OMGOMGOMG I knew it! Something big and nasty comes out of the...pylons that forces the denizens of Zendikar to team up in order to protect their world! (Or Sorin used his powers to take control of nessa! OOooOOoooo speculation: B/G Nissa PW card?)

Edit: Does anyone else think the big creature behind them looks a bit like Cthulhu?

meh i'd say more like nyarlothotep on the high end or a shogoth for a lower end, to small to be Cthulhu in my opinion and not tentically enough, although i have a more extravagent idea of what cthulhu looks like

Great, so we have green and black's typical last set union, with more the the requisite number of tentacles.

... sweatdrop

But its not like we didn't already know we were trying to blow up the plane. Its what Wizards does, set in, set out.

"One last perfect verse/Is still the same old song"

...there's not a music emote. I am saddened. cry

Now I have the Poet and the Pendulum stuck in my head biggrin

Well, funny enough, from their backgrounds, it sounds like the roles are reversed; The black character needs help out of fear, need, or inability to perform whatever it is he's back at Zen for. The Green is seeking a source of knowledge and power in a black "ally".

Wow, someone recognized it. I'm actually rather surprised. DPP is a fun album, I hope they do more soon.

Anyhoo...

Role reversal, eh? With tentacles? Hmmm....a few NSFW comics come to mind....

More seriously, though, sounds...trite, actually. Like the rest of the plot. Fortunately, you don't need to know the plot to know the game. Otherwise I'd have been out of the game for years longer than I have been.

Tentacles lia? Im sure you're giving the fanboy's a heart attack with talk like that redface

It does seem like they have a single play book for each set since the Mirage cycle...

Step 1: Introduce world
Step 2: Introduce threat to said world
Step 3: OMGBIGSTUFFTHATBLOWSEVERYTHINGUPINANEPICSHOWDOWN

Rinse and repeat.

edited: to include relevance to older sets which weren't so gold-card oriented.

A friend got me into Nightwish a while back. biggrin

What gets me is how much they stress Zendikar being "So dangerous most 'walkers aren't prepared for it's dangers"... though other than the Roil it seems about as dangerous as Jund, Grixis, Rath, Phyrexia or Mercadia if you get lost (lol twisted physics)

And now I have Tata Young's S,N,B Me stuck in my head. Karma, I guess.

Hmm...I don't remember Weatherlight, Exodus, or Destiny, or Prophecy being overly multicolored.

since the Mirage cycle...

Tempest: Really Lobotomy is the only one that stands out, and none of it's multicolored other than the Slivers (which were a continuation of a theme) were in any set other than Tempest itself

Urza's Saga: None

Mercadian Masques: None

Onslaught: Bladewing the Risen, Edgewalker, Karona, the False God, Sliver Overlord....

Mirrodin: Technically none

Kamigawa: Genju of the Realm and Iname as One.... >.>

Edit: meaning Blocks as a whole

Magic, Monty Python, and a Nightwish fan too! That's it Im stealing you away, Lia. pirate

Also, I've edited my previous post so it's more in line with the"lack of multi-colored cards in older sets."

"The prince of peace, embraced the gloom, and walked the night alone."

This is just another reason why I love our users.

it seems that the symbol and the art are both hedrons coming to gether as one.

Maybe the Hedrons each contain a part of the Eldrazi's power, and by bringing them together, they are awakened.

Also, who says the Eldrazi are bad? To my knowledge, Nissa is some what villain like.

When did I make a Monty Python reference? I know I've made a few, but I can't remember any recent ones. And, I'm already taken. heart Sowwy.

Anyways, I guess not following the story has left me somewhat void of info on Nissa. Is she rather Lorwyn-esque in "Elves are superior?"

Second week of November: around 70 degrees (F) outside
Third week of November: around 40 degrees (F) and rainy outside

About time.

Nissa Revane is a planeswalker from the Xbox 360 game Duels of the Planeswalkers. She made her debut in the Zendikar expansion. She is a fierce elven Planeswalker who has dedicated her life to protecting Zendikar and its treasures from intruders. She is currently opposing Sorin Markov over what to do with the Eldrazi that are imprisoned on her home plane. Sorin would like their seals to be restored and for them to remain on Zendikar. Nissa, however, wants their prisons moved off of Zendikar, as she feels they're a danger to her world.
