This deck has gotten me 1st each time I played it at all my local spots the past month. Seems to stomp Blackwings and Glad. Beasts pretty well. Haven't gotten to play a GOOD Lightsworn deck with it though.

The theme of the deck? Simple: Having nothing but the Samurai rely on each other to crush the opponent. A pure Six Samurai deck through and through.

Besides, in a deck with 3 Solidarity, Nishashi holds his own. With just one of each on the field, I have a monster that can attack twice at 2200. I've OTKed because of him and can honestly say I gained respect for him.

If you're "dead drawing" Shogun, then you're not playing the deck right. How hard is it to go (insert little Six Samurai here) --> Grandmaster --> Shogun? If you want to talk about dead draws, Nishashi says hi. He's terrible; situational at best. Triple Irou isn't doing you any favors either, unless your meta is overflowing with people who Set constantly. Why is Kamon mained? What are you going to get rid of with him, Call of the Haunted? He's a plausible Side Deck choice, but mained he is more of a dead draw than Shogun will ever be.

Bottom line, Shogun is the closest thing that Samurai have to a boss monster, and he 100% belongs in here. I guarantee I won't be the only person telling you that. Playing the deck without him is like playing Lightsworn without Judgment Dragon.

You need shoguns Samurais aren't as competetive without them and try teching in gateway of the six.

If what you say is true, you really need to find a more competitive local.
Even with shogun, I've rarely seen even WELL-BUILT samurai decks, which yours really isn't, "stomp over" a well-built blackwing deck manned by a good player.(Though gateway may be able to change this a bit) If it has gotten first for a month, something is wrong...
