Alright, I know that the next D&D character I'm going to make will be a fighter, but I want him to have an original, weird kind of build. I don't want him to be the classic kind of tanked out fighter that has a two handed weapon and power attacks coming out of his a**.

So, I come to all of you. I want your input on this, tell me anything crazy you've ever thought of that has sounded cool to you. If possible, try to go in depth with lists of feats, weapons, skills, even a PrC if it tickles your fancy.

Well, thanks in advance, I look forward to all of your opinions.
I don't usually play fighters, but I haven't seen much room for orgionality in fighters. They get good armor and weapons and then go kick a**. The best I can think of is to come up with an orignal and different back story. You might also want to try playing a paladin, barbarian, monk, or ranger.
How about an archer? Take lots of archery feats.
Use a whip or two.. be weird. also try being a weapon finess fighter instead of Str'ing it.
Use a weapon nobody uses. Make a whip-dagger master. Use Darts. Finesse it. Go all out. You have enough feats to do whatever the hell you want.
Try to be a tactical guy. Go for the Combat Expertise Tree and try for trips and disarms. Use a flail or even a spiked chain for this to help. Or maybe you could just dual-wield spiked shields.
All this, and no hair brained scheme? Come on!

First, there is a list of what you can do.
I decided to be a human who went barbarian rogue (its a good class combo, really). So I had all the power I needed i battle if tumbling and sneak attacks were not enough, yet I was able to sneak around better than our normal rogue. It works.
As does a Ranger-Rogue.

Now, if you want a flat out fighter, the archer idea was good, as was the whips and dart ideas. But I have a few ideas for ya.

First, you can be a defensive tank instead. Don't use a weapon. Shield bash everything and wield a tower shield
Or, get weapon finesse, weapon focus, and exotic weapon and be a chain master. That way, you have reach, trip without having to fall, and disarm without screwing yourself up. Without the feats!
Or become a duelist. This was my fav in 3E (since they made them work reasonably well...at least in the case of this guy, who actually had levels fo rogue and only one of fighter!). Get Combat Reflexes, Weapon Finesse - Rapier (or another small, fast, dueling weapon), Weapon Focus: Rapier, Improved Initiative, Improved Critical...things that will increase your ability to take something down without having to have alot of power, basically. So what if that Barbarian hit him for 27 Damage...you were able to hit 5 times at 10 damage a peice with a crit thrown in wink

Well...umm...lets see...
You can do what I am doing right now and use nothing but improvised weaps. I have a spiked chain (who suspects a rogue/fighter to use that?), and on my waist I have 5 10ft segments of silk rope with hooks on the end. I have also been known to use a beer mug, a barstool, a table (flipping it on people), and using the chains to ride creatures around. If the DM is crazy enough to allow an "Improvised Weapon Feat" (I haven't seen a real feat for it yet...just one that an old DM made up), then see if you can do it wink Its fun!

If you need any extra ideas, just PM me. I'll ask around with the d20 guys around here and see what they have if ya need it
Well. My character is rediculous... But I made one (15th level) with a 61 AC, 25/2 DR, some ER, 213 health, and a 42 strength.

He's an interesting character to say the least....

Adored Hunter

You could try going for a DEX heavy fighter instead. Load up on Dodge-type feats, see about getting some boots of Elvenkind and disgustingly plussed-up light armor, work your way up to Spring Attack, and just be the fast fencing b*****d who's impossible to hit.

Sounds like a Munchkin's wetdream.
Beyond my game in which I made PrC for extending the usefulness, I haven't seen anyone become a dual-wielding crossbow specialist. The additional -2 to-hit can hurt a bit, but talk to your DM and see if he can let you come up with new feats or the like to reduce penalties.
A loading belt type of equipment (that enables you to reload one-handedly) is a must. . . Or have a good back-up weapon.
Darn server, doubleposted by mistake.
I say, raise you intelligence, get Combat Expertise, later on get Improved Combat Expertise, along with the appropriate feats to become an...

INVISIBLE BLADE!!!!

Look in the complete warrior, or pm me. Its really cool. You make your enemies flat footed for free once you get to max level. I love him. You can even use Punching Daggers... weeeeoooooeeeee

Oh it is... it most certainly is...

Answer to this: Repeating Crossbows, and the Tempest Prestige class (Complete Warrior).

I'm actually typing it up right now and he seems cool... I'm calling him Wraithe. And... his melee weapon is a Heavy Spiked Shield. I would give him a tower shield, but you can't bash people with that.
