to a bit above his ankles, once again decorated in white, black and red, kept secure with black straps.

Finally, the one thing that Touya is never ever without; his ranger styler. Unlike the one he used when he was in training, or even the one he was given once he graduated, the styler Touya uses is much more precious not to mention refined. Because of their great achievements as rangers, both Sadao and Madoka had been presented with Fine Stylers. Touya's styler is none other than Sadao's, a treasured memento of his father, given to him by Tomeo. It may have been difficult, these stylers were given to people with experience, but Touya eventually managed to rise his skills to a level where he could use his father's styler well. The mere thought of switching the old and worn styler for a new one is horrendous to Touya and he will not hear a word of it. The styler is fitted perfectly on his right hand, comfortable and the key item when it comes to distinguishing his ranger status.

Sadao and Madoka were rangers; they were well known and praised as heroes in the little town they called their home and base. The two were great rangers, ones whoo stried to help not nly every pokemon they could, but people as well. After all, a ranger's job was to help everyone! It was a demanding job, one that had both Sadao and Madoka working diligently, but that didn't stop them. The small town was proud of their ranger base, who would even on occasion take on extra missions to help out neighboring places. But even though they worked diligently, both rangers still had time to spend with their two young children. Touya and his younger brother Yori were always cuddled and hugged by the doting parents, and Touya would follow his father or mother around like a puppy. He and Yori were always treated to wondorous stories about all the pokemon they saved, or playing with their partner pokemon. It was really no surprise that the little boy soon came to wish to be just like his idols who were such a big part of his life. The idea made him shiver with delight, and his parents warmth and encouragement made him feel as though he really could do it if he worked hard enough.

Simply put, Touya had a nice childhood. His parents were always there for both Yori and him, despite all the work they had. Even the times when they weren't able to, Tomeo, an engineer and good friend of the family who'd gone to school with Sadao and Madoka was always there as well. He was a great person, three years younger than the two rangers and always willing to play with Yori and he. It was great fun to play ranger! Never, did Touya ever think this happiness would shatter so easily.

The day Touya lost his parents, he was awakened from his sleep by shouts and an unfamiliar din of noise. What he dreamt of he could only recall as hazy sights, yet whatever it'd been, the pleasantness of his dream world had melted to a nightmare, a dream mixed with reality's horrors. At the sight of Tomeo rushing past his room, the ten year old knew something was wrong. It was too early for Tomeo to be visiting, the sun was barely peeking out in the sky, the expanse tinged pinkish red. Quickly, Touya crawled out of bed, throwing on some clothing before going in search of his parents. "The fire's getting bigger and spreading, the forest needs to be evacuated, the fire team can't do anymore than what they're doing." The voice was low and urgent. Quietly, Touya kneeled hidden, his breath silent as he listened in. "Alright, we're going. The other Rangers will already be there, but they'll need help. The forest is full of pokemon, and they might be trapped with the suddenness of this fire." The tiny boy blinked at this, quickly picking up on the gist of the conversation. Their town's surrounding forest was on fire? That was the reason why there was such a tense aura... Lost in thought, Touya didn't notice his mother coming through the doorway, already in her ranger gear. "...Touya-kun! What are you doing? You're supposed to be asleep." Touya shook his head, looking up at his mother with determination. "No, Mama, I want to go with you! I can help too! I'm a ranger-in-training after all!" His mother only looked at him gently, but she firmly responded with a "No, you can't. It's too dangerous." Her son was adamant though, and he wouldn't be denied, making a dash for the door. That is, until his father swept him up in his strong arms, carrying the boy back to his room. "Stay indoors with Yori-kun." Touya struggled, but he was no match for the strength of his father, who promptly dropped him back onto his bed. "Don't leave the room until we come back." His father ordered, hugging the pouting boy, gently plucking his small arms from his neck. And they left.

Touya watched from the window in the confines of his room, now aware that it wasn't the sun stuck in permanent rising, but the fire that was consuming the forest that lit the sky such an orange color. It looked as though the whole town was encircled lit up by rings of flames. People were running about, frantic to quell the thirsty forest and keep children indoors and safe. The few minutes he stayed obediently as his father had directed was agonizing. He didn't want to disobery his father, but the hot-headed boy couldn't just sit there and watch. Eventually, Touya could not stay any longer; he simply couldn't while his parents and Tomeo were out there. He fumbled with the locked latch of the window and slipped out, stumbling a few steps, but dashing rapidly through the town to the forest edge where trying to keep his parent's retreating figures in sight. They'd had a head start though, and by the time he reached the edge of the forest burning the worst, they'd already disappeared into it. Stiffly, that was as far as Touya went. He couldn't bring himself any closer, his father's words still had a hold on him. Stay here. So that was what he did. In all the commotion, no one took a second look at Touya. The boy was caught in a disconcerting trance too; the air swelled with heat and the sky was filled with a variety of creatures trying to escape the fires. Agonizingly slowly, all the town rangers worked to save the pokemon trapped in the fiery inferno. They'd bring out a pokemon, then travel back in, their faces covered with ash and soot, their mouths and noses protected with a wet cloth. Throughout this all, Touya strained to see his parents, his heart leaping with joy when he caught sight of them through the smoke as they added to their 'saved count' and his heart sinking when he they disappeared further in.

Eventually though, all the rangers had to stop their rescue mission. The fires had grown more intense despite efforts to put it out, and it was getting too risky to continue in. Luckily, the pokemon in that most affected area had already either escaped, or been evacuated. Frantically, Touya searched for his mother and father, feeling despair as he caught sight of everyone else but them making their way out of the flames. A shriek suddenly pierced the air, as if the tree that was slowing toppling over was in pain. Within a horrid trance, Touya found he couldn't take his eyes off the sight. They weren't still in there, were they...? No, they couldn't be. His parents were heroes! They wouldn't let something like this stop them. Never. Finally spotting his parents making their way tiredly yet accomplished in their work, the boy felt his legs weaken, almost causing him to fall to his knees. He hadn't realized how worried he'd actually been; he'd even been holding his breath, his heart pounding wildly. Without any hesitation at all, Touya ran up to the two. He felt their breathing, their life underneath the underlying warmth of the heat from the fire emanating from their bodies as he hugged them. Both Sadao and Madoka were surprised; hadn't they left their son at home? Still, they returned their son's embrace tightly, and Touya didn't want to ever let go. Not wanting to look so weak, what with his eyes watering from the smoke more than anything (really!), Touya buried his face into them. They could go home now, they could--

The sound was faint, just barely audible over crackling flames and the frenzy. A desperate, pleading cry. Touya snapped up straight, his parents' gaze reverting back to the fiery forest. There was still something in there, someone stuck in the suffocating heat. After a few seconds frantic scan of the bright scene, Touya finally saw it! A tiny creature, trying to keep up and away from the flames. Was that an Eevee? "P-papa...!" Touya found himself saying, tugging at his father's jacket. "Over there... !" Catching sight of what Touya was pointing at, Madoka glanced at Sadao. Words were not needed to exchange the similar ideas and sentiments the two rangers held. Sadao looked down at his son, giving the boy's shoulder a gentle squeeze. "Touya-kun, we have to go back." Touya didn't respond, but he tightened his grip on them. Again though, he was no match for his father's strength. "We'll be back very quickly, wait here alright?" Madoka said softly, hugging him and kissing him lightly. He nodded jerkily, his hands still outstretched the embrace they'd held only seconds before as his parents dove back into the fiery inferno. He had to be brave! Look at his parents, they were so strong, so cool! Promising to wait for them, Touya stood his ground, waiting with his arms extended just a little, so he'd be ready when they came back to greet and hug them again.

                                    But something wasn't right.

Touya shivered in the glaring heat that emanated from the burning forest. Something wasn't right. In the back of his mind, he knew it, he felt it. But he couldn't place it. Frantically, his mind fumbled for the answer, fear building in his chest more and more as he searched for it. ... ... That was it! The sound! The sound he was hearing...! The small boy turned his gaze to the forest before him, his mind instantly connecting the answer. It was a sound similar to when the previous tree had fallen! It was too dangerous now. "Touya-kun!" At the sound of his name, Touya obediently snapped to attention, catching sight of his parents struggling back, their partner pokemon herding the way carefully. There, in his mother's arms was the Eevee. His legs started forward on impulse and the boy stepped quickly closer into the forest's edge, his arms still outstretched. "Mama... Mama...!" His voice cracked as smoke entered his lungs, but he still dashed forward as his mother threw the bundle of Eevee with as much effort as she could muster, before collasping on the ground. Instinctively, Touya stepped up, catching the shaking bundle in his arms. His heart was pounding with fear now, "Get out, get out, get out" his mind and body urged, but he couldn't. Not without his parents. His hold firm on the Eevee, Touya went deeper into the forest. "Mama, Papa, you have to get out , you have to--" His words were cut off abruptly, overtaken by the sound of a tree cracking in half. It was as if the flames were causing it to shriek in pain. It's cries were joined by more toppling of old trees, and Touya's vision blurred, as he tried to reach them. No! His parents, his parents...! The razing fire blocked his view of the two rangers deeper in the forest and the heat hurt, but he couldn't leave...! His parents were so close, only a couple more steps and he'd reach them, and they'd get out... Any further steps were halted forcibly by yet another burnt tree toppling. Touya stared in horror, as the burning wood fell right at him. His reaction was to turn and move, his body protecting the Eevee his parent's had protected as well; he had to get out. Stars shone and sparked as the tree landed right atop Touya. Vaguely aware of his shield-like protection for the creature, Touya strained a hand for the last place he'd seen his parents, wriggling to break free from his prison as he caught sight of their hazy figures. No, no, his mother, his father... The heat was licking at his bare arms and light clothing painfully, and then he couldn't feel anything anymore--

                                    Touya blacked out.

When he next woke up, it was five days later, with the very Eevee he'd clung to all this time pawing at him hesitantly. The ten year old felt so tired, but his mind instantly recalled all that had happened before, not caring for it's owner's weary body. He and the Eevee had been burned, but they'd made it out eventually, though the escape was nothing but foggy in his mind. His parents though? They hadn't. From that point on, Touya and Yori went to live with Tomeo who instantly offered to take care of his friend's children. Numbly, Touya's body recovered slowly and painfully, taking more time than expected for his burns to cool, his body to move with aching; at one point a high fever overtook him as well, but he soon got better. At least, his body did more than his mind. He could still feel the fire licking at him, wishing to consume him, the way it'd done to his parents. The Eevee recovered too, with much help from Touya who'd taken it upon himself to help it recuperate just as his parents would have done. He spent his time wandering Tomeo's house, his mind refusing to accept what had happened to his parents. It couldn't be. He hadn't been able to help them, though he'd been there. It wasn't fair that he hadn't been strong enough. At one point in his bout of sadness, Touya didn't even want to do anything more than wait, as if he'd soon see his mother and father returning home like they always did if he was patient enough. The case was not so, and everytime he was hauled back in by his frightened young sibling, Touya would feel as though he was back in the flaming area all over again, losing his precious parents all over again. Tomeo and Yori tried their best to raise his spirits and even the little Eevee seemed to have taken a liking to him, but still, the ten year old was lost in this strange state of regret and loss. He lacked motivation for everything, and there were plenty of people that came to visit with condolesences. Touya didn't want those though, people feeling sorry or pity, he just wanted his mama and papa back. Nothing else, but that didn't stop the townspeople from whispering or saying things about him and his poor parents whenever they saw him or Yori. There were even some people who whispered about how Touya had run recklessly into the fire. It made him feel bad, had he been the reason they hadn't returned? The little boy grew reserved, letting the words flow over him simply.

It was worrisome, for Tomeo knew that that had to have been a painful sight for Touya to witness, and he wasn't sure what to do. When it came to a point that the child said he didn't even want to become a ranger anymore, Tomeo knew he had to do something. It was at this point that by chance, or perhaps this was fate, that Tomeo invited Touya and Yori along to a secret little place he'd gone to often with the boy's parents, somewhere they'd meant to show the two children but had never had the chance to. It was a quiet little place, off to one side of the town, quaintly hidden almost, between trees that had survived the forest fire with little damage. At first, Touya was cautious, clinging to Tomeo; he didn't want to go into the forest, especially not at night. But Tomeo persisted, speaking to the little boy like one would to a wounded creature and before long, Touya reluctantly followed his guardian inwards, clinging to his shirt tightly, only reassured by his breathing and warmth. It wasn't far in and it was really nothing too special. Just a tiny clearing, a place where the flames had been weak and done little damage, where the moon's glow was visible over the silent leaves. It even looked as though the place was glittering, though that had to be his imagination. Tomeo let the two siblings spend a while there, and while Yori scurried around curiously, Touya just sat and watched. He didn't say anything, he hadn't said much in a while, but he seemed distracted in a positive way. Tomeo breathed a sigh at the sight. Perhaps the boy would get better now. It wasn't a fast process, but slowly, Touya began overcoming his shock. He always came back more alert, a brighter look in his eyes after spending a bit of time with Yori or Tomeo in the clearing. He felt as though his parents were there, which made him feel better. The black sparkling at the base of a tree was mesmerizing as well.

Before long, Tomeo said it was time to let the now healthy Eevee go. Touya and Yori had grown attached to the little creature, but they knew it was for the best. Touya in particular though, had grown close to the Eevee. After all, they'd already been through quite the ordeal together. The night before they were going to let it return to the forest, Touya slipped out in the moonlight with it, wandering to the familiar place with the warm and sparkly glow that made him feel so safe. He'd been steadily returning to his usual self, but in here, he was quiet and pensive. Sitting in front of a patch of sparkles, Touya looked up at the clear moon in the sky. He let his mind wander a bit, going back to days after the incident. At one point, while trying to ignore the sting in his burns and the pain in his heart, he recalled saying he didn't ever want to become a ranger. But now, with the clear moon above and a soft wind, he knew that wasn't going to happen ever. "Mama, Papa... you're up there watching me right?" Touya murmured, as the little Eevee sat solemnly beside him, it's gaze on the moon as well. He sat on his knees, resting a hand on the glittering stones, his eyes never leaving the moon. "I promise I'll become a ranger, just like you. I swear it, so watch me, alright?!" The little Eevee padded up to Touya, a look of agreement on it's face. Despite everything, Touya's passion to become a ranger like his parents was still there; it shone even more brightly. He wouldn't let himself give up. He'd do it for his parents, and he'd show them his strength. The strength people didn't think he had.

The next day, as planned, Touya and his guardian and Yori headed out to that same clearing in the early morning to bid the now cured Eevee farewell. Touya patted the little creature, giving it a nod. "We'll both get strong, and see our dreams." He said softly, before straightening and backing off to Tomeo. The Eevee seemed to understand everything Touya had said, and after saying their good-byes, it dashed off into the brush.

This was the beginnings of Touya's career, following his parents' footsteps, and he strove confidently to do his best. He was assigned to his hometown, just like his parents had been. He was quite happy that Tomeo was there to assist him when needed, for now that Touya was a part of the rangers, he would be working with his guardian. It was great, the boy was complimented on his skills and way with pokemon and people, and how he was just like his father, or just like his mother. He loved these compliments, for it made him feel as though he was really doing good. Tomeo was very proud of him, and it made Touya feel all the more good. He and his partner were doing pretty well! But... for some reason, Touya felt as though he could do more. His partner seemed to feel the same. Slowly, Touya slipped into his thoughts more frequently. He wished to do more, to show his parents up above how good he was doing so they'd be happy. It was with these thoughts that one day, Touya and his Umbreon fell asleep curled up on a couch in Tomeo's living room.

That night, with his Umbreon asleep atop his chest, Touya had a dream. A clearing, just like the one on the outskirts of town that he frequented so often, with a lake in the distance. Touya walked, not at all surprised that his partner walked beside him. Just when the young ranger thought he would never find the end, a pokemon away. It was surprising at first, but Touya's doubts were soon quelled by the realization that it was Cresselia whom he was in the presence of. He was stunned at what the creature told him, how he would along with a few others help save the world. Take the legendary of all pokemon from their homes to save them? This was it. The thing he'd been searching for, that would make his parents unbelievably happy up there in the sky. Saving the world... they'd be proud. Of course, from an outsider's point of view, this was quite literally something that a ranger would never do. But Touya felt that Cresselia spoke the truth. Whatever damage would come from not taking the Legenderaries to a save haven would be worse. He raised his head, his mouth open in mid sentence to speak with the pokemon, when his dream world crackled out of existence. With a start, Touya sat up, awake, his partner alert as well. This was it. For a moment, Touya felt unsure. This meant leaving Tomeo and Yori, and who knew what they'd think. That sentiment was squashed by the boy's strong will though. No hesitation! This would make his parents swell with pride, and he'd be helping so many people and pokemon. In a reckless sense, Touya snuck up to his room, searching for things to take and packing them into a messenger bag. Clothing, all his ranger things, money, food; essentials. Leaving the bag with his partner, Touya peeked into Tomeo's room, then Yori's one last time, before sneaking back downstairs and scrawling a quick note; he was going on a trip, don't worry. They took a brief detour at the clearing, where Touya told his parents of his plan. "Keep on watching me, Mama, Papa." He said strongly, hoisting the bag firmly onto his shoulder. "I'll make you prouder than ever." With that, he and his Umbreon left without looking back.

But through his strong persistance, they soon made it, and the ranger bases around the areas were happy to give him a place to rest, if only for him to leave early in the morning. Upon arriving to Lightning Island, Touya and his partner met up with what would be the rest of their team. A variety of people, though Touya was adamant to pull his weight and do his best. Touya indeed carries a confidence about himself. To some, it may seem as though he has a bit too much confidence though! But while he has no intention of coming off as a jerk, filled to the brim with self-satisfaction, it is a possibility. In truth, Touya is the type who wants to do as much as he can for others as possible. Because of that, he can at times seem as though he thinks he can handle and do everything by himself. It's not a lie that Touya is something confident in his abilities, but that's because he's worked so hard to gain the skills that he has. He believes he can do whatever he wants, as long as he puts effort into it, and so far, this way of thinking has served him well. The downfall of this is though, that other than Maaru, Touya doesn't necessarily think he needs anymore help. He's likely to go off on his own rather than ask for help. After all, a hero does things by themselves, right? Of course they do! He enjoys compliments and thanks, but not in a conceited way. The gratitude of others serve to boost his confidence all the more. And anyways, who doesn't like getting compliments?

Unfortunately, while Touya is quite smart, he is also a bit reckless. It's not that he's impatient per se, but instead, Touya is more of one for movement. Actions speak louder than words. In fact, he won't hesitate to jump into a fray himself, and he most certainly will though it's very foolhardy. There has definitely been more than one occurrence where Touya has sprung to action without hesitation. While it is a good trait, as it shows he is well suited to fast-paced and reaction-necessary situations, it can be a little troublesome when it comes to working together with others. It's not that Touya thinks he can handle anything and everything with his own strength, but he's just a little more hot-headed than others when it comes to getting things done. There have been quite a few times when Tomeo has had to hold Touya back, or the young ranger would have undoubtedly delved into trouble. Which is something to note as well, because if someone doesn't keep him in check, Touya can get into a lot of trouble by himself.

Despite the fact that Touya tends to think of others a lot, he contrarily doesn't think too much of himself. He's reckless, simply put. This ranger tends to ... 'ignore' the consequences and potential dangers to himself, so long as the end result will be someone else's happiness. Again, that's what a hero is right!

It is nothing strange to find the young ranger looking up at the sky, especially at night, when he feels like his parents are closer than ever. He does have a tendency to lose himself in thoughts, but when it comes to returning to earth and staying focused, he's there one hundred percent. Touya has an upbeat attitude, and a hopeful personality. There is no way one could mistake him for an introvert! He doesn't believe in just thinking there's only bad, and he'll strive stubbornly to prove it so for others no matter what. He's the type that believes that all it takes to make something better, to help out, is for one person to try, no matter how little their efforts may seem at first. He's an optimist, without a doubt, thinking of the good aspects of a situation despite all roadblocks. No matter what others say, Touya is and forever will be 'impractical' in the sense of his dreams. So what if it seems impossible? One never knows if they don't try, and with his confidence, Touya will definitely try.

The styler, after all, is merely a method of amplifying those thoughts and feelings. Touya is definitely a friendly person. He isn't at all difficult to get along with, and he's very easy to talk to. At first glance, one may think him to be the type of person that is arrogant, but despite his somewhat outgoing nature, he's anything but that. In fact, Touya is someone one wouldn't feel uncomfortable telling their problems to, and they can rest assured that he will try and do his best to help out. He's quite extroverted, and while he is open, he's not loud or annoying. Instead, it's more easy to describe him as one that anyone can start a conversation with, someone that you can joke around with comfortable. Of course, Touya isn't always as light-hearted as he may make himself seem, but he'll always put on a smile or grin for others. He doesn't like seeing others down, and he's quite caring. A good friend really.
