Welcome to Gaia! ::

I don't have any of the core books with me right now, so I can't answer this on my own.

Say I'm a cross-classing D&D character. I've got a level of Barbarian and 2 levels of Fighter (3rd level character). I make level 4 and take a 3rd level of Fighter. I get my skill points and when spending I decide I want to buy some ranks of a skill that's a Class skill for Barbarians, but not Fighters. Do I buy it as a class skill, since I have a level of Barbarian, or as a cross-class skill because I took a level of Fighter?
Cross-class skill, but it counts as a class skill for the purpose of determining maximum rank.

Original Lunatic

7,400 Points
  • Ultimate Player 200
  • Elocutionist 200
  • Generous 100
if you lvl as a fighter you take fighter skills. cross class skills dont become classskills just because you have a lvl as barb
Ok. So I'd buy it at 2 points per rank, but I can make it up to 7 ranks instead of 3.5. Thanks.
