I'm up for a promotion...in fact, the company created a position for me. And so they have to post it for other people to apply...and my co-worker, who I trained, is also applying for it.

I don't even know how I feel about that. I think mostly I'm nervous that she'll get it and that'll be awkward since she asks me to explain things every day.

company policy that everyone should have a chance.

The job is to pretty much do what I already do...it's a Customer Service Lead...so I fill in for the manager when she's gone (which is often since we are expanding as a company), training, product specialists, and a liaison between departments.
