No one said a Mythic Rare had to be epic
I'm really happy for you, and I'mma let you finish... But:

This now leads us to the next question: How are cards split between rare and mythic rare? Or more to the point, what kind of cards are going to become mythic rares? We want the flavor of mythic rare to be something that feels very special and unique. Generally speaking we expect that to mean
cards like Planeswalkers, most legends, and epic-feeling creatures and spells. They will not just be a list of each set's most powerful tournament-level cards.
A Snake, a Gobbo, and a counterspell aren't "epic".
They're not making a mythic land, they don't want mythic rares to define the best utility cards, which lands are.
As for Tarmo: They're more than likely not reprinting him... ever. They have the same chance of reprinting him as they do Steamflogger Boss.
The snake is epic in the way that it is a mystical creature, rare, beautiful, and highly sought (not the card itself, but as an animal itself, as Lotus anything in Magic flavor is always like that.)
The Goblin is really epic mechanically. Seriously. Try it out in casual gobbos.
And Mindbreak was made mythic because it simply is a good card. They said it won't just be a list of powerful cards. They never said some of them wouldn't be.
And I could see a mythic land, if it were truly something awesome flavorwise, and did something really weird.
And Tarmo is a long way from being printed again. It only got the FS border because it had the words "tribal" and "Planeswalker" in it's text box (reminder text, actually.)
