The others continued to chat around him, Dante shrugging off the other man's touch as he shifted in his seat. The man didn't seem to mind however, seeing as he was too busy knocking back another mug of brew; something Dante needed to do. There was no way he was going to let these men catch up to him. So, he knocked back the rest of his drink and slide the empty cup into the middle of the table. He had lost count as to how many he'd drunk already, but if he had to guess it would be somewhere in the high twenties. "I bet ya twelve doubloons ye can't drink another five brews." He wiped his chin with the back of his hand as a small hiccup escaped. Dante turned to the man, eyes narrowing slightly; a look that clearly said 'challenge accepted'. "Get yur gold ready, lads!" However, before the challenge could start a familiar face came into view. He was a mate of Dante's; Loras. They both worked on the Krakan and had even spent some time together off the ship. He seemed a decent enough lad and good company, so of course Dante became attached to him. A smile grew on his face as he stretched his arms wide in welcoming. "Loras!" His name came out slightly slurred, but no less than happy to see him. "Jus' in time to witness me win twel' doubloons!" His arms lowered as his next round of drinks were set in front of him.
The others welcomed him much the same, raising their mugs in greeting. "Tryin' butter us up, lad?" "Gentlemen. 'Aven't heard that one before." The two chuckled, clacking their mugs together. "None a' ya bastards are that sort." He cut in, taking a swig of his drink before looking to Loras. "Been here long?" He was curious. Had he overlooked him in the crowd?
