MISS INDEPENDENT THAT'S WHY I LIKE HER

Sang the smooth voice belonging to the hip-hop gentleman known as Ne-Yo. The sun's bright rays peeked through the cracks of the curtains revealing parts of the elegant French themed room. The sound of the echoing music began to stir a bit of movement from the lush and fluffy queen sized bed. Soon enough a feminine hand reached over to shut the music off, stretching gracefully and yawning softly the girl sat up as she ran her fingers through her dark autumn locks. It had immediately become obvious who the sleepy teen was, Emiko Lee Misaki otherwise known as the Ouran hostess cool type. Blinking the sleep out of her eyes, she looked over at her slumbering buddy "Morning Alice" Emiko whispered stroking the fur of the purring gray and white stripped kitten while fixing the light pink ribbon around her neck. The petite feline had been an unexpected gift from her parents, not that it was a negative thing, it was nice being rewarded for her good grades.

Slipping out of her bed, the rest of the morning was just part of her usual routine. Walking over to the window to part the curtains, politely greeting her maid Marie as she fixed her bed, make a few adjustments on any clothes she was working on, and of course heading to the bathroom to freshen up for the day. If there was one important thing in Emiko's book it was cleanliness. Grabbing a nearby towel and robe, she slowly made her way towards her personal bathroom. 30 minutes ticked by and Emiko was almost prepared, she wasn't the type of girl who wasted time. Her make up and perfume was already applied now all that was needed was to put on her Emiko approved uniform.

Yes, the seventeen year old had made a few alterations to her uniform, the last thing she wanted to be was a plain jane. Emiko had just made the hem a lot shorter and the fit just a tad tighter, everyone know's long and puffy dresses were last season. If the hostess had things done her way, her changes would have been more drastic, though she was sure the principal as well as her strict father wouldn't be so leaniate. It seemed the Emiko would have to make the outfit work with confidence, looks, and who could forget accessories ! Speaking of accessories the brunette pulled her hair up into a loose bun and slipped a yellow floral headband on the top of her head, she then put on a pair of pearl earrings. "Perfect" she smiled at her reflection, satisfied with her appearance for the day. Her bright ballet tapped softly through the hallway and down the spiral marble staircase.

Arriving at the dining room Emiko quickly noticed her younger sister and father already eating their breakfast. Mother was away on a sort of business trip if you will, recruiting up and coming models to come work for her agency. "Goodmorning" she smiled giving her father a kiss on the cheek and her sibling a nice ruffling of her hair, the two often found ways to bother each other all the time. Sitting down the female placed the napkin on her lap as she began picking at the food in front of her, she wasn't in the mood for this omelette. "Daddy" started Mai "Mimi's going to be kissing a boy from school" the little one smirked, purposely leaving out the fact that it was for a play. This bit of information had rapidly caught her father's attention "Emiko, explain yourself" he began while folding his newspaper up. "You don't have to worry dad, it's just a play, plus the Ouran hosts and hostesses have to take part of it" Emiko replied glaring at the little squirt she had to call a sister. Her father grunted "You know how I feel you and this hostess ordeal, why can't you join a more reasonable curricular activity?" he started. The feminine cool type couldn't help but sigh, it was the same conversation everyday, why do you want to be a fashion designer? Why do are you part of a silly hostess club? "I've lost my appetite" she replied "I hope you two have a nice day" she finished standing up, it bothered her when her father tried planning out all she did.

The butler bid her farewell as he opened her door, revealing the dark limousine parked in front of the home. It was a bit chilly, but there surely would be a few kind boys willing to give up a sweater. Sitting in the back of the automobile, the driver began to go, this part of the morning meant it was text checking time. Emiko scanned through all her texts, it was the usual. Boys asking if she'd have time to go out during the weekend, or some sort of ridiculous rumor. Is it true you lost your virginity? she read to herself "Of course not !" she exclaimed, the things people did to ruin reputations. Ignoring it she went on to her next text, it was from the dear princess type. Hmm practice starts today she thought to herself, the Beast was going to be Jiro, Hime-chan's brother if she wasn't mistaken. It was funny how she hardly knew her friend's brother, the two had never really held a conversation.

It wasn't too long until Emiko arrived in front of a familiar sight, Ouran High. Thanking her driver as he opened her door she stepped outside and began making her way. Smiling and greeting people she hardly knew was part of being a hostess, the more friendly and approachable she seemed the more customers they would receive. Normally she would take time to chat with a few boys, but it was wise not to keep Risa waiting. Making her way into the drama room she noticed a few props used in previous plays, all though she wasn't ecstatic over the whole things it was still pretty interesting. "Hello girls, don't you two look wonderful as usual" she smiled taking her place besides their princess while going through a new wave of texts. Emiko chocolate hues glanced at each one, every time she changed her phone number customers as well as jealous students seemed to get a hold of it somehow.

Standing at the foot of a set of large stone steps, a low whistle escaped the lips of a young teenage male. His brown orbs gazed up in wonder at his new school and home that is. "Christopher Columbus Academy" the shaggy haired sixteen year old smirked to himself. This new easy going student went by the name of Chase, Chase Yoshida. After admiring the entrance for a few more seconds, it was time to see why his father spoke about this place so much. Climbing up the crowded steps with a Nike duffel bag slung over his shoulder, a suitcase in one hand and a few papers in the other. He began brushing past the other male students getting ready to settle in after saying their last goodbyes to their parents or family members. Lucky them, his parents were unfortunately busy with work, though Chase couldn't be upset their hard work was the only reason who could attend this academy. Today was the first day back to school, the day where all of the returning students found their dorms, unpacked, relaxed, toured around, and of course got ready for their classes the following morning.. Chase had been in a pretty wealthy private Freshman year, than his father decided that if his son were to be the best there was no better place than Columbus.

Coming to a halt the boy clearly saw why his old man was so bent on sending him here, the campus was enormous. On lush green fields of grass different groups of casually dressed students were all ready taking part in a little game of football here and there, probably unwinding before the big day tomorrow. The there was a large clear fountain in the middle of the courtyard, not to mention all of the nice looking buildings, it sort of looked like a mini Harvard in his opinion and that was just the beginning. This place was almost perfect, all that was missing were girls, but did here about an all girls academy down the road. Sacred Heart Academy for girls usually spent most of their events together, like the school dances or school carnival's.

This place was rather big, finding his dorm could be a little more difficult than he thought. "I'll be lucky if I can find my dor---" unable to completely finish his sentence, Chase was suddenly struck in his side by a football. "Ugh" he groaned to himself dropping his belongings to the floor, to place his hand over his throbbing side. "Hey underclassman, give that back while ya" yelled a blond, from the sound of his cocky tone it had to be a senior. Picking it up Chase hurled the football back causing it to spiral right into the stranger's chest "Nice arm" said the senior impressed with the throw. "Don't mention it" replied Chase with confidence smeared all over his words, if there was one thing he was proud of it was his athletic abilities.

Grabbing his stuff, he was immediately back on track, the sooner he got to the room the sooner he'd be able to chill. "Now where is building C" Chase asked himself, out loud walking down a brick path. The reasonable thing would have been to ask for help, but being of the male gender asking for directions just weren't his thing. It had taken Chase a lot longer than he had expected to locate building C, but there it was standing tall. According to the school map his dorm should be on the second floor, but to his dismay he would have to climb up another set of stairs to get there. Geez you'd think they have some decent elavators Chase thought to himself while heading up. "200, 201, 202, 203, Finally !" he exclaimed taking out his dorm key from an envelope to unlock door 204, the boy rapidly turned it in the lock and stepped inside.

The room was a relatively good size, there was enough space for him and for whoever his roommate would be. There were a few pictures of the campus, and it held a blue and white sort of them, to represent school spirit he supposed. They had even given the a full equipped bed, pillow, comforters and all. It was kind of bare, but once he settled in things would change. Leaving his things on the floor, he plopped himself unto the bed by the window. Letting out a huge sigh of relief he laced his fingers behind his head as he closed his chocolate colored eyes shut, soaking in just a bit of rest before he would go out to check the place out himself. This would be the start of could possibly be the most interesting year of his life.

Chase's chest rose with each deep breath he took, his dark orbs took a quick glance at the sun lingering over the field. "Man, it's hot" he whispered to himself wiping the sweat off his forehead with the back of his arm as he focused his attention back unto the players. It was the end of the first day of school and what better way to finish it off than to practice in intense heat with the soccer team. "Alright practice is over for the day boys, head for the showers" yelled the coach, the boys all sighed in relief as some of them began jogging towards the locker room while others took their time by walking and joking around. "Hey good job today Chase, not too bad for an underclassman" grinned Adam giving the sophomore a playful punch to the arm "You know your just as good as that kid that got kicked off the team last year" the jet black haired kid added "Now what was his name again?" he asked out loud as he placed his shirt trenched with perspiration on his shirtless shoulders. "Hey James, what was the name of that f** we had?" he asked calling over the other senior. Chase's eyes widened a bit suddenly wishing he hadn't stuck around, surely he was going to start talking about Al. "The homo's name was Alphonse, and it was a good thing too, there was no way I was going to play on this team knowing I had some guy checking me out" he commented as the bare chested player started making his way towards the showers. Adam nodded his head to that "Well you don't have to worry about him anymore, all I know is were lucky to have you kid" he said ruffling the top of Chase's hair before heading off with James. "Yeah" Chase lied as he watched his teammate go away.

Normally he would have gone after him to join the others to in the locker room, but he felt like being alone for a tad. Kicking up the ball with his foot he began to bounce it from one knee to the next, this lasted for about 20 min. before the sixteen year old had finally decided to give up. Walking back to the locker room he realized most of the guys were already done. "What took you so long, you overachiever?" said one guy already dressed and ready to go, most of the other boys had already taken their showers and were getting dressed. "Yeah your going to be the last one here" said someone else. About 10 min. passed by and Chase was the only one getting undressed to take a shower in the locker room " You sure your gonna be okay here all alone?" asked Adam " I heard this place is haunted" he joked as he buttoned up the last button on his shirt. "I'll be alright" Chase replied as he pushed Adam as he went out. Taking off the rest of his clothes he grabbed a bar of soap from his locker and wrapped a white towel around his waist as well. As soon as the teen reached the showers he took off his towel revealing his completely nude body, he didn't mind being alone it just meant he had all of the time in the world. After turning on the water he closed his eyes as the water sent a soothing sentiment through out his whole body " Hmm " he hummed softly soaking in the moment.

ooo The sun had barely made it's bright marks in the morning sky while gusts of chilly winds blew through the empty town as winter began to make it's presence known. It was incredibly early, the crack of dawn as a matter of fact, most if not all of the employees of the bathhouse were still resting in bed. Dreaming as much as they possibly could before waking up to endure a long day of preparing for the arrivals coming in the evening and a long night in taking care of the various whims and wishes of the most powerful of spirits. Everyone was comfortably slumbering, that is except for one person. A young male known as Shouji continuously tossed and turned, clearly uneasy. Suddenly sitting straight up from his sleep, now fully awake, he gasped deeply as his heart beat rapidly he sighed to himself. The pair of almost colorless grey irises stared down at his bare chest rising up then down with each breath. "Damn it" the eighteen year old growled to himself, looking at his lower member making a bulge in his sheets due to the provocative dream he had just experienced. It had been the second time this month, these dreams about Hajime were becoming more frequent and vivid. Frustrated he sighed to himself as his six foot some inch half clothed body stood up while grabbing his signature green and black checkered robe on a nearby chair. Not wanting to wake up the squirt he had to call a partner, Shouji silently slipped into their bathroom where he would have to get rid of his problem as quickly and silently as possible.

ooo It hadn't taken Shouji long to take control of his little situation, add a short bath on top of that and it was as if nothing had ever happened. If the second apprentice had ever taken notice of such a thing, he surely wouldn't let Shouji forget it. Pulling the robe unto his slightly cold skin, the male's light hues shifted over to the lightly fogged windows. This sign only meant one thing, winter had finally come around. That cold feeling he currently felt on his body was what most people tried to stray away from, for him it was something he grown accustomed with after all these years, it was the one of the reason's he liked winter best. That and the fact that his now deceased mother had given birth to him during that unforgettable season of the year. Walking towards the window the boy couldn't help, but soak in this momentary time of silence. In this crowded bathhouse he had to call a home, Shouji unfortunately didn't have much time to himself. The only sound he could make out now was the rhythmic thumping from his chest. Deep in his thoughts he remembered there was indeed a secret and third reason winter held a special place in his heart. It was around the time he had first laid eyes on Hajime. It had been about two years ago, Shouji had been abandoned by his cruel father and had somehow found himself to this place.

ooo It was all mysterious, frightening, and intriguing at the same time. One minute it was a deserted town than as soon as the sun set it was as if life had been breathed into it. Music filled the air, as odd beings of different shapes and sizes took to the streets. Growing scared he had begun to run through the unusual crowd as the then sixteen year old bumped into a person crossing a bridge leading into what looked like a bath house. The stranger looked down and smirked Looks like your not from around these parts, but that won't get into the way of finding something for you to do the person said beckoning him to follow. Minutes later the teen was seated across from this new person in an elegant and large room and this stranger finally asked for his name. H-Hiromi the human softly replied as this important figure began to scribble it down What a nice name?" he smiled. Well now you will be known as Shouji, you'll be my apprentice, the name magically lifted up from the paper and disappeared. Shouji had immideatly forgotten his name, no matter how hard he had tried to remember nothing came to mind. Hajime was already beginning to toy with his newest pet for amusement. If you ever remember your name, I promise you'll be free he mused finishing his sentence with a playful wink, as if things weren't bad enough.

ooo At first Shouji had held nothing but hate for the owner of the bathhouse. All he wanted to do was to somehow recall his previous name, forget about this part of his life, and run away as far as possible. As weeks turned into months the anger slowly began to fade away only leaving him with confusing emotions. The apprentice no longer felt upset towards him, but somewhat attracted. Those feelings were kept hidden due to the fact that he thought it was shameful that he even thought of his superior in such a manner. To make matters worse Hajime had accepted another apprentice under his wing, causing him to share his dear boss with someone else. Though what else could you expect from Hajime, he always had a thing for young men. Snapped out of his little trance the male looked at the sleeping boy with disdain, he was Shouji's only obstacle. If he was truly a cruel partner he would have left to meet Hajime first and by himself, though as much as he hated him he wasn't that mean of a soul. It only made sense that the two apprentices had to wake up earlier than any other employee, they were what most could describe as Hajime's right hand men. "Wake up" Shouji said loudly "It's time for us to go up" he said referring to the oh so special owner who resided at the very top of the establishment.

(( Sorry this is long ! I promise this is just the intro post, after this the posts will get a lot shorter C: ))

ooo "Right" the older male replied exiting beside him as he closed the sliding door behind them. Their footsteps made light thumping noises against the wooden floor as they headed down the hallway. It was just another regular trip to work. Their communication was very limited as usual, it was mostly kept to one worded answers or incredibly short sentences. Though it didn't bother Shouji one bit, he preferred it that way. Besides why would he want to be speaking with the enemy ? It hadn't been too long until the pair arrived to the front of the elevator doors. The light eyed teen raised an eyebrow as he pressed the elevator button. Odd there was normally a female employee there to try seduce them in some manner on their way to Hajime. Some of the girls in this bathhouse were bent on trying to use their bodies to tempt the apprentices in order to grant them favors. Make them ask Hajime for a different job or something along those lines. In the end being known as Hajime's right hand men meant that people either disliked them and kept their distance or feared them and tried to kiss the very ground they walked on. The employees knew well that one word from either Shouji or Izanagi could make or break them.

ooo "Women" he whispered to himself, although their feminine curves were irresistible, he has definitely been leaning towards his own gender. The eighteen year old thought about the one and only body that could ever tempt him into doing anything, and it belonged to Hajime. Being cooped in that large room of his during the night must be a very difficult task, up there alone he surely longed for some company. Perhaps one of these days he'd work up the nerve to actually do it, instead of using his imagination. Hearing the familiar ding come from the elavator, Shouji had begun to walk. Due to the fact that his head was still in the clouds, the last thing he was doing was paying attention to his directions. Well when one doesn't focus, that is when most accidents can occur.

ooo Tripping over Izanagi's feet, his first reaction was to grab unto him as he fell down. The elevator doors closed leaving the elder apprentice above the younger one. His eyes were shut as his side throbbed Snap out of it Shouji, you got to focus he mentally scolded himself. His long haired superior was beginning to invade his thoughts too much, it was throwing him off. Shouji's grey irises revealed themselves only to be staring straight at Izanagi's emerald one's. He wasn't the type of person to say sorry, especially to him. The first thing to do was put the blame on his rival even though the incident could have been avoided if it weren't for his own clumsiness. "Watch where your going !" he began only noticing how incredibly close the two were. " Izanagi if you wanted to be this near to me, you didn't need to pull off a stunt like this" Shouji smirked continuing to act as if Izanagi was the one to blame, he hadn't pulled himself yet just to to irk the hell out of him. Knowing his rival he would surely retaliate either physically or verbally in a matter of seconds.

ooo It wasn't too long until the pair found themselves in front of the bathhouse kitchen. The was a lot more life in the atmosphere since the duo had woken up. The employees were up and ready, scrubbing and cleaning everything from the floor to the tubs, making sure the place was in tip top shape. The most powerful and famous of spirits from far and wide came to cleanse or indulge themselves here. Everything had to exemplify perfection, for Hajime's reputation was at stake. "Stay here" Shouji warned pushing through the doors, as his icy hues noticed the intense popularity they had suddenly gained this morning. Ever since he and Izanagi had stepped off the elevator together all eyes had been on them, it had been non stop whispering and staring from the working employees. It was starting to be a distraction, though he was quick to realize what was grabbing so much attention. It was the fact that the he and Izanagi were actually caught being together, without any altercations taking place whatsoever. The angst between the apprentices, wasn't a secret, everyone knew the two couldn't stand each other. Though little was known about the true reason Izanagi and Shouji never got along. In the minds of the employees the young men were simply trying to out do each other, become the number one apprentice. In reality their competition was worth much more than pride, it was about winning Hajime's heart.

ooo Sighing the male entered into the kitchen. Pots steamed and hissed everywhere, as delicious aromas filled the air. Ingredients were being yelled out loud, as the cooks and chefs were busily preparing bountiful amounts of meals. The spirits tended to consume a lot, so it only made sense to start cooking as early as possible. Due to the constant motion, the Asian lad had to move swiftly to prevent any bumping of the sort. He had finally found his person of interest in the back going from station to station making sure that the provisions tasted right. "Well if it isn't Shouji" the head chef said, he was one of the few people who wasn't afraid of him. "Your usual bento lunch" the older man said placing the prepared box in his hands. "I-I'm going to need another" the apprentice replied, as his eyes retreated back to the door. " Ah for a little friend, perhaps a girl?" the head chef asked as he looked int he direction of Shouji's glance and noticed through the small window, that the friend he was referring to was surprisingly Izanagi. "Young Izanagi, it's interesting that the two of you will be sharing a meal together" he said already getting to work on the second box "Is something the matter?" the grey haired worker asked in curiosity. "It's nothing" Shouji snapped quickly going on the offensive, nothing was going on between the two. "I mean, were just doing Hajime a favor" he quickly replied as an apology, Shouji wasn't the type to just say the words 'I'm sorry'. "It's just nice to see you two getting along" the chef said stacking the second bento box on the other. Shouji nodded his head as his thank you as he carefully made his way out of the kitchen. "Come on, let's go to our room" the boy mumbled, at least there they could avert everyones curious eyes.

God damn, my spinning head
Decisions that made my bed
Now I must lay in it
And deal with things I left unsaid
I want to dive into you
Forget what you're going through
I get behind, make your move
Forget about the truth

ooo Shouji had decided to take a slower pace behind Izanagi or James to be more accurate, the less attention they attracted the better. Besides the younger male seemed to know where he was going, there was no use in chaperoning him closely. The pair walked down the hallway leading to their room with a sort of a distance between themselves, though they weren't the only two present which didn't make it more awkward then it already was. Little kids tagged and pushed each other as elder workers hushed them as they walked by the apprentices. They would either avert their eyes or muster up a bit of courage to greet a little 'hello'. The male nodded his head in return as moving figure in a dark room had quickly caught his attention. His grey irises' gazed up at James to make sure he wasn't paying any attention before ducking into the seemingly empty room.

ooo "Shouldn't you be working by now? I'd expect this tardiness from the children" the eighteen year old sternly said as he leaned aginast the wall. The female stranger looked back with a playful look on her visage "Shouji you scared me" she mused as she approached him. "Besides there's nothing for me to be scared about, you wouldn't tell on me" the brunette finished tracing his jaw line with her index finger. "Stop it" Shouji rapidly replied as he took a step back "Something's come up today, so don't bother trying to find me" the teen warned in a serious tone. Mai had the tendency of being careless, there had been a few times when the two had almost been caught. The little fling between them had been well kept secret for the past few weeks. Though it wasn't as if he had found another person of interest in his life, Hajime still remained the one and only. There were no passionate emotions between them, no strings attached to be more specific. This thing between Shouji and Mai could be described as strictly for pleasure, plus it was the reason why he tended to sneak of his room in the middle of the night.

ooo You see the male apprentice was a growing teenage boy who needed to have his sexual desires met. He didn't think Mai would be as good as Hajime in bed, far from it actually, but she would do for now. As it had been explained before, the two apprentices were often sought after by some female employees. He didn't know about Izanagi, but this was Shouji's first time fooling around with someone from the bathhouse. It was only because his urges for Hajime were becoming stronger, he had to find some sort of outlet. "You can tell me Shouji" Mai pouted as her hand ran down his chest "It's none of your business" Shouji said a bit irritated from all the questions he was being asked today. "Just get to work and stay out of trouble" the male finished taking a quick look outside to make sure the coast was clear. "Get out of this room a few minutes after I do, understood?" Shouji order as Mai was tying her brown locks up "I won't let our little secret out, my lips are sealed" the girl said as the older apprentice walked out.

ooo It hadn't taken long before Shouji soon found himself entering the room his shared with Izanagi. He found the boy already settled, hopefuly there would be no questions asked. The tall eighteen year old took his sit besides the window to gaze at the scnery while eating. Shouji couldn't help , but turn his attention towards James. He was different from Izanagi, James seemed like he could be tolerated more. The Asian male reflected on what had happened earlier, perhaps he had been a little to rough around the edges. Shouji sighed to himself pondering if he would regret what he was about to do. Yes to actually try to start up a conversation with the younger lad "S-So James" he began while picking at his food "How long has Izanagi had you a split personality? I never knew that about him" Shouji said forcing the words out of his mouth. Talking to his rival was difficult even though it wasn't really him. At least he had been able to ask the question that had plagued his mind all day, he had known Izanagi for two years, why hadn't he encountered James before?

(( lol. just wanted to spice things up a bit > w< ~. Now when Shouji sneaks out of his room you'll know what he's up to. ))

ooo Shouji hadn't expected a reply from the boy on the opposite side of the room. He could tell, no visibly see that he wasn't at all content, more like angry with the way he had been treated. James obviously perceived him as some sort of jerk a bully even, but Shouji simply saw himself acting the way he usually did. Just because he was a different side of Izanagi didn't mean a thing, should the eighteen year really put his guard down just because of that? His icy hues were focusing on the scenery outside of the window, as James narrated his little life story. Though one word or name to be more specific had caught his interest. "Lind?" he repeated, so there was more? And to make matters even worse this personality hated not only him, but Hajime as well. The owner wouldn't be pleased to hear such information, though it didn't really bother Shouji. It was like having the original Izanagi around, but the hatred was ten times worse.

"I see" the teen concluded, who would have ever known? James went on to say he didn't have to pretend anymore, if he really hated him they didn't need to speak. The apprentice took in a deep breath before he spoke "Have you ever admired someone?" he simply asked taking a short glance at the emerald eyed boy. He then diverted his attention back outside "Have you cared for someone so much, that when they don't even pay attention to you for the slightest moment, it hurts?" Shouji said asking yet another question. "Your just so fond of them, but they don't give out the exact emotions as you do" the Asian boy added. To think he was actually talking to James, but not only that he was opening a bit of himself without even knowing it. "That's how I feel about Hajime, I'd do anything for him" the male continued "Even if it means having to put up with you" he chuckled to himself.

                          (( Gah ! It's short, but hopefully it's okay :3 ))

ooo Something was odd, very odd indeed. The situation hadn't played out how he had expected, in fact James seemed more frightened than infatuated. The dark haired male could feel the tension in the boy's body, it seemed his very touch made him tighten up. The younger male immediately exited the room as soon as Shouji had let him escape out of his arms. His action only confirmed his idea, the boy was clearly hurt. James had easily seen through his act. He knew well the only reason Shouji had touched him in such a manner was just to please his appetite to see him squirm. "Oh well" the male whispered to himself, maybe James didn't admire him as much as he claimed. Toying with his emotions was cruel, some could say it was down right wrong. Though there was just something about James that enabled him to remain kind with him. Perhaps it was the fact that Shouji just couldn't convince himself to treat someone who held Izanagi's appearance with any respect. Although James was the complete opposite of Izanagi, he was still a part of him. Anything that had to do with Izanagi just irked the hell out of him, it was just the way he functioned after two years of being with him.

ooo Perhaps he had taken matters too far? It didn't matter to him, actually it didn't bother him at all. That is until Hajime had finally decided to make his presence known. The Asian male had fully well expected to be scolded, he had expected to be lectured about being heartless towards the younger apprentice. Though what Hajime had done next would have been something he would have never imagined he would do. As the owner's hand made contact with his visage not only did it leave a large red mark, but a stinging sensation as well. Shouji didn't let out any hint of the pain he felt. The male didn't make a sound nor an expression on his face, Shouji didn't even lift up his hand to sooth his cheek. He simply stood still, shocked to experience pain from the hand that often caressed him. The apprentice remained silent, as the scene replayed itself over and over again. "Never toy with our emotions?" Shouji repeated as he chuckled to himself, those were his first words as he broke the tension that floated heavily in the air. "You think having Izanagi and I competing for you is different than toying with our emotions?" he said as he had raised his voice a bit louder, though not enough to consider it yelling. Anger bubbled within him, though he would never dare to actually start screaming at Hajime.

ooo "If you wanted him to be cared for, you knew well that I was the wrong person to carry out that job" Shouji said as he had pointed at the door that James had gone out from. Shouji didn't want to see Hajime anymore, he didn't want to hear his voice any longer, much less have him say he loved him. It took a lot of courage not to start venting everything out, pouring the emotions he had felt for over two years. Hajime should have never taken on a second apprentice, he should have never started making them compete against each other, he should have never placed them in the same room, he should have never made him spend time with James ! When Hajime leaned his body against him or hinted at suggested themes, that wasn't toying around? Although all of these thoughts were just itching to burst out, he stayed quiet. It was obvious Shouji was the bad guy at that moment and James was the innocent victim. If Hajime wanted James to be safe, then fine he would have his way. "You won't have to worry about me hurting your precious James anymore" Shouji started restraining himself from clenching his teeth. "I don't want anything to do with him, I won't go near him, and that is a promise I won't break" the male finished as he walked out of his room making sure to slam the door as he exited.

ooo The older apprentice couldn't think straight, he had no idea where he was going to go. Deep in his thoughts he bumped into a few employees while not even bothering to stop and excuse himself. Shouji was obviously distraught, the only thing that was clear was the fact that he wanted to go away, far far away. A place where he could forget about his curse, the bathhouse, it's employees, the spirits, Izanagi, and most of all Hajime. People couldn't help but stop what they were doing and whisper amongst themselves, curious on what had made Shouji seem so off. It hadn't taken him long to make it outside, the chilly air felt soothing. It almost made him feel free. Free, that word sounded amazing right now. If only he could recall his name, he could leave and Izanagi could have Hajime all to himself. Shouji leaned against the bridge as he gazed down at he reflection. "Liar" he called himself outloud, he knew he cared too much for Hajime to just go and leave him like that. The bridge would be as far he would go, the bathhouse was still in plain sight, but at least he wasn't inside anymore. He took in a deep breath than exhaled, as his eyes stared lifelessly back at himself. Shouji no longer wanted to think, in fact he wanted to clear his mind of everything that had happened.
