Ages ago, there was a time when dragons ruled the lands with power and wealth, controlling every aspect of their lands. Humans were slaves to these royal beasts, building monuments, buildings, statues and serving by the dragon’s side, like a loyal dog. No one questioned, nor dared, to stand up against the dragons. It seemed that that’s how things were, until one brave soul decided to pick up a sword and fight for his freedom. Soon other people followed his revolution, trying to over throwing the dragons and their reign of glory and slavery. This brave soul’s name was Maverick Casita.

But the battle for freedom wasn’t easy, many humans and dragons alike lost their lives in the heavy struggle for power and freedom. The humans grew stronger and stronger with each battle fought on the dragon’s land. Suddenly, a human mage, named Navix Ira found a way to get rid of the dragons forever, by sending them to another world, far beyond their own. With the help of Maverick, Navix was able to forge an emblem called the Fire Emblem, to open up a portal to banish the dragons forever. To everyone’s surprise, the dragons were taken down and thrown into banishment.

“We’ll be back, humans. In the mean time, enjoy your pathetic life. Enjoy what we, dragons, built for you. Because we’ll be back to regain what you have stolen from us: Our kingdom and our lives.”

The last dragon thrown into the portal spoke those words just before the portal closed. Both Maverick and Navix took this warning to heart. To protect the seal from breaking, Navix placed a special spell on the Fire Emblem, hoping that it was enough to hold the portal closed.

A few days passed since the dragons were banished and the human race saw that they were coming into an age of power and dominance. Maverick Casita was dubbed king of the new land and Navix Ira became the guardian of the Fire Emblem and the portal that sealed the dragons. Years of wealth and prosperity soon followed the human’s reign.

Many centuries have passed since the human’s past with the ancient dragons, soon the story of Maverick and Navix became a mere legend, a myth. Shortly, the human race forgot about their freedom fighting past and moved on, as a result, the humans are repeating their past by enslaving the Laguz, a breed of half humans and half beast, to work and build monuments for them, just as the dragons did to them many centuries ago.

As a result, they forgot about the portal, whose seal soon started to weaken, letting a few dragons seep back into their lands. Thinking that the dragons roaming the lands, destroying the human’s homes, crops and families are the result of the Dragon Laguz fighting back, the humans started to kill off the innocent Dragon Laguz. The freed dragons are now planning against the human race, taking their revenge to get their noble lands back by raging a huge war amongst the humans and the Laguz.

Now a reincarnation of Maverick Casita and Navix Ira, along with a small group of mercenaries and Laguz, are out to fulfill their destinies: To stop the real dragons from taking over the land and stop the war between the Laguz and humans. Will they succeed? Will they fail? Will the dragons regain their land?

This is a Semi-Lit to Literate RP, which means, I want at least 1 to 2 paragraphs minimum. As for the maximum, I could care less how long your post is, just as long as it's related to the thread/plot. No chatspeaking, please. I want thoughts and speech in quotation marks and/or italicized and/or bolded. Please refrain from beeing 'noobish', do that in the OOC thread. Writer's block is horrible. I know. But even then, you should be able to post one decent paragraph.

Although this is a war-based thread, there can be romance, just make sure that your character and yourself dont go over board. AKA, no cybering. No one wants to read that. For violence, it's the same thing. There can be blood, just not so much of it. If you killed the person, then, okay. It's done, and over with. Dont go into a long spheel how you drove a knife into the enemy and pulled out their still beating heart... Yeah, you get it right? [Dont forget to follow Gaia's ToS.]
