Pick a theme and go. Don't play REDD, Armed, AND Horus all in the same deck.

If you play Armed or Horus, you may want to think about Level Up! and similar cards.

I agree with taking out Horus and Buster Blader. I have one (BB), and I'm not sure how to work it in my Dragon Deck. Doesn't he get stronger from the dragons in your opponent's graveyard?

In the past, I've had trouble using level monsters, so I stopped using them and my dragon deck works much better now. It's not perfect, but it suits my needs. smile

If you use Lord of D, what about throwing in a Flute of Summoning Dragon? Or another Red Eyes Black Chick?

For starters, mixing level monsters is a big problem. If you focus on one (eg Horus/Armed Dragon) you can specialise on bringing them out. For most decks 50 is the best. Most people like using 40 as its quick. However, if you run 50 in a normal beatdown deck, you will find you can run a lot of card to assist your monsters.

Fact of Horus, your opponent ASKS if they can play a magic card. You say No, they don't waste spells. You say yes, they play Tribute to the Doomed on Horus. Also, Horus is very susceptible to Ring of Destruction. Then Barrel Behind the Door, and YOU just took 6000 damage AND lost Horus! Also, Silent Swordsman stops ALL magic, even those already on the field, where as Horus does NOT. It's simple to overpower Horus. Here's an effective combo.

I activate Tribute to the Doomed.
You use Horus' effect.
I flip Divine Wrath. Discard one card and you lose Horus!

Horus gets ******** in the a** by Divine Wrath.
