I've been told I am sarcastic, eccentric, and kind of an a**.

I guess I could sort of be considered a loner in that I really don't put myself out there to get to know people anymore. I used to be a really talkative and openly friendly guy, but things in my past, foul relationships and the like, have turned me off from contact with the rest of the human race.

I tend to get a biting edge of sarcasm to everything I say when I'm in a bad mood, and lately I'm in a bad mood more often than I'm in a good one. It is possible to find me at peace and willing to socialize though, when I've had some time to myself and a chance to collect my thoughts after a long day. I don't like to put myself out there among the people, but I won't shy away from talking to you if you come to me first.

There are times when I go absolutely quiet for hours on end, even in a room full of people socializing and having a good time. I'll sink into my thoughts or into a book or puzzle. I guess people call that introspective or something like that, but I'm not quite sure. I just have a pattern in the way my mind works and it fits for me, but sometimes it requires me to shut out the rest of the world.

There is, however, still a little bit of the old me in me somewhere. I'd been known to get loud and rambunctious a few years back and I wasn't afraid to take risks. Now, I'm a bit more calculated about damn near everything I do, but I'll still sink into that fun-loving kid I used to be every once in a while. I can honestly change moods at the drop of a hat.

I have this habit of blocking out the world when I'm in the middle of a thought, chewing my left thumb when I'm nervous, running my hands through my hair and tapping my foot a lot.

Make me smile?

✔ Music ⊱ Anything from classical to modern rock. It helps me think and makes me smile. Music makes the world go 'round.
✔ Books ⊱ A good novel can cause the reader to lose himself amongst the characters and he won't emerge until the very last page.
✔ Chinese food ⊱ Egg rolls and sweet and sour pork. Need I say more?
✔ Origami ⊱ It's a calming experience. I don't know how I got on it, but I like it.
✔ Puzzles ⊱ Anything to keep the brain moving.
✔ The beach ⊱ Sometimes going to the beach can remind me of the beauty of nature and that there is still some good in the world, somewhere out there.

But take these away, first!

✗ Little yapping dogs ⊱ A great comedian once said, "anything that I can punt across my backyard is not a dog."
✗ Sleeping ⊱ More like that moment between sleep and waking up where you're not quite sure if you've been truly experiencing anything or if you're about to start dreaming.
✗ Camping ⊱ Just because I like nature doesn't mean I want to be IN it and piss in a bush or get mauled by a bear.
✗ Tourists who wear cameras around their necks ⊱ And then they ask me to "take a picture of me and the missus" in front of a Goddamn light post. What page in your scrapbook is that going on? Dumbassery 101?
✗ Door-to-Door Religious zealots ⊱ I have absolutely nothing to say for this. These people should all be burned.
✗ Static ⊱ It ******** up my hair, okay?

Face my fears..?

ჯ Airplanes ⊱ It could be taken as a general fear of heights and flying, but airplanes specifically just give me the creeps.
ჯ Clowns ⊱ Permanently smiling minstrels of death...
ჯ Sleep ⊱ I explained this already. I can't tell if I'm awake or asleep or what's real or not real half the time. I only sleep when it's absolutely necessary, and I never like it.

☾ Good listener ⊱ Sometimes all you need is a shoulder to cry on.

☾ Cautious ⊱ I think things through, which helps me to not make so many mistakes, and that means less tries!

Oh I might have forgotten to mention… I have three tattoos, two on my back and one on my shoulder. On my back is the symbol for Scorpio, because I am one. There is also an elemental peace sign, which has its own back story along with the stitched heart on my shoulder from a happier time. Sometimes, I regret the last two tattoos.
