Yes. Snow-Covered Basic Land is still Basic Land and does not fall under highlander restrictions.

oh cool thanks, that helps me out alot smile
there is actually a few decks in EDH that run off of snow lands. (None of which are really top tier but they are not bad either.)
It's not so much that there are decks that base themselves on snow lands as it is that there's really no reason (besides not having them) not to run all snow basics and use at least Extraplanar Lens and Scrying Sheets if you're playing mono colored.

Then there's a few incidental cards like Skred that you can toss in if you're in color.

Also, some of those decks are decidedly top tier. Azami is the one that comes to mind.

I tend to have the worst luck when it came to a lens that i stopped using it completely.
As in it got destroyed or your opponents were playing the same basics as you?

The snow land thing is supposed to make the latter less likely but it depends on meta.

As in it gets destroyed (or bounced) as soon as I played it resulting in a two-for-one situation every single time. stressed

ok i posted my edh deck in this thread smile
Your meta is probably removal heavy. When removal reaches a certain critical mass, Lens ceases to be a good play. You can still run Gauntlet of Power and Caged Sun.

We had a meta for a whole 3 months then everyone decided that EDH was not a fun format and quit. We are the void of casual players between a high level legacy format to the north and a high level standard format to the south. both of which favor EDH as a 'fun' format. Go figure. stare
All of my friends love EDH, im not a huge fan of it, but for the sake of my friends i built a deck
