That's nonsense. Number two and three that is.
Risk needs stragedy just like any other tabletop game where you have to manage resources. And I've had lots of fun playing it, and I am sure that many others agree with me.

Personally, I think atleast some stratedgy is involved. Obviously the luck of the dice roll is major, but even if you get all the lucky rolls, if you've got no clue what you're doing you're going no where. Personally I've always enjoyed taking Europe first and expanding from there, it gives a good place to create your strong hold and can attack into N.A., Africa and Asia, three major continents(even if it is nearly impossible to take and hold Asia).
