Whoever decided to call it the 13th year didn't even calculate it properly. Instead of doing year to year = 1, they just did year, year, year, year, etc..

How can you make that mistake? Omg./

EDIT: Maybe they had two balls in 1 year? I'm looking back.

Hint: the 3-15 range contains the same number of integers as the 1-13 range. If the first was in '03... run the sequence of ordinals, and be amazed. 3nodding ninja

I counted like four in 2004 based on what I could find.
I guess they lumped them all together.
But there are still 13 separate events (if you count 2004 as 1 and only 1) even if the years are off from a duration point.
