                                SEXUAL ORIENTATION : Pansexual
PERSONALITY : Ken, in all honesty, is often perceived as a p***k. He tends to ruin the fun others are having by inserting himself into whatever it is they're doing - whether it be a conversation, a party or what have you. Besides ruining the fun, he's known for trying to create it. He tries to be funny and get laughs out of others, though his jokes are more often than not described as insults. His jokes, for the most part, always go too far. He loves to be the center of attention and will do whatever it takes for everyone to focus on him. Ken is also perceived as lazy. In class, he either sleeps or refuses to participate in whatever is going on. He doesn't like putting forth effort, especially when it comes to things he's not interested in. He can act a bit sweeter when he wants something from someone, or if he's interested in dating someone, but he usually gives up the act as soon as he possibly can. He's also notorious for being a bit of an idiot and doing stupid stunts. In conclusion, he's nothing but trouble.
BIOGRAPHY : Ken was raised in a rather ‘good’ home. His family was financially stable due to his parents careers. They always had extra money, which they used to either play stocks or buy toys or gadgets for their kids. His parents were loving. His siblings were kind. Even so, Ken couldn’t really describe his time growing up as ‘good.’ His parents lacked the time to properly care for and love their children. They were often busy with work and the children were cared for by an au pair. But that didn’t mean that his parents didn’t participate in raising them. By the time one of their children was old enough to talk, walk and fend for themselves, they would be pushed to the back and the youngest child would receive all the attention. When his younger sister was born, Ken was pushed aside and was predominantly raised by his two older siblings and the au pair.

Being the third child out of five, Ken showed signs of middle child syndrome. He acted out to get attention from his family and siblings, but was often ignored or forgotten. His parents were far too busy handling his younger siblings, and his older siblings were far too busy with their own lives.

That was when Ken started distancing himself from his family. He didn’t feel like he had a role in the family. He began to define himself as a person, though the choices he made weren’t all good. Ken started hanging out with thugs and delinquents. He never got into fights and mostly skipped classes to go smoke or chill at their favorite hangout spots. Unfortunately, his behavior was often reported to his parents by the school. His parents were far too busy to reprimand him and simply apologized to his schools. Often, they donated to his schools to ensure his position there.

A little after Ken turned sixteen, his parents divorced. After twenty years together, they both came to the conclusion that they weren’t really happy together anymore. They still loved their kids, of course, and gave them a chance to pick who they would be living with. His older siblings moved out and got their own places closer to their universities. His younger siblings stayed with his father but still wanted to see their mother and commute back and forth. When Ken was asked what he’d like to do, he asked to be alone. He wasn’t necessarily mad at them, but he didn’t feel any real attachment to either parent and preferred to continue distancing himself. They bought him an apartment and pay for his bills, as well as send cash for food and other necessities. His siblings visit often and usually ask why he hasn’t dropped by any of their homes, including his parents’.
DID YOU KNOW? : Ken can't stand sweets. He also frequents the Host Club whenever possible in an attempt to steal their thunder. It usually doesn't work. He still hangs out with some of his delinquent friends, but he doesn't get into fights or anything. Just misbehaves.

                      • I’ll bet they fetch 1,000 yen* a piece,” The young man muttered to himself with a rather tired laugh. It’d be hilarious if that did in fact happen, though Kenji Kimura doubted it would. Depending on how popular each host was, there was a fairly high chance that this bidding war would end up being ridiculous. But who would put money down just to kiss some guy? And what kind of kiss was it? Buyer’s choice? Did that even include tongue?

Shoving his hands into his pockets, he headed down the halls, following the sounds of excited teenage girls. He’d heard that the Black Magic Club was also up to something, too, but he wasn’t sure what it was. Knowing them, it would be something freaky as hell. It’d be much more amusing then some hosts kissing a bunch of giggling girls who loved to waste money.

But that thought didn’t make him change his mind. Ken, being his delightful and social self, had already made his way to where they had stationed the bidding for Hosts. In all honesty, he had no intention of placing a bid, but it could happen. Anything could. And, even if he lost, it’d earn him a rather large amount of attention from the student body and perhaps steal some of the Host Club’s spotlight.

Since tonight was a special occasion, he had dawned a somewhat dressier suit. Nothing special, just something a little more formal. Despite how suave it was meant to look, he had torn the outfit up, splattered fake blood on it and smeared dirt all over it. He was lazily made up to look like a zombie, though he looked more like a guy who was heading home from an opera and got mugged. The only real details that were meant to make him look like a zombie was the green contouring on his cheeks and black eye shadow he used to make his eyes look sunken in. Ken’s ensemble truly did look like it was thrown together at the last minute.

On his way inside the busy dance hall, he bobbed his head near a group of girls he passed and let out a quick, loud snarl before jogging deeper into the room. Well, as deep as he could go. The room was definitely crowded. Peering over the crowd as best as he could, he searched for any of the hosts. He wasn’t entirely sure if the event had started yet or not, though he was sure that he would be able to tell if and when it did, based on the numbers that would be called out.

                        Ughhh. It’s so crowded,
” the teen groaned loudly, as if meaning to get someone’s – anyone’s – attention.

                                SEXUAL ORIENTATION : Aromatic
PERSONALITY : Minako is often perceived as a loner. She doesn’t socialize if she can help it and often removes herself from any and all situations that could possibly end in her actually communicating with someone. On top of her removed attitude, she is extremely immature. She loves to play pranks and freak people out by saying odd things. She thrives on how uncomfortable she can make people. In a way, she uses this as defense mechanism to keep people away. She purposefully makes herself unapproachable, though she is really a sweet and thoughtful individual. Unfortunately, she is extremely sarcastic and crude and has a hard time showing people that she really cares. She is somewhat emotionally infantile and uses the word “whatever” to display a complex array of emotions.
BIOGRAPHY : Minako, as hard as it is to believe, was raised by a loving family. Perhaps a little too loving. Her parents, an accountant and writer, always found the time to spend with their two darling daughters. Minako is the older of the two, though she doesn’t act it. Her parents have disciplined her well and, despite her odd behavior, loved her unconditionally.
At a young age, it was clear that Minako wasn’t socially inclined. She often got in trouble for scaring her classmates or being mean to them. Her parents and teachers were fairly concerned, at least until they found out why she wasn’t interested in people. She definitely knew the benefits of having friends and associates, but stopped putting forth effort at the age of nine. This was mostly due to her grandmother coddling her. Minako wanted friends who were fun and interesting and had amazing stories to tell like her grandmother. She told stories of romance, horror, mystery – everything under the sun. Minako couldn’t see herself being friends with anyone who didn’t captivate her like her grandmother did.
Her love for the occult sprung from a somewhat intense moment in her childhood. After her grandmother had passed away, Minako was convinced that she had seen her ghost in their home. It had actually just been a curtain blowing in the wind, though no one had opened the shutters and the wind hadn’t been strong enough to force them open. Ghost or no ghost, Minako believed it was her grandmother and the experience sparked her interest in dark magic, demonology and spirits.
DID YOU KNOW? : She's not a huge fan of bugs but she'd rather save them than let them get killed. Her specialty in the BMC is dealing with spirits.

Ughhhh,” she moaned, frustrated. The hedge maze, according to Minako Kurokawa, didn’t live up to her standards. The hired zombies were amateurs. They acted as if jumping out was the only way to send people screaming and scrambling in all directions. With some people, their method worked well enough. But with her, it was nothing but child’s play. Had they paid attention to a horror film in their entire life, they’d now there’s a proper set up. They had to instill fear into them a little at a time, make them think there was something there when there wasn’t. Create a fear based solely on the person’s mentality, making them think that they’re simply crazy. They had to create a build up to the reveal, where they would either come at the person fast and hard, or slow and painfully, dragging it on in hopes of driving them up a wall. Thus far, a few zombies had popped out of bushes, trying to grab at her or shove her. And each time she was face to face with them, that same deadpan, unamused look on her face. Even after seeing that look, they’d still try to scare her by screaming or howling right in her face. If they did, she’d shove them right back into the bush, hard enough to force them out the other side of the hedge.

As she continued through the maze, lazily navigating her way through, a light in one of the hedge’s caught her attention. As soon as she paused to look, the light went off. Minako had to stop herself from rolling her eyes, for fear that they’d eventually roll out of her head at this rate.

I can see you,” She growled at the bush, only to receive silence. Whoever was inside was trying to remain still and quiet, but the long she lingered, the more unsteady the person inside grew. For a moment, when the bush rustled, she was unsure as to what side they would erupt from. And, just like she expected, they attempted to come through where she was in one final attempt to scare her. As they did, she grabbed at their shoulders and began to push them back through.

M-Mina, stop! Stop! I’m gonna fall!” A voice cried and she looked up at the person’s face just before releasing them completely. The person did fall, though, right at her feet. She laughed loudly as she realized who it was.

God, Yoshi, you suck at this. I thought you’d at least be better than the others.” Yoshi, a boy with brown hair, looked up at her, teary eyed. “Oh, shut up. I was trying,” He admitted as he stood, dusting his clothes off. He was a make-shift zombie, wearing torn up clothing spattered with blood and grime.

Yeah, uh-huh. I saw your phone’s light.” She pointed at his pocket, which had lit up again and quietly pinged as a text message came through. He sighed, dug through his pocket and bought the phone out to where they could both see it.

Seriously? What are you, a bat?

                      Bats use echolocation, ya’ dummy.

S-Shut up,” Yoshi commanded, embarrassed, and turned his phone off, shoving it back into his pocket. At the sound of more teenagers, Minako hushed him and forced him back into the hedge, this time following him in.

I’ll show you how it’s done and then we can hit up a burger place,” She whispered, peering out through the cracks in the hedge. She could see a few figures coming closer. One of them looked like a first year, scared out of her mind. She’d be easy. The other two, though, would be a challenge. They were laughing their asses off, mostly at the first year that was with them.

But, Mina, you’ve gotta stay for the behead—

Rahhhh!” The girl snarled as she launched herself out of the bush, straight at the older kids. One of them yelped and dragged the other away from her, while the first year sprinted far ahead of the group. The struggled to catch up, but they were soon on the first year’s tail. A delighted, evil laugh escaped her, sending chills through Yoshi as he crawled out of the bush. “M-Mina, cut it out,” He whimpered and she silenced her laughter with her hand, her eyes lit up with glee.

                                SEXUAL ORIENTATION : Biromantic
PERSONALITY : Hibiki is an honest and gentle soul, yet he is confused about himself and his future. On the inside, he is often a mess, and doesn’t know what to do or what to feel. He has a rather generous nature, and is the kind of guy who would take the shirt off his back if someone needed it. This causes people to either like him a whole lot or not at all. With generosity comes friendship, and anyone who Hibiki meets usually becomes a good pal of his. He is quite the romantic, and has decided he falls for people too easily. So, instead of confessing, he waits it out, and the feeling usually vanishes.
BIOGRAPHY : Having lived for thirty-four years, Hibiki has lived for quite some time. He’s had the time to experience all sorts of things. Unfortunately, some of these things occurred earlier on in life. But, instead of jading him, he learned from them and didn’t allow that knowledge to break him.

When he was about four years old, his parents divorced. His mother often disappeared for months at a time, returning only to collect some cash from her husband. After some time, it was evident that his mother had been cheating. Even so, his father couldn’t bring himself to remove her from his son’s life. At least until Hibiki broke a glass and she smashed his hand on top of it as punishment. Hibiki hasn’t heard from her ever since the divorce and honestly doesn’t miss or even know her.

Unfortunately, as a child, Hibiki also experienced the permanence of death. One of his dear friends, a girl named Emi who lived on his street, was killed in a hit and run. He had been too shocked to process just what had happened, but soon came to terms with it. However, that experience caused him to shy away from relationships for some time. So through most of his schooling, he was alone. It wasn’t until his last year of high school that he began to warm up to people. By the time he was in college, he had tons of university friends and a handful of girlfriends and boyfriends. None of those relationships continued for much longer, though.

DID YOU KNOW? : Hibiki will not stand for bullying or child abuse. If he believes a student may be experiencing any sort of abuse, he will report it after confronting the individual.

SEXUAL ORIENTATION : She honestly has no idea.
PERSONALITY : After the emotional damage Akemi suffered, she isn’t the same. Her personality has done what seems like a complete one-eighty. She took on a persona in order to keep herself from getting hurt again. Unfortunately, this persona is exactly like the girls who hurt her. In public, she’s crude, hostile and just plain mean. She picks on others, gossips about them and makes their lives hell. But Akemi doesn’t truly feel that way. She curses herself for putting them through this, but cares more for her own safety and security in school.

Akemi uses this mean-girl persona as a way to protect herself and keep herself from being put down. There are times when she loses face and reverts to her old, passive self. Those who have seen her true self never tell, mostly because she threatens them or offers them a deal. She prefers to keep up the image of being a jerk, even at the expense of having no real friends, than to revert to the sad girl she used to be.

She's become known for being horrible to people. She has yet to do anything as bad as he bullies had, but she does maintain the bad-girl image by picking a new victim every now and then.
BIOGRAPHY : At one time, Akemi had been like everyone else. Docile, kind and sweet. Her family had raised her to be a little angel and told her that if she treated others well, she too would be treated that way. But those pep-talks about being kind and respectful didn’t prepare her for the older girls at her middle school. At first, they just made fun of her. They would call her names. And, at first, Akemi thought she could handle it. She’d smile and be kind to them. But that only made it worse.

They began to gossip about her, and soon enough some rather unkind rumors began to spread. Not only were the other girls bullying her, but now most of her class was. Eventually, the bullying escalated to the next level. Students would throw eggs at her, push her in the hall and put tacks in her shoes. Some girls would even pull her hair.

Not long after it all began to escalate, Akemi sought help from the school. But they ignored her pleas because the parents of the kids who bullied her had a great influence over the staff. She tried to turn to her parents, but they were far too busy to deal with it. They turned her away with another one of their talks about being respectful and polite. Akemi took matters into her own hands and became just like her bullies, just like the monsters who had made her life a living hell.

When one of the girls tried to smash an egg into her hair, she worked it out of the girl’s hand and slammed it into her head before knocking the girl down and dragging her to the door by her hair. With that, the students left her alone. They stopped picking on her. That silence gave her power and she began to groom herself to be more like those girls. She practiced how to act, how to treat others and how to become one of the most feared girls at school. That meant being popular and leading those horrible groups of girls that he once tormented her.

When she entered high school, she kept the façade up. She’s become known for being a mean, preppy girl. This lost her quite a few friends, but she couldn’t let what happened happen again. The lies she made up slowly became her life.
DID YOU KNOW? : There are several rumors about Akemi being this super experienced, popular girl. Sure, she's popular, but she's never dated anyone before in her life.

                      Pick one already, Akemi-chan!

Mm… It’s hard to pick one. They’re all so…” Gag-inducing. Despite her cute, thoughtful tone, Akemi had no real interest in any of the hosts. Her supposed friends did, however, and their expectations had led her straight to the silent auction table. She had been there for a few moments, staring at each individual paper and bid while her the other girls ran straight to their favorite hosts’ pages. Akemi had often dropped by the host club and had been hosted by several of the hosts. However, not a single one had truly caught her attention. She thought of them as ladder-climbers like herself and honestly couldn’t condone their careless flirting.

Hmmm, how about him?” Her pointed a painted finger at one. There were plenty of bids, and by the length of the list, she doubted she’d win. The name at the top was Mitsu Okumura. Akemi honestly didn’t remember if she had been hosted by him yet and she didn’t really care. A few of the girls had disappointed looks on their faces.

Are you sure you want him? Why not someone a bit more fun?” The dark haired girl asked, a grin crossing her lips before she bit down on them, giving Akemi a wink. Another girl with shorter hair tied in pigtails scowled, knowing exactly who the girl had been referring to. A small, amused grin crossed Akemi’s lips, mirroring the deceitful look on the dark haired girl's face.

Liam it is, then,” She picked up one of the pens and scrawled down her name and a fairly decent bid. She didn’t top the last bid by much, purposefully wanting to be outbid. Akemi looked up from the page for a moment, just in time to catch the look of utter betrayal on the pig-tailed girl's face. For a fairly brief moment, Akemi felt awful. Then came the delight as the girl excused herself, digging her phone out to call home and probably ask for more cash.

Aww, poor baby can't handle losing,” She hushed to one of the other girls who proceeded to giggle in agreement.

Aaand I’ll go ahead and put some down on Mitsu, too.” This time, when she wrote down her name and bid, it was much higher. Higher than the last person’s bid.

Once she was done, she dismissed herself from her friends, insisting she needed a drink and that she would be right back. Of course, she wouldn't be coming back, but they probably didn't care. Those girls were as fake as their lashes. Dipping into the crowd, she headed toward the host’s area, thinking of sitting down and getting a quick session in. No one had complimented her costume yet – especially not her friends – and she could use a good pick-me-up.

As one of the many chaperons of the Halloween Gala, Hibiki Masa was performing his duties to protect the students from, well, themselves. For now, he had decided to scope out the halls. Students were allowed to use certain halls to get to and from different events. However, there were certain halls that were lazily blocked off, meant to deter students from entering distant parts of the impossibly large school. Despite these blockades, Hibiki was sure that students could enter. And, when he came upon a stack of items that had been knocked over, his suspicions were confirmed. Moving the items aside, he made his way down the dark hall.

The only light was from the window was from the full moon. Glancing out the window, he could see the courtyard below where the hedge maze was located. He couldn’t quite make out the lights inside the walls of the maze, though he could hear the distant, faint screams of students who came face to face with the hedge zombies. He wanted to laugh, though he was sure that he would be just as terrified if someone were to come upon him.

At the sound of something clattering to the ground, as if on cue, he jumped, nearly yowling in fear. The sound had come from a classroom to his right, which was ajar. A small sliver of moonlight shown through the crack, casting a line across the floor. He moved toward the door and slowly pried it open.

Hello? Anyone in there?” A sudden, shrill cry nearly scared him out of his skin. There was a young woman sitting on a boy’s lap at one of the desks, arms around his shoulders. The boy's arms were around her waist. Both were still fully clothed and clearly taken off guard. Luckily for Hibiki, they hadn’t made it any farther than making out. “No way, not in here. Out, out, out,” The literature teacher commanded, ushering them out of the room and into the hall. His voice had been rather even and strong, meant to be intimidating to the students. Though, in all honesty, he was embarrassed. He felt as if he had walked in on something extremely private and seen something he hadn't. He guided them back to the blockade and forced them through before blocking the area off again.

Seriously, had you gotten any further, you could be expelled. You don't want that, do you? Just 'cause there's a dance going on doesn't mean the rules don't apply anymore. Keep that stuff at home, okay? For your own sake. And tell your friends the halls are off limits,” Hibiki insisted and the two students nodded shamefully and agreed to spread the word.

"Do that and I'll pretend I didn't see anything," The teacher bribed quietly, though it was true - he hadn't seen a thing. They had only been making out, not having sex. They would get a slap on the wrist and that was about it.

Returning to the gala, the couple walking a few paces in front of him, he soon found himself idly making laps around the edges of the crowd. He spent his time politely asking couples to keep themselves at an approved distance, to behave and to have fun. In all honesty, he didn’t mind them getting close, so long as nothing got hot and heavy here. He’d have to split them and, honestly, he wasn’t sure how comfortable he’d be cutting in. But, considering what he’d found moments ago, he didn’t want to take the chance. It was his job to keep everyone and everything in order. It was their business if they wanted to go home and do whatever they pleased. But as long as they were here, they weren’t allowed to get too friendly with one another.

SEXUAL ORIENTATION : Whatever works for me. I'm not exactly sure what I'm into, but I'm pretty open minded.
PERSONALITY : Describing myself is actually kind of difficult for me. I don’t really feel like I’ve grown into myself yet. You know, like how you grow into shoes or clothes. I mean, my family would call me studious, of course. I’ve always had my head buried in a book – whether it was novel or workbook or textbook. So, yeah, I’m studious. But that’s not all that I am. I mean, I’m technically considered a genius, but do I want to be forever known as one? Not really. It has its ups, but… I don’t know.

I like to think of myself as funny, interesting and great to be around. Whether this is true or not, I don’t know. I have yet to fact check it, which is pretty unlike me. I try to be the funny guy and often find my jokes going over people’s heads. Even then, I just re-word it and it usually works. Or maybe they laugh ‘cause I’m kind of klutzy. Admittedly, my mind is always on other things, so I’ve fallen down steps, tripped in halls, run into desks – you name it. I like to be fun and friendly, mostly because I want friends and interaction and just something more interesting than boring old books. Not that books aren’t wonderful, but they can’t talk back.

My sisters say I’m a bit of an idiot. Not intelligence-wise, but I tend to do some stupid stuff. I often throw caution to the wind when I’ve got an idea. So, yeah, I may be an idiot. I’ve also been called naïve, though I never truly trust other people. Maybe that’s my fault? Is that why I’m an idiot? We’ll revisit that some other time.

Emotionally, I sometimes struggle to connect to others. Some people would say I’m infantile, but I disagree. I can empathize and sympathize just fine, but that doesn’t establish a friendship. Relationships are hard to come by because of that.
BIOGRAPHY : Since you want to hear my story, I assume you want to hear it from the beginning. But I'll have to start a little later than that in order for this to make sense. I was raised in a rather attentive family. I had a mother and father, as well as two older sisters. They gave me quite a bit of a attention - and it wasn't simply because they loved me. For a while, they were worried that something was wrong with me. They were afraid that I'd need extra help in order to get on in the world. I was having problems connecting to others, as well as doing my work at school. When they took me to a specialist, they were surprised by what they were told. I wasn't struggling at all. In fact, I was bored. I was way ahead of my classmates.

My parents solved this problem easily by giving me much more challenging work, making up tests and assignments to keep my interest. They kept me busy intellectually, but had yet to establish a real relationship with me. It was hard, I know. I was always caught up in whatever caught my interest. It was then that something rather interesting caught my attention – genetics. My parents, as well as my sisters, didn’t look like me. Or rather, I didn’t look like them. I investigated. Not long after, I had discovered adoption papers hidden away in my parents’ safe. When I approached them about it, they wanted to deny it, but they couldn’t. They knew lying wouldn’t work. I had already seen through it all.

They told me who my parents really were and why I was no longer with them. My mother had married a man of above-average intelligence. When she had passed soon after giving birth to me(she died of pneumonia), my father fell into a depression. They said that it was his knowledge that made it bad for him – he thought too much and couldn’t turn it off. I was taken away by child protective services and put up for adoption when my father committed suicide. This news was fairly shocking to me – terrifying, even. I was afraid that I’d end up like my dad. Instead of allowing this situation to distance me further from them, they made an effort and finally connected with me. They promised to keep me from becoming like that. They convinced me that I was different, that I would be okay. And I believed them. Still do.

After that, everything in my life started going a bit more smoothly. In order to maintain “being normal,” I opted out of taking advanced placement courses. I was also adamant about staying in the grade that corresponded with my age. Unfortunately, these courses didn’t offer much of a challenge. Neither did my peers, in all honesty. I kept myself busy by studying other subjects while at home. When I grew bored of simply studying, I began to read. I read fiction and it’s many genres. Mystery novels will always hold a special place in my heart. I wrote a little, too, but most of what I’ve written is buried away in my room, covered in endless revisions. Sometimes I revisit them, re-write and edit them.

At school, at least in the presence of others, I would dumb myself down. When I didn’t, people often lost interest in me or were intimidated by me. I began to focus on not only mental but physical exercises. However, just before I started high school, I couldn’t take it anymore and started acting like myself. I was tired of hiding my intelligence. I needed a challenge and at the time the sports I did weren’t engaging enough. Fortunately, this worked out in my favor. I’ve made plenty of friends. They understand my interests and like me for me. They don’t care if I’m “crazy smart.”

I still engage in club activities. I’m currently in five or so clubs and do some tutoring on the side. My family was very unsure about me taking on so many responsibilities, but I’ve been able to handle it thus far.
DID YOU KNOW? : I'm a whiz with computers and can dig up info and just about anyone. It's fun, but at the same time I feel like people give my wayyy too much power without realizing it. Because I'm really into murder mysteries, I find that I spend a lot of my time researching and such. I also joined the school newspaper so that I could spread some truth around. Unfortunately, there hasn't been much to report on(yet).
