These are my predictions

BLS won't get hit he's coming out in Japan in there gold series

Witch won't come back because she can search dad and cyber jar is a plus 5 to the turn player if there lucky so you will never see him come back

I'm ok with magician of faith returning but I see Dmoc coming back first and there gonna test the waters with him

Sinister is a plus 1 every turn but I still don't think he's good, problem is konami does......

I'm going to be posting my predictions from what I've seen on dueling network.

Banned

Future Fusion to zero. With eclipse wyvern coming out this card is a much more broken foolish burial

BLS envoy of the beginning to zero. BAN THAT MOTHA ---- He is in every single deck now. His effect is far too broken and he shouldn't have been unbanned in the first place.

Brio/Trish to zero. One has to get hit.

Glow-up bulb to zero. Ban this, bring back serpent.

Dandylion to zero, almost the same reason.

Monster reborn to zero. A costless summon from either grave.




Limited to one.

Magician of faith/Tsukuyomi/Dark Magician of chaos to limited. One of them should come back, sure it'll double chances of powerful limited cards, but the game is getting ravished by wind-up and Inzektors and a couple dark holes, couldn't hurt, or really help...

Tribe Infecting virus to limited. With the amount of swarming, something needs to keep it in balanced, cards that can clear the field are relatively necessary, because your opponent could have no hand, no field and come back by top decking a Tour guide

Cyber-stein to one or more. He can be veilered and paying 5000 for nothing, need I say more? Oki, I shall, gorz, tragoedia, battle fader.

Sinister serpent to one. Ooo, it'll help you discard more.

Witch of the black forest to one. All decks can pretty much search for a winning hand in one turn.

Raigeki/Duster to one. Once again mass destruction is not what it used to be, returning to the hand or deck is where the real victory is.

Crush card virus to one. Just a joke... I want mine back...

Solemn warning to one. I'm all for destruction, but this card can make synchro monsters useless.

Tour guide to one or less. Too bad Konami wants to keep whoring this thing out for 200 bucks

All Inzektor/Wind up limited f---'em

Rescue rabbit limited or banned. No explanation necessary



Semi limited.

Torrential tribute to two or more. Mass destruction STILL not as effective as it used to be.

Reborn Tengu to two or LESS. Why is Malicious limited and he's not?

Royal Oppression to two or more. Unlike warning this card isn't all powerful and can be used by both players. It's necessary to crush swarm decks.

Lonefire blossom to two. If Dandy and bulb are gone, it's not so great.



I'm sure I missed a ton of crap, hey so does Konami on a semi annual basis. I'd love to hear your input.

Future Fusion: yes becaus FuFU has to many good plays

BLS: hes only broken because we have priority

Brio/Trish: No because they are the only way to get rid of xyzs

Glow-up bulb: No point.

Dandylion: Ban this or one for one

Monster reborn: yes

Tourguide won't get hit, then again, its reprint was just announced.

Didn't stop Crush Card Virus from going away; they announce it in the Turbo Packs and then POOF, goodbye tournament legality.

Also, remember, Japan makes the list. Tour guide isnt in japan, neither is tengu. they wont hit it, unless they do what they did to allure.

That's not 100% true Japan makes a proto list that's passed to America where they can add to it or ask for certain changes, then Japan has final say on it.

Ok im sorry im throwing in my ideas now this is....ok look one there not going to ban BLS one be thx ful hes at one (would be better at two just saying cuz i run a Agents of Chaos but oh well)
also every card at lest once will get on then off the ban list the BLS has benn on there sense close to its release date so give it a break Trishula is a worrse card up too 3 UP TO THREE TIMES THE F>>> can banish a card when summon BLS once per turn but still come on theres ways around him

The "there's ways around X" argument's been dead for ages.

There's ways around Yata-Garasu, Chaos Emperor Dragon, Magical Scientist, and every other cheap-as-hell FTK/Lock that's ever been made; doesn't mean they need to be let off the banlist.

And like you said, every card is let off the banlist once in a while just to give it some air...doesn't mean it stays off the list after that. BLS could very well be going away again after a single format; this past format for him was basically "Is he still too powerful for the game's current state?" If Konami decides the answer was yes, then he's going away; if not, he may stick around at 1 for a while.


In any case, I stick by the original prediction I made.

-I can see Mind Control going to 0 (however I wouldn't be surprised if it doesn't). It's mostly takes an opponent's card for a 4 rank XYZ or synchro. Every time.
-Monster Reborn to 0. Too many special summons happen nowadays; reborn for something that's already limited or semi. Besides, it's one of those cards that hops on and off of the banned list.
-Wind-Up rat either 1 or 0. Unfair strategy.
-Several Inzectors are going to get hit. (I hope)
-Maybe some GB's?
-Tour Guide to 1 or 2.
-Sangan may get to 0. Can be summoned with Tour Guide and a LOT of cards have effects letting them be special summoned from the hand, which could be easy set-up for synchro.
-Rabbit to 1 or 0. No explanation needed.
-If Chaos Emperor Dragon and/or Dark Magician of Chaos goes to 1, then Monster Reborn gets banned, and Call of the Haunted goes back to 1. Also might lead Solemn Judgment to be semi (I know, it's a stretch)
-Marshmallon to 2. Both Marshmallon and Spirit are killed the same way nowadays, the only difference is the 1k damage.
-Dandylion may go banned. Not sure. It guarantees synchro material and/or tribute material, and can be used multiple times.

-Dark Hole may get hit to 0, but I doubt it.
-If Raigeki/Harpie's Feather Duster goes unbanned, then I can see x2/x3 Starlight Road everywhere. Those cards would be OP in today's game, not like it was in '05, where everyone could run it :U. The game has changed. Harpie might go to 1. I'd bet on that over Raigeki.

I don't play this game anymore but I was really surprised that they brought back BLS. He's completely broke-s**t.

Some of you are completely disregarding the fact that wind-ups and Inzektors are the most competitive decks of the format.

Banned:
BLS. He's a card that can be top decked and win a game that you had no business winning. BLS is so brain dead that it needs to be rebanned.

Pot of Avarice:
Too much utility, the fact that it gives wind-ups their s**t back means it HAS to go, not to mention recycling Dragonfly and centipede in Inzektors. As well as Tengu in plants.

Sangan: Broke s**t with Tour Guide.

Limited:

Inzektor Dragonfly:
This card is what makes that deck competitive. Most would argue hornet, but they're wrong. One hornet still gives the deck loop-ability and even crowed Levair says hi.

Wind-up Zenmaity OR Wind-up Rat:
Gives Wind ups the hand eat required. If Zenmaity does not get hit, then Rat will. It stops the hand eating.

I've read some prior posts, and perhaps I'm overlooking things in the meta but lets think of what's dirty this format.

Rescue Rabbit:
With 4 possible ways to easily drop A laggia or Dolka, this card needs to be limited.

Master Hyperion:
Easy to drop? Destruction? Big boss monster? Yeah....
The top three:
Inzektors, Wind-ups, and TenguPlant.

Let's talk about plants for a second. With their engine at 1 a piece, then why bother trying to ban anything? Complaining about Glow up bulb is stupid. Dandy does nothing this format.
Tengu isn't huge, so it wont get touched. Tour Guide is an exclusive, so that won't be touched either.

Now, onto Wind-ups.
The deck doesn't do anything in japan (because they don't have shark), so they wont touch too much. Shark can't be, as it's TCG. What can be has been explained.

Inzektors:
Playing the deck, Even I think the pluses I get from killing my opponents cards make this so easy to hit. Knowing that Zektors are popular in japan means this deck is a sure hit for March 1rst. Dragonfly is the engine that sets up turn after turn. So with just reason, we'll see it go to 1.
Zektors are the DSF/blackwings of this format.

Now, in reference to the other posts about decks like Samurai, Samurai have been back seat compared to the rest of the format, and while they do have potential to top, they will not see anything like Gateway being banned. With MST at three and Heavy legal, which it should be, Gateway will not be.
