Upon entering the room my senses were flooded, I felt like I shouldn’t be here that something wanted me out. I could feel energy, and it wasn’t happy. I should explain something about me shouldn’t I? While I am not a psychic or someone that can tell you what happened by touching an object, I can pick up on the energy left behind, that is as long as it’s strong enough. An odd talent I have…well I suppose it’s a talent. The air felt heavy and I wanted to sit down but I knew I had to keep going. My mind told me not to go any farther into the little fireplace room, but I ignored it, I had to get my story. I moved my flashlight to illuminate a suit of armor in the corner, I jumped not expecting it. Once my heart calmed some I turned and let my flashlights light wash over the small objects that lay from the past.
As I walked the floors creaked and groaned under me. Praying for me to hurry, for the old wood couldn’t handle the weight I owned because of the years of disrepair. I heard their requests and moved quickly hitting the foot of the stairs, a brief look around the room and I sighed inaudibly and let my heart pound against my ribcage for a moment before I moved once more. One foot then another, until I was up the stairs, the smell of dust was heavy in the air, and I swore the light sent of blood was there too.
My flashlight dimly lighting the area around me, how I wished my flashlight was brighter. I swore I heard something and I nearly jumped again, god I was a man wasn’t I? Things like this shouldn’t scare me. As soon as my feet hit the flat ground of the second floor I looked behind me a habit I had, call it paranoia but I had it none the less. My light barely lighting the ground floor, I shivered and turned to face the new floor once again. My movements slow and deliberate, if something were to happen I wanted time to think of a solution to the problem it would cause.
I walked passed a small partition like object and shivered I felt like someone was watching me, then again I had felt like that since I walked into this mansion. I found a door by the partition and wiggled the handle, it was locked, but I could almost swear I heard someone in there; this house was just full of tricks wasn’t it? I moved again, walking slowly I thought I heard another noise. I then moved towards another opening, as I made it into the new little room I brushed the area with my flashlight before entering all the way in, my light hit onto a doll, and then traveled, I almost jumped again, I took a sharp intake of air and stepped back, there stood a woman with a camera. “Uh…Hello…I am sorry if I startled you….well…uh..oh forgive me I am Koji Tashi.” I decided to offer my name to the woman. But I think she had scared me then I did to her, I had thought I was alone in the mansion, but apparently I was wrong.
I sat and waited for an answer, I assumed she would give me an answer, but then again, she may have been a figment of my imagination, if she was…then why was she still there, if I closed my eyes and stood for a minute would she still be there? These thoughts loomed in my head, nagging at me to answer them and answer them well.
