This rp is taking place on the island of Okinawa in the city of Jonetsu and the private school of Shojo High. There we find examples of the classic styles of characters from the animes and manga we all know and love. The plot is quite simply romance and each character will have a different character type. For females it will be different types of -deres. For males it will be different types of protagonists.

The main setting is Northern Okinawa, Japan in the town of Jonetsu which is not not far from the beach. But there will be events in various places.
Special things to know about Japanese culture.
1. The main means of transportation is walking, bikes, public buses, and trains. Although many people have cars, they aren't as common.
2. There is a heavy amount of respect for your fellow people. Elders especially.
3. Nudity in Japan is not as severe. Full blown nudity is usually only seen in private places with either same gender or family members such as in bath houses. So if your character is native to Japan then they probably won't be fazed by seeing someone of the same gender naked or even family members.
4. Weird is normal.

1. Follow Gaia's ToS. Respect your fellow rpers. And post in the OOC or main thread at least once a week. Preferably more often. Pm me your profile.
2. This rp is for the most part PG-13. I say most part because I will allow for reference to sex and use of words like p***s, v****a, and sex. We all learned these is sex-ed so I don't think they stand as really bad words. I even allow for you to make sexual innuendos. I draw the line at describing any sex scene or going into too far description for certain inappropriate actions. Describe it like you would if there were children around. Remember to use innuendos and time skips. Highlight the next few lines Label the pm Lovey dovey.
3. This is mostly a romance rp but I'll be allowing some comedic violence as well as serious violence to cause chaos.
4. Every character type has a guideline that I am requiring you to follow. I will allow for some deviation to create diversity. I also request diversity especially for the girls.
5. Uh other basic things like, no making your character perfect. Follow the setting and guidelines. Read all the guidelines. Ask me if you have any questions. And put a ninja at the bottom of your pm.
6. Notice how few rules there are? That's because I think this is all I should have to add. Don't prove me wrong please.

"Special"
On the character sheet there is a spot labelled special. This is what makes your character special. For the girls it would be stuff like odd habits, jobs, or past events. For guys it's what makes them who they are like why they are super nice or why they are cold and antisocial. These should help create diversity.
Here are a couple requested special traits for the girls. They are not only requested but I'm only allow one or two of each of them.
1. Frequent cosplayer. This can mean your character either dresses up a lot or all the time in various outfits including Nekos. This character would lack any embarrassment from wearing weird clothes and may even feel uncomfortable without wearing something like animal ears or a tail.
2. Star or idol. Pretty self explanatory. You can define what type of star like pop, model, or even a sports star. It's basically your character has their future set out for them.
3. Daughter of a military combat specialist. Your character would be extremely skiled and knowledgeable in most forms of combat. Including but not limited to guns, knives, and explosives.

My history is odd, but since you're listening: Vincent is the eldest of two, and the heir of his father company. He has been in and out of boarding schools, talked with tutors, and doing nothing but studying Since he was a child. His father always gets him the top of everything to make sure he prepared for taking over the family business when his father retires. Vince is normally gone from the house, or locked away in his room working on the computer to help his father with new designs for hospitals or helping him with plans, such as business transactions and much much more.Vincent dose not have time for social activities and has grown very distant towards everyone including his younger sister, who he used to be close to until his training started.
Oh! And did you know I Vince is cold and anti social because his father discourages him from social activities, saying that friends get in the way and distract you from your goals. His father wishes perfection from his son and there for Vince has cut off all human interactions.

Most people think I'm one that cares little about anyone or anything. Kei always seems to be smug, confident and more than a little cocky, and he loves messing with people, with no consideration of their feelings and can be very sarcastic. He has no respect and is quite selfish.

Likes: Messing with people, being in control, cigarettes, gummy bears, and though he would never admit has a soft spot for children
Dislikes: Being told what to do, losing, oranges, talking about his past or being reminded of it

My history is odd, but since you're listening: Opposite to his name, Kei had never felt very "blessed". Kei was an only son to a family, that even without a child, had enough of trouble support themselves. His mother was the primary earner, working in a local laundry, while his father had an ill leg which had prevented him from working and had instead wasted most of his time sitting around at home, and most of the time getting drunk. Even without the alcohol he wasn't a nice person, and being intoxicated had made all the worse for his child and his wife, both suffering from his frequent outbursts mentally and physically. Kei was barely 6, when he woke one morning to discover his mother had disappeared and never saw her again. Now alone with his dad, his condition worsened, which had brought to try and find every excuse to be as less as he could at home, and had soon found himself joining a local gang. A day came when he proven himself enough worthy for them to be gifted with a knife. At that very night, his dad had one of his worse tantrums, and in a moment of fright, the boy used his gift. Free at last, the gang became his family until the day he was caught by an officer that decided taking him under his wing, and now, hoping to put Kei in a new course, signed him to the school.
Oh! And did you know I Life at street and at his former home, taught him that only the strong survive , and so he learned how to be tough and strong, and to care for no one but himself for his own sake, so as to never be a pray again.
After being involved at a robbery that brought to his arrestment, he was put under the supervise of a probation officer. With time, the both of them grew close, making Kei familiar to a different way of life then he was used to till now. Their bond grew strong enough that the officer managed to convince him into turning good, and had recently adopted him to give him an opportunity to a fresh start.

Most people think I'm Kind hearted and social of course. Alex is also very defensive of his friends. He also has a secret sadness that he has repressed for a long time.

Likes: Making friends, spending time with people, reading and playing video games, rollerblading, and climbing.
Dislikes: Bullies, seeing people get hurt, and being alone.
Fears: His only real big fear is the fear of seeing someone else give up on life.
My history is odd, but since you're listening: Alex is also very defensive of his friends. He has an anger inside him that he's held in for years.
Bio: Alex grew up in the town of Shelane in America. He lived most of his life a nerd and avoided social activities. He was still kind but he just didn't pursue friendship, mostly because of all the jocks bullying him and the other nerds. He stopped the bullying on himself by beating up the head bully, but never helped the other nerds. He just ignored it like it wasn't his problem. He began to realize over time though that he truly didn't believe it wasn't his problem. Every day he saw it happen he grew angrier and angrier. One day his passive viewpoint was forced to change. One of the nerds, a kid he barely knew spoke to him. He said "You have the strength to protect more than just yourself, and the kindness not to hate them." The next day the kid was found hanging from one of the trees in the school yard. The bullies then decided to taunt the nerds as usual except this time they said some Alex couldn't forgive. "One of you already realized his worthlessness, now it's time for the rest of you." Alex snapped and beat all of the bullies until they were in the hospital. He visited them in the hospital and said. "I don't want to hate any of you, but I can't let you keep torturing others. Please stop so I can show you kindness." That was the pattern that formed around Alex. Every new bully got beat up until they stopped and then they only received Alex's kindness. Pretty soon the whole school saw him as a figure of justice and kindness.
After his second year of high school his father informed him that they were moving to Japan due to his job. Alex didn't mind too much as his mark on the school had already been left and would never be forgotten. Others had followed in his footsteps and taken his mantle. With a determined mind Alex studied up on Japanese culture and language before they arrived so that he could communicate with everyone better. Now on the Island of Okinawa in the city of Jonetsu, Alex plans on leaving a new mark, hopefully this time it won't take as much violence.
Oh! And did you know IAlex could never forget the sight of the boy hanging from the tree and it causes him great anger and agony because he felt he could have saved the boy.

Ichiro is the type of guy to sit and listen to your problems and then do his best to help you through them. He loves to clean and cook and if he gets to know you he will even make lunch for you from time to time. If you get past the way he looks you will see that he is a good guy and an even better friend.

My history is odd, but since you're listening: Ichiro comes from a single parent family. His mother passed away when he was rather young so his father took care of him for most of his life. However his father works abroad now so Ichiro lives alone. Not really minding it Ichiro lived his life like any other normal kid would. Going to school and cleaning up around the house. Since he lived alone he had to cook his own food and before you knew it he became a master at the art of cooking. However thanks to the way he looked he never made that many friends. Most people thought he was a bully or a delinquent. So he has lived most of his life alone. But this never made him bitter or mean towards others. Since he spends most of his time alone he normally watches anime or plays games to pass the time when he isn't cleaning the house or cooking for himself.
Oh! And did you know IIchiro takes martial arts classes. And when he isn't cleaning up around the house or cooking he can be found at the beach fishing or swimming. He is alone most of the time since he does not have friends thanks to his looks.

My history is odd, but since you're listening: Life was hard for little Tripp, he was picked on and bulled by all who saw him up until high school started. He moved from place to place with his mom, his dad left years ago, but he stuck with his mom because she was all he had left. However, despite the bullying he managed to keep his grades, but on the side he had gotten in with a bad crowed. It was a local gang and they helped to build his anger, made him scary and a force to be reckoned with, that was until he wanted out. He wanted to keep having a normal life and these "friends" were going to get him killed, then he found a exchange student program which was perfect for him. Not only would it let him get away from his past, but he could start fresh and not be the bullied or the one picking on others. Or at least he hoped so. So with the first chance he got he packed his bags and got the money for a plane ticket to Okinawa.
Oh! And did you know I Tripp didn't have the greatest school life growing up, he was picked on and bullied by the others around him. It caused him to grow angry at the world and take it out on anyone around him, he got into more and more fights over the stupidest of things. This made him perfect for a local gang, this crowd welcomed him and used his anger to make him feared. However deep down he hated it and knew he had to get away, somehow.

My history is odd, but since you're listening: Up until a little past the age of about seven Blake lived in the U.S. Oregon to be more specific. At that time his parents separated and his mother took him overseas, where she opened a restaurant with a mix of her money and some her parents left her, that was how his life in japan started. His mother had made sure that he learned to speak the language beforehand so he didn't really have a hard time adjusting to life over there.for the most part.
Years later Blake's mother's health took a turn for the worse and didn't show since of getting better, so at the age of fifteen Blake started working in his family's restaurant.and as he got older he had started taking on odd jobs on the side.
Oh! And did you know IBefore moving Blake's mother was a military combat specialist, started passing down what she knew to him at a young age.

Most people think I'm Izzy is an adventurous carefree individual. He is a self proclaimed hedonist, believes anything is worth trying once, twice if it was fun or felt good, and has no qualms admitting he exhibits self serving behaviors. Izzy is not a helpful person but on rare occasions he has been seen assisting those who have hit rocking bottom.

Izzy unlike many of his friends lived a very privileged childhood. This allowed him to develop into the reckless playful individual he is currently. During this wild transformation Izzy conceived a child with a classmate. His parents having decided that Izzy was too irresponsible to handle the situation; handed the baby's mother a large sum of money and asked their family to leave town. Now Izzy is only allowed to occasional visit his child with his parent's permission.
Oh! And did you know II have a child of my own. Izzy's wreckless and adventurous life still requires him to have permission to visit his child.

Likes good food, especially sweets, ice cream is her favorite, animals, warm places's, the wind, and swimming.
My history is odd, but since you're listening: Kari is the only daughter of a wealthy CEO of a medical company who specializes in hospitals, medical supplies and relaxing spas. Anything that can be taken as medical her fathers company has a hand in it or has created it.
Sadly even withe everything she could ever want Kari lives a rather lonely life, Her father expects perfection from his children and as such her an older brother is normally gone, sent to boarding schools and training facilities, or locked away in his bedroom working on god knows what. Kari herself has many tutors who teach her everything from being a proper lady to academics and more. Her father is usually at work or away on meetings or business trips and her mother is a famous fashion designer and actress is always gone as well for various reasons. Kari on her free time tends to wander the halls of their manor alone talking to the paintings on the wall or the servants.
Oh! And did you know I Thanks to her mother being a fashion designer she often uses Kari as her ginipig. Kari grew up sporting her mothers strange fashon and has grown accustomed to wearing wings, tails, ears and other such things. Now, if is not wearing some kind of cosplay she feels vulnerable and naked. so she is always seen with something usual on.

Most people think I'm Full of herself. Etsuko is often seen as overconfident in her abilities but not without reason. She works very hard to project the image of a proper heiress. Because she works so hard she expects a certain amount of respect be given to her and if she doesn't receive what she believes she deserves she will get flustered and frustrated and obsess over it until she can figure out a way to fix it. Under it all she has a terrible inferiority complex due to various family issues and her own self esteem.

My history is odd, but since you're listening: Its not an unusual occurance to adopt a male child in order to continue the dynasty of a particular family. This is what happened to the Watanabe family. Hiroyuki Watanabe was the founder of Diamond & Spade Corporation, a company most known for having the rainbow light show tower in the center of Court Street, you know the one. Unfortunately Hiroyuki and his wife were never blessed with children, but he was hesitant to pass the company down to his next of kin of his older brother's son. Hiroyuki chose to pass on the company in a young orphaned man who also worked in the company along side his brother Kyosuke. Kyosuke was 45 years old when he inherited the company and little Etsuko was close behind. Kyosuke raised his daughter with Hiroyuki's wife, her grandmother, who still owned a decisive portion of her husbands company after the death of her husband. Etsuko loved her grandmother and the old woman doted on the little girl.
But as the old woman got older she had a stroke and became much more maleable. Etsuko's uncle began feeding her grandmother lies. Saying that Etsuko's father had played her husband into handing over the company. The old woman shunned Etsuko from her side and punished her whenever she would be left there for visits. Etsuko began to dread going over to her grandmothers house though she would not tell her father about her grandmothers change in attitude. With her uncle pulling the strings he tricked the old woman into signing over her shares of the company over to him with the notion of putting his own son at the head of the company. Etsuko's father began to put pressure on her to be better. "You deserve it. This is your birthright. There can be no question as to who the true heir is." he told her over and over again. And she complied as best she could.
Oh! And did you know IEtsuko will often disappear after school. This is because she has a full list of activities her father has assigned her. Etsuko has a hard time reading without glasses, she wears contacts during school but feels more comfortable with glasses.

My life is like a written book, but most don't know I fear losing my sister and being alone more than anything in the world. I also don't like doctors, medication or needles. I like making others happy and protecting them.
My history is odd, but since you're listening: Mama and Papa had reveled at the news that they were to have twins. After years of trying to conceive with no luck they had finally been blessed with not just one, but two daughters. It was in the second trimester that things went wrong. Mama went into premature labor and the doctors didn't have time to figure out why as they rushed Mama to the delivery table. Papa caught Sarai as she was born. But Nili never came... Doctor's were initially baffled until they washed Sarai off and realized that hanging out of her already smiling mouth was an umbilical cord. The doctor's explained what "Vanishing Twin Syndrome" meant, but even they could not site a single case in which a twin had actually eaten the twin.
Mama and Papa still tried their best to raise Sarai normally, but there was always something...off about her. When she was still an infant they would listen to her babbling as though she were having a conversation over the monitor. But when they would check on her she was alone. It was when Sarai was 5 that she told Mama and Papa that Nili wasn't happy because they were ignoring her. Mama and Papa were terrified. They had never told Sarai the name that they had intended to give her sister. It was then that they chose to medicate her. And it worked...for a while.
As Sarai matured she began to miss her sister, but by then she was smart enough to realize that if she was going to do something about it, it would need to be done in secret. So she stopped taking her medications, but no one was the wiser because on the outside nothing had changed. To Mama and Papa she was still the same, happy, accomplished and heavily medicated Sarai that they'd come to know and love. She is a beacon of accomplishment at her school. There's nothing she wants more than to make those she loves happy...at all costs.
Oh! And did you know ISarai has two different "personalities". One is Sarai and one is the personality that she has dubbed as her twin sister, Nili. You don't really want to meet Nili. An unusual thing happens when "Nili" is in charge. Sarai's eyes go from vibrant blue to bright orange.

My history is odd, but since you're listening: Shizu was born into a very normal family with her, mother and father. It was a happy life that she had her mother and father. Her mother was the one that taught her to play piano at a very young age. She never felt happier than with she was with her parents. But all good things come to an end and it did for Shizu when she was eight. Her parents went on a trip and Shizu was with her grandmother. It was a really rain day and all the roads were slick. She just remembers her grandmother getting a phone call and all the color drained from her face as she started to cry. Her parents were killed in a multi car accident as they were on their way back home.
Shizu was never the same after that she closed herself to almost everyone except her grandmother. She became distant from others just after the wreck but she could never work on opening back up to others. Nine years have passes since then and she is getting transfered to a new school closer to home because of her grandmother's failing health. She is hoping that she can finally open herself to others again at this new school.
Oh! And did you know I am often seen with a set of headphones on or with a sketchbook she is doodling. I'm also very good at playing the piano and tending to her Grandmother's garden bed while she is sick in bed.

My history is odd, but since you're listening: Kisa was adopted by two loving parents, a kind-hearted mother and her overly-protective father. When she was young there was a bad lightening storm, causing her family's small apartment complex to catch fire. The experience was quite traumatic for young Kisa and she now severely dislikes thunderstorms. The very roll of thunder is enough to make her freeze up in fear. As Kisa's grown she became quite the slacker when it came to school which eventually caused her parents to lose their nerve. They began demanding she get a job since her education certainly wouldn't be taking her very far. Games were always more her thing anyway.. Since she's lived in Okinawa all her life she also enjoys going to the beach to relax and spend time with the few friends she does have. This year she wants to try harder for her parents and show them she can be a good and determinded student.

Born two months premature, she came into the world as a small, fragile existence that quickly took root and began to grow. Unfortunately, due to complications during delivery, the vessel that carried this magnificent reincarnation of a holy power passed away. Thus—with no known relatives to contact—Ama and her six year old sister were promptly put up for adoption. With her small size, Ama had (and still has) a lot of health related issues; while the other kids went out to play, the Uzume sisters stayed inside. Her sister refused to leave the only family she had behind in a bed while she had fun with the others. Thus, the two developed a really close bond—a bond between sisters with nothing to their name but each other.
Years pass, and they’re released from the orphanages custody on the grounds of the elder sister assuming guardianship of the younger. By now, Ama was half-way through with middle school; however, her health took a turn for the worse and she barely managed to graduate to high school on time. She had to be hospitalized for weeks at a time, and without the help of a faithful group of friends who constantly kept her up to date on assignments, she probably would have failed. She watched her sister struggle to keep up with everything being thrown at her-- School, two part-time jobs, a chronically ill little sister—it all seemed so overwhelming.
Ama came to think of herself as a burden. Her sister was always giving to her, and yet, all she could ever do was take. It was unfair. The life they’d been living—the hand they’d been dealt—was unfair. It was then that she decided she would become more than a burden to her sister. She’d become something that would always be there for her; someone who could offer as much as she would take from another.
She’d become a goddess.
After all, she was named after one, right? Her mother had foreseen her righteousness, and thus bestowed upon her a name that cleverly paralleled that of one of the most notable holy figures in Japan. Ama-No-Uzume.
And, so, entering into her first year of high school, Ama Uzume became Ama-No-Uzume, the goddess of fruition, and wit.))
Oh! And did you know I((She is absent from school on a regular basis due to illness, but despite that, she maintains THE best grades in her class. Rumors are floating around that Ama is currently the only student in the history of Shojo High to have DENIED grade advancement due to outstanding academic achievement. She also actually has a bit of a cult following growing around her mangaka blog; but, she remains hidden behind her pen name for the time being. ))

She is seemingly worried about most of the people around her. Her unconditional loving nature seems to stem from a loving background. Her parents taught her well, using scriptures to teach her the ways of love and kindness. To treat others like how one wants to be treated, she takes her teaching to heart. However, she also has a slightly adventurous spirit and has an unhealthy hobby of learning more about things. Perhaps it is due to the fact that she did not yet experience many things due to her slightly sheltered life. Her current desire at the moment is to live as wonderfully as she can. Experiencing and learning new things about the world, bad or good. But her unconditional love is also her flaw. She is too kind, so others can easily manipulate her or trample on her. Because of her purity, she is often seen as naive or stupid. But even so, her love is the stubborn sort, so she doesn't easily give up on others.

My history is odd, but since you're listening: She was born on December 25th as the daughter of a German woman and a Japanese Priest. Her father wanted her to grow into a pure and beautiful person so he named her Kirie, the name of mercy and compassion. She grew up according to her father's expectations, showing morals and good sense from a young age, and was insightful enough to seem precocious to others. She has been actively involved with the Church since her youth, and she often accompanied her father to the holy grounds.
Due to her upbringing and naturally kind nature, Kirie grew to become a beautiful soul that seemed to embody human kindness itself. She never lacked altruism in any situation and always thought about others before herself. Though, because of that same upbringing, she is almost like a sheep that doesn't know the true dangers of the world. She believes in people to a fault and is always selfless and honest to a fault. She is a genuine saint that people have often misunderstood her or thought her to be strange.
Yet, because of that same loving purity, ever since she entered Highschool, she has become
the target of those willing to abuse her trust and kindness as the world's cruelty slowly envelope her white love in darkness.
Oh! And did you know I Kirie is known to be a very good singer as she often joined a chorus in singing religious songs. Some have often related her to the "Lorelei," a siren that charms any man who hears her voice. Her talent is currently "untapped."
