This sort of system works in something like an MMO, where you can get benefits from becoming a couple. For example, Ragnarok Online.

They always do. Which is why alot of this site is slowly sinking into the pits of Hades.

Well, they sort of it.
All the tiered items are white and/or wedding related smile costs money to get those. so if you wanted to dress your avi like for a wedding... yeah. but it isn't required.
gaia is free to play, so it'd be bullshit if they charged real money for it imo

I don't know why people aren't just satisfied with putting they are married in RL in their sigs or profiles.

I guess.

But I really disagree with the way they handle all the cash exclusive things.

Reason I don't buy GC anymore. Also, because costumer support is MEH at best and I don't plan to give my money again to the same people who never updated me when my account was hacked, so I was never able to get my items back aka "a refund."

IN ANY CASE.

Online relationships do weird things to people, and being that this is a site with a profile engine, creating a relationship system is actually logical and probably should have been kept from when they got rid of personals imo.

It's okay, I find that earning gold on Gaia is very easy, but I don't really get any joy from accumulating gold/items. I do find joy, however, in finding creative ways to give it out xD (it's even more fun when you're anon)

yeah it's kinda bs lol i don't buy gaia cash at all since i have no money haha

customer service does suck unless it's having to do with money. I also have been hacked and they've taken their sweet time on getting back to me on it. scream
