Please understand, it's a matter of priorities - I would sympathize but they're Xenos scum, guilty of the sin of witchcraft and tainted by Chaos, and I've got this perfectly good heavy flamer here all ready to use... I'm sure you see my dilemma.

You heard wrong. They are doing Necrons, Possibly Dark Eldar, Possibly Inquisition, and I believe one more 40k race in 2010 for new armies

Well...according to Jervis Johnson, they're working on a secret Space Marine project and refused to say anything else on the matter, Necrons were hinted at, Tau were hinted at moreso. Haven't heard anything about the Fantasy releases yet. Dark Eldar and Inquisition aren't happening this year ='(

They've been saying that for the past 8 years though.
All the money is in armies that sell well, and since Dark Eldar are so old now, they don't sell well. It's more profitable to leave them without an update and produce less models for them, focus on other armies and then when they've got spare cash lying around: revamp the Deldar and mass market them.

Im starting to think about playing this game. Does anyone know what race to play because Im styckon either Necron, Chaos(Thousand Suns), Space Marine (Blood Ravens), or the Sisters Of Battle. Please give lowly noob some advice

The Necrons just got updated rather big time, they are as tough to kill as a Space Marine(Chaos Space Marine). Vanilla Marines(or your Blood Ravens[) are still an okay book and can do everything pretty well. Thousand Sons Are expensive model and point wise. The models are cool and the marines themselves can move and shoot 2 shots at 12 inches or 1 at 24 but they have great armor piercing and can kill a normal marine/necron without them getting an armor save and also you have to take a sorcerer in each thousand son squad but they come in the thousand son box...also you might want Ahriman of the thousand sons since he can cast three physic powers in the shooting phase and his stats are great too. Sisters of Battles rules are in two different White Dwarf magazines and they are out of print so you have to find them on ebay or maybe Amazon. They have a lot of special units but their main troops are as strong as a normal human in the game they just have power armor like Space Marines.
