once
I told a nurse I needed a couple seconds to centre/ground/calmdown myself because I don't do needles
and she's like sure chill dude
and then IMMEDIATELY
goes for my arm

turns out
when I am scared and upset
my instincts work quicker than my consciousness, because her wrist was in my hand and held far away from me before I even realized it

she had to leave the room to calm down

I was like

YO

I ******** TOLD YOU

I NEEDED A GODDAMN MINUTE

Jfc rly? Don't complain until you have to spend an entire day letting your classmates practice starting an IV and blood withdrawal on you. There's nothing quite like a needle being inserted into your wrist below ur palm.
