Kanon used to be a skilled samurai and was involved in war. After a near death experience left him frail and week he moves to a small town and finds work as a tailor. He is good at his job and in his free time embroiders coats with elaborate scenes as a form of art.
Personality wise he's optimistic, outgoing and friendly. Perfectionist at his work, and professional (being able to take measurements of women and see them change with no looks or thoughts) He still holds some sadness and guilt over his past life, and buries it because he likes his bright future.
