Welcome to Gaia! ::

Alright so I've been playing a Catfolk Rogue for a few weeks now and I have all the stat mods from http://www.dandwiki.com/wiki/Catfolk_(4e_Race)
But I don't really know that much abou the race itself. If anyone has a link to a pdf file or maybe a site that tells the history or culture of Catfolk it would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you.

Why not shape the history and culture of the catfolks yourself. Not only would it help lend some creation to your DM's world, but you'd also be taking a more active role in the game, and perhaps create some adventure hooks that your DM can use later. Creativity doesn't have to be left up to everyone else.
I've done a little bit with pieces I could get from the internet. As far as culture goes they're "nomadic tribes in uninhabited areas" so I decided to take some inspiration from Mercedes Lackey's book the "Phoenix Transformed."
If anyone wants to know what I've come up with so far let me know and I will post.

And thanks again for the suggestion biggrin
Please post what you have, I'd be interested in helping.

Please note that DnD wiki 4e is still in homebrew, and anything I help you with you'll have to run by your DM first.

Other things to note:

In PHB 2 for 4e a race was put out called the Shifter. If you've heard of them this isn't informative, if you haven't here's the basics.

"In broad strokes, shifters resemble humans with animalistic features. Their bodies are lithe and strong, and they often move in a crouched posture, springing and leaping along the ground. Their faces have a bestial cast, with wide, flat noses, large eyes and heavy eyebrows, pointed ears, and long sideburns. The hair of their heads is thick and worn long. Shifter skin and hair are usually some shade of brown. -- Razorclaw shifters are descended from weretigers and are more catlike, particularly when using razorclaw shifting. -- Shifter Characteristics: Active, alert, fierce, freespirited, intuitive, perceptive, predatory, self-reliant, unrestrained, wild." 4th edition players handbook 2; pg 17

Here is a pic of the female shifter; http://i626.photobucket.com/albums/tt348/enosan/shifterfemale.jpg

Maybe that sounds somthing like what you're looking for. If so, I'd ask for a race substitution from my DM seeing as that is a official character race put out by WotC. If not, you/we may be able to base the races history using some of the shifter heritage. -Shrug- Up to you. Hope this was helpful
Catfolk existed in 3.5, found in the Races of Wild book. Go buy a copy and look it through.
Requesting downloads to the .pdfs without purchase is illegal, and Gaia does not approve of such illegal actions >: (
I'm still tinkering with some of it but as soon as I have it finished I will post biggrin
Yes, they were in 3.5's Races of the Wild but the only information they provided was stats, nothing on background and culture. As I said I've been using Mercedes Lackey's book as an inspiration, her Isvaeni characters sound very close to what I've been able to gather together about Catfolk.

Thank you enosan for the Shifter idea, I could use as much information as I can get.

As for your Suffering Planet, I already own a copy of the book as well as pretty much every DnD book in print and few that were created by players. As I said they only supplied the stats, nothing on culture and background.
By the way, I wasn't asking for an illegal download so don't get in a huff. I would have accepted a link to a store where you can purchase the downloads LEGALLY. No need to jump to conclusions. If you have nothing constructive to add then I suggest you take your comments elsewhere.

Everyone else, thank you for the constructive advice and as soon as I have it written out a bit better I will post it.
Thank you

Technically you're right. However, you can go to websites like 4 shared and scribd and get some good info normally a copy of the PDF file that is located on someones shared drive, which if I understand, is not illegal. -shrug-

I'm not trying to bash, I hope I'm not coming off that way, but if it wasn't for the internet a lot of my dungeons would be boring. So I praise the DM's and players that search for external information!

Additionally Chaotic; If you go to 4 Shared, you will be able to find all the information I will be sending you via messages. Go to the website and search "4e D&D". You'll get links to others shared files and you can do research through the downloaded pdf files. I would highly recomend the PHB 2 and the 4e Ebberron players guide. Also, if you have all these books, this would be an amazing site for you to share your own collections smile
