Captain my captain! will do!

What's the point in having a time limit if the fish are all just gonna quit early?

Yep, the situation is getting worse & worse. ALL the games I've played for about 15-20 minutes have been short-changed ones.

BTW, I've got my aquarium on my Profile, if you want to play it there. All my accounts do, including Oscar & Whatsit who stand at the top of my Profile.

The "time limit" (or clock count-down) acts as a moderating device for the game, and if the player can add time power-ups, the game-play is extended slightly. The reverse is also true if the player adds a clock power-down in the basket.

Interestingly enough, I have been experiencing enough lag that I can still hear the tingle-sound of gold being collected in my basket, even though the game is often over.

I understand it's purpose, but all but maybe 2 or 3 games that I've played have ended with time still on the clock because all the fish decided to stop playing and turn dark, regardless of the time extending power ups.

ALL the games are way messed up now. I'm getting about 5-10 seconds of play now. gonk

EDIT: A bunch of them seem to automatically stop the second I hit 10 gold!
Anybody else seeing that?

Kitsune, this response (above) to my comment is a more accurate account of how you are experiencing the gameplay. You have pinpointed a potential glitch that needs investigation:

Noted: Time still on the clock, but you are not receiving awarded time extending power-ups, and the game ends early, so the game and timer are not in sync.

Yeah, I've been ending with 10 gold a lot. It seems like the games last longer when they have types of fish that aren't cuttlefish playing. All the cuttlefish seem to stop playing in the first ten seconds. Maybe the fish happiness is involved somehow?

I just played a game and received 31 gold. The game stopped after I got cornered by a red clock power-down. But I intend to pay attention to this *10 gold glitch factor*, Eirwyn.

I just now experienced the ten gold thing. It did involve cuttlefish... However it might also be a cut off mechanism like with posting and polling.

I'm a Mome. Ask me how! Also: I bite.
It shouldn't stop the game though. That isn't right. People are gonna have a cow if this isn't explained--if they MEAN it to be so.
I was getting 50-150 g. on average to start, & despite being better at the game, I now make 5-10 gold most times because the clock doesn't run down.

Thanks for my smokes back.
I gotta go now--the library closes soon. I need to clean off the private data before I go.
Maybe I'll try to get back in at home--but on my dial-up, I suspect I'll be reporting massive lag issues that would keep me out of the open forums if everyone had aquarium sigs out there.
And you know, the dern things STILL cover posts below when the person has too much above the tank in their sig, which also annoys me in the open forums....
