December 14, 3015; America.

The past Millennium has not been kind to Earth. What once was a lush planet full of life is now nothing more than a shell of its former self. Throughout the years large companies wanting nothing more than to make a profit have sucked the Earth dry, drilling holes into the ground, stripping it raw. Coupled with the growing population more things than not have been completely wiped off of the planet. Animals and plants that were once abundant are now extinct, leaving only genetically engineered food for the people to live off of. There isn't a person alive that remembers what a fresh Strawberry tastes like. The air has become so dense that the use of a respirator is now mandatory outside of your own home. Without the advanced technology, the planet would have died out decades ago. American's and the rest of the world have hope that scientists will come up with a way to save the planet, but many don't know the extent of the damage. The Earth is dying, and there's nothing anyone can do to stop that.

A small branch of the government believes they have come up with the perfect solution, or at least the only one they can all agree on. A select few, armed with the knowledge to locate and establish a base, would set out to find an untapped planet, one that could sustain life for a long time to come. No one could know about this of course, because the government had plans to keep this new world a secret from the rest of the population. They believe that the only way for the human race to survive is to take a group of elites, the best of the best, and leave the rest to perish along with the earth. Captain Shade will have to lead the crew, some she has known for years and others who are completely new to her, and find the perfect place to call home.
