It is currently the middle of March, and that means Spring Break for the students of Jade Stone Academy, a very prestigious school in South Korea designed for the rich and the famous. As a treat for the students' hard work, the staff have booked a fun, two-weeks long cruise on the Royal Diamond so students can bond and enjoy a good time with one another. Now, it is not mandatory to go, so if you don't want to go, you don't have to. But you will miss out on two weeks of fun, adventure, excitement, drama, and romance that may blossom over the course of the event.

Yes, I'm typing this in paragraph format. Don't like it? Then find another RP to join. Anyway, this is a literate roleplay. For that, I want two paragraphs minimum. It shouldn't be that hard to write a paragraph. I have writers' block from time to time, and yet I'm still able to spit out two paragraphs. A paragraph is five to seven sentences (or more, but it should be less than twenty sentences. After all, have you ever read a book where a paragraph consisted of twenty periods?) and three or more lines. So don't give me five short sentences that end up as a one liner and pass it off as a paragraph. NO! The maximum number of paragraphs you can do, if you're one of those advanced-literate RPers, is ten paragraphs. I appreciate your skills and hard work, but we do need to put a limit on that.

While we're on the subject of literacy, please use correct spelling and grammar. If you have Firefox, take advantage of spellcheck! It is your friend! Learn the differences between they're/there/their and you're/your. You have no idea how annoyed I get when those terms are used in the wrong context. They're is a contraction of "they are"; there is a location word, as in "he went over there"; and their indicates possession: that ball belongs to their neighbor". Know when to capitalize and use punctuation as well! Use "text" for speaking, italics for thoughts, and underline for texting. Do not use *action* for actions. If you have anything out of character to say, use [ ] { } ( ), but I'd prefer it if you post it in the OOC thread unless it's something quick and short like "gotta go now".

This is a PG-16 rated RP, so please, refrain yourselves from cybering. If there is a little something going on between your characters, do a time skip. However, romance is encouraged. After all, what's a RP without a little lovey-dovey here and there? You can also throw in yaoi/yuri if you'd like. I don't like them, but I'm not going to reject your application if your character likes someone of the same gender. I'm not that close-minded. I also expect some drama from this RP as well. Not everyone can be positive and happy-go-lucky all the time. Make us laugh, make us cry, make us feel like we're there.

Second of all, this is a normal RP. Do not, under any circumstances, send me in profiles of vampire/nekomimi/angels/demons/fairies/witches/etc. characters. They are automatically rejected. I want to draw away from the mystical creatures roleplays that's clogging up Barton Towns. Only humans are allowed. And when I say humans, I mean FULL humans.

Profiles! Some love them, some hate them. If you have RP'ed before, you know the drill. Fill out the skeletons and send them to me titled Drifting on the Ocean Blue. If you haven't RP'ed before...well, I just stated what to do. Don't change my profile skeletons around, please. I worked plenty hard on them, and I do not want to see my good work ruined. For character pictures, I don't care if it's anime or real life, but please no Myspace-esque photos if you're going for real life photos. I'd greatly appreciate it if you could use professional photos. Your biography and personality must be a paragraph. Again, a paragraph is 5-7 sentences and 3 or more lines.

Play fair with others. I don't want any hard feelings between the roleplayers. If it continues, then I'm going to have to ask you to step out of the RP. Don't argue with me---I'm the queen of this RP, so I can do whatever I want (except defy the rules of RPing like no godmodding and Mary Sueing. The RP Gods have not lent me that power yet xD). Also, no godmodding, no Mary-Sues/Gary-Stus, and no killing each other without the other's consent. I don't want any excessive gore, either. Keep the violence to a minimum. I don't want to read five parapraphs of a character picking at his scabs. Ew! Finally, have fun!

**Rules may change over the course of time.

In-RP Rules:
1. Don't treat the crewmembers like servants. They're people, for crying out loud. Don't be so rude as to make them wait on you hand and foot all the time.
2. Do not cut in lines for anything.
3. Don't push or shove others
4. Be on your best behaviour. Okay, you don't have to be a goody-two-shoes, but don't do anything that can get you kicked off the boat when it temporarily stops at a destination.
5. If people are sleeping, they're sleeping. If someone's sleeping in the next cabin over and you're blaring your music at full volume, that person's not going to be a happy camper.
6. No violence beyond fists. Then the cruise staff will have to call security. Alright, so security will be called when there's fighting present, but anything past fist-fighting would result in a ban from the cruise.
7. Since this is a school-organized trip, be sure to follow basic school rules as well.

The Royal Diamond has plenty of features to it. First off, why don't you check into your room and get settled down a bit? Then, if you're feeling up for some relaxation and recreation, you can hit it up at the open-air pool, which is located on top of the cruise deck. There's also a nice onsen/ hot spring if you want to really relax and release all tension from your muscles. Along with that, it has a bowling alley and a karaoke room as well. Feeling hungry? You can always select from the many restaurants we have on board, from Japanese-style restaurants, Chinese-style restaurants, Western-style restaurants, Korean-style restaurant and buffets. For all you girls and shopping lovers out there, we have a large shopping district on board the cruise ship for you to spend your credit cards on! Within that shopping district are over 50 stores. Isn't that awesome?

But that's not all that the cruise ship offers. We have a wide range of entertainment for you, a kiddie's lounge for young kids to roam around in while the parents are relaxing, activities such as rope-climbing, fitness workouts, games, and more. It's almost impossible to be bored, unless you're one of those sour people who can't enjoy anything.
