When the vertebrae are articulated with each other the bodies form a strong pillar for the support of the head and trunk, and the vertebral foramina constitute a canal for the protection of the medulla spinalis, while between every pair of vertebrae are two apertures, the intervertebral foramina, one on either side, for the transmission of the spinal nerves and vessels. When digging into the vertebrae you must make a thin slice, in order to preserve both major parts of the piece of bone. Vadeem kept his glance focus solely on the scalpel in his hand, ignoring the trickle of blood making its way down his thumb as he sliced it clean open. He hadn’t meant to, but more often then not his fingers slipped and landed him with yet another scar. Once the piece of spinal cord was successfully sliced in two he licked the blood from his pale thumb and gently rested the bone back on the metallic tray. With a giggle of excitement he spun on his heels, almost knocking over a dirty vial of human parts as he did so. He stepped messily across the wood floor, stepping through piles of unmentionables and excretes without the slightest blink of an eye. His boots made a sickly squashing sound as he crushed piles of innards underneath them. Vadeem just giggled.

He grabbed a rusty carving tool from a bloody pile and moved to the nearest casket lined up against the grey stone wall. Roughly he shoved it to the ground, flinging the top off and exposing the fresh female corpse. Brought her in this morning, just died off from the plague. Vadeem ignored all the traces of the dieses however, passing them off as just another bit of beauty. She was glorious, naked, fresh. Barely had she been taken in petrification, but she smelled of death, how absolutely lovely. Vadeem could scarcely contain his admiration and excitement. He lusted greatly for her. Gently he ran a filthy finger nail across her white cold skin. How innocent, death brings such patience. She was much more calm then living women. A truly wonderful listener. A shame it was that he couldn’t keep her forever. Ah well, there would be others. For now he just needed a little piece to remember her by. The carnage only brought him more delight as he sawed carefully into her lower abdominal. It was a risky procedure, the removal of the uterus.

Just barely had he touched the sharp instrument to her skin when he heard Nurgles booming voice coming from the downstairs. Vadeem scowled and with a sharp growl spun around again, knife still in hand. He swept past the wall littered with bodies, piled and still clad in their burial
garments. He had need some decayed parts so where better to look then in his own cemetery? The corpses were so filthy one would assume they were made up of nothing more then dirt and dried blood. Their flesh was in varying degrees of petrification. The fresher of the lot’s being slightly green and pliant, whereas the aged corpses whose skin was grey and brittle. Their tongues and eyes had long since turned to dust, their lips turned back into eternally damning skeletal smiles.

As Vadeem clambered down the stairs he made such a ruckus it would have awakened the dead. He did not enjoy being disturbed whilst he worked. The dust of wood that floated down from the ceiling below him was proof to the other inhabitants that he was marching downwind. He reached the end of the stairs and thrust his knife so roughly into the aged wall that it cracked open both the stone and his hand. The skin ripped where a scab had formed, exposing a cut
deeper now then the original one. As the blood dripped down his hand and plopped on to the floor no one really paid it any mind. Vadeem was bleeding so often these days and it had become so frequent that none of them really bothered with him anymore. He didn’t care either, sometimes he even cut his skin open just for a jest every once in a while. Hurriedly he rushed to Nurgles side, squeezing the mans shoulder and shakily holding his balance. With a deep breath and another shaky squeeze he voice his opinion.

“N-now come on.... my friend...! You know better then to disturb a man when he’s working....” he whined, voice cracking before it filled with anger. “You can’t be up shouting your voice all hours of the night!”

This was said in truth, for it was very late into the evening. The time of night when Vadeem would will the other folks in the house away and steal off to the morgue. It was the time he did his best work and recently was beginning to miss the solitary life. With a glance downward, he noticed the mangled cat. Its bludgeoned body brought a smile to the mans face. That young man was a
wonder. Such a good boy, but no sense in the medical arts. With a small chuckle he stared back up at Vadeem, willing him to leave, pleading with his dark decaying eyes.

“Please? Can’t you and the child go... play or something?” he mumbled. “I need to work! You know.... how I need to work"

More About Me
I am the incorrigible Jesse. Your friendly neighborhood dork, anime nerd, computer geek. I'm very proud of my status as the dork and I waste my days away lost in pixel worlds. Reality is an unfortunate necessity, luckily I have some friends to help me through. As well as some rather lovely cheerleaders who are way out of my league but must secretly want me right? Right.

I value my computer more then I value my own life. That nifty piece of machinery IS my life. I love funky sunglasses and dorky tee shirts. My style is whatever I feel like wearing but I guess i look like a loser most of the time. I steer clear of those nasty bullies, they hate my guts! I'm a cute asian no matter what anyone says! I'm a bit of a germophobic. I hate dirt and grim, I always have to be clean. Just watch out or I'll kick your butt in one of my games! c:

This Could Take A While

Born and raised here in America. A lovable american asian! I don't have a horrible life or anything, decent parents who make decent money. No hidden past life as a drug dealer or anything. Just a typical kid who grew up playing Mario on old time nintendo before they came out with all this new snazzy technology. I might be a bit short (thanks dad) but I can still pack a punch with a game console.

Sure my mom gets on me a lot about my lack of a planned future but she shouldn't worry so much. I figure something out. Video game designer sounds good enough, I could pull it off. Of course she might be a bit more upset with me if she knew my secret, but I'll be sure not to let her find out. I'm bisexual, even though I've never had a date in my life with a girl OR guy. That journalist is kind of cute though... I wonder if he'll ever notice me.

Charles Mason, Ted Bundy, and Jack the Ripper would have been close friends of mine. We are all interested in the same things. The cumpulsion to kill is a strong one, the disire to kill mirrors lust. It is a need more then a want, really. It was this very compulsion that drives me to do ungodly things. They were first to throw the stone anyway, using God’s name for their own protection. Then they even had the nerve to blame I, the devil. Idiots. More heratics then they will ever believe. Putting words in God’s mouth. God spits acid. His words are fouler then mortals could ever fake. But then again, foul is my delightful line of work. The Master of Decay, The Lord of the Flies. I take many names, each grotesque in meaning. They are a perfect match. Names fit for my demeted mind. The excitment of my victums eerie screams make my heart sing. The sport of killing can rule ones life, one by one wiping out the filth of the world. The nobles. I choose only victums free of decay. So much perfection, it is truly disgusting. My reasoning you wonder? Extinguish the light and you’ve only darkness to spare. A cat and mouse game with the king, with God. That damn deity had no right to his actions. I could care less if he was the bloody queen of England. Hah, the Queen of England. You want to know something? I get anxious over morbid things. To hurt and hear the screams makes me fell like a man. That lasting control I posses, I feel like a king. I feel as if I am the most important person in the land. Its so fullfilling, so darling. I'm like a vampire not being able to quench my thirst. It seems I can't get enough of the taste, the spite he’s feeling. God of Gods? King of Kings? My a**. But really I have a serious problem. My warped soul needs to be nursed, I must to be cured in haste.

Tonight, in particular was a strange one. I have just finished, I believe, with victum
number sixteen. By this time suspicon must be arising all over town. Sixteen importants dead with no killer. Oh the agony those people must be feeling! It delights me so to picture them, sobbing, crying their little mortal hearts out. Why did I do it, kill the old man? It must have made his children sad. What a game! It was easy though, I did it all because simply, I am evil. Its in my blood.... you could say. Aha, you want to know how? A dagger in his back, I felt the cool blade enter his aged spine. It tore at the vertabre, slicing him open. Ohh he tasted like pure ecstasy. Delicious he was. I think, as the old man died, he smiled. He must have known he was to be one of the lucky ones. Freed from this damned world. I think now, he did smile. I know I did, my lips stained red with his taste, how could a grin have hidden itself? But of course, I can't say he was my best, no not by far. I usually get more creative. I'm not some trivial axe murder, no sir. I bring about their doom and make them shake in their shoes. No, not even the greatest demon slayer could evade me. I do careful work, but we all get messy every once in while. A great while. Remember, monsters are real. They are not in your dreams. I should hope I know that, i'm one of them.

But now, I will venture down the stairs. Or up them rather. Im losing track of direction, I’ve been down this cellar far to long. I have business to attend to. No, not the business of killing. I think I can stifle the urges just a bit longer. Only a bit. There getting harder and harder to resist. Have you ever killed someone before? Oh its pure delight, I swear on my damned heart its glorious! You just want to, to keep sticking them! Like a pig! Over and over. Until they pop! Spread all over the dirt, delicious and red. Thats my favorite color you know, red. The color of life. Blood brings so much life. Its so delicious and beautiful. Such a shame people horde it all to themselves! Greedy bastards they are. Thats why I'm out to teach them how to share. A tool, I think I should be wanting a guillotine, but I’ll think more on that later. I have my ward to attend to. Ahh that silly fellow, I must remind myself to ask his name again. I’m horrible with names. I barely remember mine. Oh there he is now! Heads will be rolling!

"Edward my boy! Welcome. Has Vadeem treated you properly? I'm terribly sorry for the wait."

((sorry, done with the first person for now. Just needed him to let you into his brain ))

The dark-haired detective just smiled. Normally he wasn’t one to revel his face to common people, but a case such as this would lead to use drastic measures. Even if it meant the young mans life would be pulled out from under him, L would solve this case. As the woman now chained to his arm complained, he just smiled quizzically and made his way hastily to his favorite chair. He perched in it, sitting in his usual awkward and comical position. With his knees pulled to his chest he reached forward, daintily pinching a small pastry between his forefinger and thumb. After examining the sweet from a moment he brought it to his lips. As the sugary taste overwhelmed his taste buds his smiled widened. Sugar was his one indulgence, one among many.

“What I hope to accomplish, is simple. I hope to prove to the world, and maybe even to yourself, that you are the.... second kira.” he nodded almost to himself, not bothering to look up from the tray of sweet things.

His explanation was a simple one. Just then a woman entered the room. She was intimidating, if not comical in appearance. Her hair was dark, perhaps even darker then the young detectives. She was medium heigh, if not a bit on the short side and very slender. Her clothes were dark, lace and lolita danced about her figure. She was very beautiful, with buckled combat-style boots that hugged her thin legs. She waltzed in the room with a sort of confident stride, draping her trench coat over the arm of a chair and stowing away a pistol within it. Her long dark hair flowed around her shoulders as she perched on the table in front of the two, her deep emerald eyes locked on the handcuffs. This woman was filled with a fire, almost a crazed sort of presence.

“Ah, Miss Delques, welcome.” L said calmly, holding a cup of tea out to the new arrival. “May I introduce you both, Takai this is Joan Meisei. As you know, I suspect her of being the second Kira. Joan, this is Takai Delques. I would ask you to please refer to her as ‘Taint’ and I as ‘Ryuzaki’ as a temporary precaution.”

Takai sipped the tea from his hand, looking remorseful from the harshness of her grab after she had done it. She looked up at him apologetically, not all to happy about the other woman in the room. L knew this, and had expected as much from her. Takai took a sip before grabbing a
handful of sugar cubes from the ceramic dish and dropping them in all at once. She bit her lip childishly and rested her chin in her palm, sipping at the tea half-heartedly.

“I know who she is..... did you really have to handcuff her? You forcing a bad impression on me already, I don’t think I’m quite fond of her.” she scowled, eyeing up the chain linking the two once again.

Jealousy was unfortunately prime in the young woman. This stranger was now chained to her Lawliet. That just would not do, not one bit. Of course she would never snap at him, he was her sugar, her obsession. Never would her sharp tongue cut him.

L laughed softly. “Yes Miss Taint, I’m afraid it was quite nessasary.”

          xxxxx Ramsey Mahkah

The dark skinned man sat in his environmentally sound car, wondering to himself why exactly he was still there to begin with. He really should have gone inside by now, it wasn't like him to drag his feet, but still there was something keeping him tied to the leather upholstery. Ramsey check to see if he was physically able to move, by pulling his body forward and then leaning back. All his muscles seemed to be functioning normally, so then it must have been something else keeping him inside the rusty pickup.

He let his gaze fall over the snow-covered concrete and then trail its way to the large glass windows with the franchising ads. It wasn't like he was fooling himself, even if he would've liked to pretend he had been. Ramsey was almost positive Lyon was inside of that exact Starbucks, the very same coffee shop staring him in the face. This wasn't like him at all. Heart beating faster, palms sweaty even in the freezing weather, postponing the inevitable walk into the coffee shop. The center of all these recently familiar feelings was of course, Lyon. He was like a brand new kind of person who had just hatched from an egg one day and wondered into Ramsey's life. He could safely, and without a doubt say that the brunet was unlike anyone he had ever met before.

Finally he pulled the key out of his metal death trap, closing his tan palm around its metallic surface. He didn't budge yet though, thoughts still circling Lyon in his brain. It was a strange thing in itself, the fact that the two had even met at all. It wasn't a common thing for those living on the reserve to associate with anyone other then others living there as well. That didn't really see a reason for it, which was one of the reasons Ramsey's grandfather didn't like him leaving to be with his non-native american friends. He only had two to his name, but he cherished them and often enough went against Joseph's wishes. There was a touch of racism there, Ramsey couldn't deny it. The older generations weren't so fond of the tales they'd heard of the 'white' man. It wasn't harsh of course, but they certainly didn't care much for mixing the races. Yet Ramsey still couldn't help being curious about what was out there, it was in his nature.

Eventually he heaved an over exaggerated sigh and forced the muscles in his hand to tug open the door. The blistering cool rushed into the car as he returned the force and pushed out into the open air. After slamming the truck's door shut, he already had a clear picture of what he would find inside. Lyon would probably be seated at his usual table, with possible his second cup of coffee in hand. The key part of this scenario, however, was the book he would inevitable be reading. It was an extremely rare thing for Ramsey to find his friend's hands empty of a good book. It was practically comical, the amount of knowledge the boy must have taken in over the years. He'd been reading monstrous amounts ever since Ramsey could remember, and more then likely far long then his memory's reach. This being so, it would seem Lyon should know everything there was to know in the world, but his native american peer had to disagree. He still had a few things to learn.

Sure enough, there he was. Usual table, book in hand. A small curved smirk crept slowly onto Ramsey's face as he neared his friend. He peered over the boys shoulder, eyes scanning the page he was reading. It took a few moments to discover which book it was, but once he had Ramsey's smile widened even further.

"The Queen of Hearts, she made some tarts, all on a summer day: The Knave of Hearts, he stole those tarts, and took them quite away!" he read over Lyon's shoulder. "Haven't you read this one before?" Ramsey asked even though he was already positive of the answer. He'd seen that particular book in Lyon's hands several times before, along with all his other favorites. Ramsey never would really understand why one would want to reread a book though. It seemed needless considering you'd already gotten through it once. It hadn't changed, so why bother?

((I'll be gone until Saturday! Sorry, bye!))

You think I'm an ignorant savage 「
But still I cannot see, if the savage one is me,
how can there be so much that you don't know?
