Heh. I don't know what to say about Butcher Jackson but I am confident my fatespinner could own all of them. base that fact that my fate spinner can kill any non "monsterous" creatures on a whim, that kills all except the ifrit i think.. how large was that ifrit? Yeah you get a save, but since the save is like 80 or somthing. you arnt gonna make it. i really cant see how you beat Elminister. even he can pimp down a fate spinner. Why didn't he just trap all of you in a soul jar or something of the sort? besides, Elministers Evasion ((A wizard spell he made)) should have kept him out of any "gems, jars, containers"
But a game is a game and if the DM wanted to let you guys run loose then so be it.
I'm not familiar with a Fatespinner but we were all "monstrous" characters, I'm not sure how you missed that bit.
When we took on Elminster, we were around level 33 and we used the stats for him and all his buddies from the Epic Level Handbook. I don't hink that Elminster's Evasion was mentioned. All our saves were pretty damn good, but he was much more concerned with escape than offense, he had all of Mistra's other little bitches in front of him, but we had thrown a anchor so no one could teleport away. Anyhow, it was a hell of a fight, but that p***k deserved it.
But really, we weren't conventional PC's, by any stretch of the word. We had been power-gaming our monsters from level one to level 33, so we had probably more than ten times the gold that we should have. It was all by-the-book, but we were literally a force of nature on the prime material that left broken kingdoms in our wake. That's why we took the fight to the Nine Hells. Elminster was just a side trip, just to see if we could do it. Because we all hate his pompous a**.
Seriously, though. A fatespinner? Is that even in a WotC book, or is it some 3rd part Mongoose tripe? Killing on a whim should be reserved for Wizards and Deities, and DC 80 sounds a bit... undoable until at least epic level 60.
