At the Darksteel Prerelease, I managed to get a 42/42 Darksteel Colossus using Arcbound Crusher, Spawning Pool, Skeletal Shard and other Arcbounds.

I sacrificed 3 Arcbound Bruisers to the Spawning Pool, putting the counters on the Crusher (Which had gotten to be a 5/5 at some point earlier). Skeletal Shard brought back a Bruiser, which was then fed to the Pool again. Crusher got the counters and now had 18 +1/+1 counters on it. 2 Mana into the pool and out pop two Spawns, making the Crusher a 20/20. I then fed an Arcbound Worker, Disciple of the Vault, the two Spawn Tokens, and several other creatures to the Spawning Pool, dumping all my mana into it until my Crusher became a 31/31. Then Crusher goes into the Spawning Pool, dumping all the counters onto my Darksteel Colossus.

A Judge actually walked over to me and said "That was the most broken play I have seen in months. I must shake your hand."

It's from Stronghold.
I think it works better than the Greaves.
One Oxidize and your combo is gone.

Problem: I played this deck Type II. So all I had was greeves for a free targeting ability.

I stepped out about halfway between the release of Fifth Dawn and the release of Champions of Kamigawa. I only play casual now.

I have an Arcbound deck that uses the same win condition as Ravager Affinity, but I set about to do it without Affinity. But it's banned now... **Shrug** So the two decks I spent alot of time and effort on are worthless in tournament now... so meh.

The only local tournaments: Type 2... and... Type 2... and... Type 2... Oh and then there's those sealed decks for Kamigawa. Oh and more Type 2.

Ye Olde Black Discard/Slaughter deck
Such an old deck with old cards, still rocks.

4 cards (cant remember the name) that cause 2 damage everytime someone discards.
Lots of cards/creatures that force discard
Lots of kill target creature cards
and some chunkey critters for defence

Kinda like my Cephalid deck I want to build...

Cephalid Looter, Cephalid Broker, Underworld Dreams and Megrim. Throw in some black hand control for good measure.
