This morning.

My ear felt block so when I touched to I heard crinklying and felt something papery. I pulled it out and it was a 3/4 inch dead moth. At least it came out easy.

Hand anything similar happen when you were sleeping?

It wasnt moving, I kinda wonder how it got in there without waking me up.

i dont have a phobia of moths but i have a phobia of anything dead being on me
im always scared a part will break off or something
just no cry

After taking it out? since it came out easy there was no need to worry, and until I got it out I didnt know what it was, or even that it was a animal. Honestly I though I just had a really bad dry wax build up.

Eh I am a biologist (only by degree, not by work, I am a ranger).

So animals/biology dosent really bother me since I understand relativly well. Aka knowing it was out I knew I didnt need to worry. If it hadnt come out then I may have needed to get it syringed or such.

I know of stories of moths which have gotten trapped in ears alive only to be alive when removed hours later.

I had gotten up to use the bathroom about a hour earlier and gone back to sleep. So I know it hadnt been in there too long. And the fact it came out dead and wasnt fluttering as I pulled it out. I wonder if it was dying anyway and just looking for a warm dark spot to crawl into and die. If so, then not really poor moth, it had just choosen a resting place.
