last night i was thinking about the whole flavor of the spark for planeswalkers and this brought me back to timespiral block and its texts, mostly the player handbook thingies that they give out in fat packs and they mentioned that one of the first to manifest the new spark was venser, now this brings me to my point they mentioned that either was it an old friend or old face would reapear either way we need a blue walker and vensers creature card was blue and as a suppossed planeswalker who has yet to make his debute it could be him, although this also is unlikely but hey its zendikar unlikely seems normal

Good call. Reasonable guess, certainly.

I feel like Zendikar is the answer to the question "how the ******** do all of these planeswalkers know each other they are like .00000001% of the multiverse's population"

simple .0000001% of an infinite number of planes each with billions to trillions of sentient beings, assuming that their is only one billion beings capable of being a planeswalker per plane 100 would be walkers and seeing as lets say only 10 of them actually realize their a walker so theirs 10 a plane again assuming that the plane only has 1 billion walker able peoples now lets say that we look at the planes that their are sans shadowmoor seeing as its really lorwyn on roids so their are 7 planes so 700 people capable of being walkers and 70 who likely realized they can be walkers, now lets assume that when walking from one plane to the next you meet someone who just doesn't belong such as Channdra on Kamigawa or Ajani at Lorwyn then logic must dictate that he is a walker. also lets assume that certain points on each plane are easier to walk to than others so we introduce port points where if two walk to the same planet at the same time are more likely to meet.

so in mathmatic terms

(.0000001*Se/10)*P= AW
AW*Pp/P=Wm

Or, you could assume that the planeswalkers are just attracted to similar types of things.

Sometimes the hardest thing to do is to look at things simply. XD

See: Zendikar.

The old ones were invariably attracted to eachother, and could sense one another. The new ones lack the near-omnipotence, but they may still possess that inherent magnetism to eachother. Also even though there are trillions of posible planes, there are many that seem to be preferred hangouts; Zendikar, Ravnica, Dominaria, Mercadia just to name a few.

I would love to see Venser show up, it would make me squeal like a fan-boy since I loved his character.... but I worry he may be dead already. I don't know how long current timeline is past the TS storyline, but Liliana's supposed age and the implied length of time Bola's plans took to effect make me worry that it's been longer than a normal human lifespan... and Venser seems unlikely to be the type of Artificer to enhance his body like a Phyrexian or Esperite in favor of longevity.

Questing: Every Evolving Item within 2 days of it's release.

MY SIGN SHOPPE!

how did I miss that? eek
Wow. Sorin + Nissa... And I suppose we will be seeing the Eldrazi in the flesh.
cool!

"Come back when you've matured some! Say, in ten years!!!"

If you catch me whining about not having enough items or gold, kick me in the a** and tell me to start exchanging again. Thanks in advance.
On the Planeswalker thing: Because it makes an interesting story. For every one intersection of Planeswalkers there are presumably thousands (random variable) of non-intersecting Planeswalkers. Their stories would hypothetically not be as interesting, therefore you write about the points of intersection. More compelling story.
It's the same thing Raksha basically said but sort of in reverse. Infinite planes, infinite walkers, infinite intersections. Writer writes what's the coolest.

The first part was actually posted by an author on either salvation or wizards boards at one point, I just forget who...

Hmmm I miss having a book per expansion set. I just this morning read Sorin's background and wonder if the Eldrazi and this ancient Vampire 'Walkers dealings have a connection.... hmmm

This is true. Example; Who the Hell is Parcher!? If anybody lacks my reference, then here's some clarification:

In the Invasion books, Urza was bringing the 9 titans together, he mentions a 'walker named Parcher. Taysir urges him to leave Parcher out of it and eventually decides against it.....

and that's it. No further mention. so, Who is he? he may not have been interesting enough to write about further.

It was said somewhere (as wiki'ed) that it was probably a name drop. I presume to give us a feeling of having more walkers to pick and choose from.

Also writing books about crazy people are either amazing or complete failures, and usually require a certain audience, so I expect he's be hard to do.

I once went to a LAN party. It was my First one ever. They were out of space so they rolled in a small circular cafeteria style table. Since then, I've been

OMGOMGOMG I knew it! Something big and nasty comes out of the...pylons that forces the denizens of Zendikar to team up in order to protect their world! (Or Sorin used his powers to take control of nessa! OOooOOoooo speculation: B/G Nissa PW card?)

Edit: Does anyone else think the big creature behind them looks a bit like Cthulhu?
