In the original Assassin's creed, In Damascus, I talked to the guy there 7got my mission. But there are no spots to listen or pickpocket etc. no matter how many towers I climb. I beat William of Montferrat in Acre, then headed back to Damascus. Now what?

From memory, you have to find a tower that allows Eagle Vision which isn't on the map before you can start your mission. Which sucks but, hey, it adds difficulty.
