Probably because I think everything needs to be a joke just so it's easier to cope with.
As an example, making jokes about Hitler is better than not because if you make him a joke, then his s**t ideology and s**t actions are less likely to be taken seriously. I don't mean that in a "the holocaust was a joke" way, I mean that in a "he was a ******** lunatic moron, what kind of degenerate would think that was a good plan?" way.

If that makes sense. Also tl;dr I know.
