Besides voting in the runaway which grants you 50k each time, play Lake Kindred. It's a game on here similar to Pokemon.

try lake kindred, best way to get gold
then if you have enough start killing sycamore tree (2b per kill depending on luck of drop)

I agree that headband is nice, though it doesn't go well with newer and cheaper item.

Welcome! Runway is a great way to get started, and then perhaps after that you could look into lake kindred. it drops fairly decently priced things. You may need to wait until you can invest in a sturdy kindred first, of course.

Welcome to Gaia!!!

One great way to earn gold is by voting in the runway(as others have said), posting in the forums, playing games, and selling stuff in ur store on the marketplace. There's other ways too, I am sure.

For as long as I have been on here(since '09), I haven't figured out the other way to earn gold. sweatdrop

As for making friends, u can add friends by asking the person u want to befriend and then u can add them(there's a tab of options under everyone's avatar that u can click on and then just select add friend). It took me awhile to figure this one out.

the best way is posting, voting, and playing games.
then selling stuff in the marketplace once you get your trading pass.

as for friends you can search interests and it will pop up with other users with the same interest.
same with posting in forums from chatting and getting to know people you can add them.
been on here off and on since o6.
