Like the heading says, if you could bring back any "Doctor Who" character from any point in the show's history, who would you choose and why? It doesn't matter if they were a hero or a villain; if you'd like to see them again, even if it was only for a one-off appearance, say so.

And Jaime McCrimmon. I've only seen bits and pieces of him. (Still in the process of watching the classics) But from what I've seen I really like him.

I agree, with Jack and Jamie. . .both would be interesting to see how they interact with Capaldi's Doctor. . .especially since both Jamie and Capaldi are Scottish. . .

I would also love to see River Song. I really think she and Capaldi would be very interesting.

It would be nice to see what happened to Susan and to Jenny.

I would have loved to see Osgood as the Doctor's Companion, but Missy destroyed any chance of that.

Me three for Jamie. I even have an idea for how to do it. The actor is still alive and a lot older but in the canonical the Sarah Jane Adventures it mentions that Ian and Barbra are still alive and haven't aged. Maybe Jamie is still alive but has aged, so maybe when the Doctor meets Jamie again the goal is to allow Jamie to get his final rest. A little dark, but then again this is a darker Doctor.

I'd love to see the Shapeshifting Penguin appear on the show, and may have Rani and Clyde from SJA show up for a story or two.

Oh and I'd love to see K-9 Mark I pop up maybe in his K-9(series) body.

From the show: Jamie and Zoe, Romana 2 (didn't really like 1), Nyssa, Leela, Ace, Barbara and Ian, Donna, Rory, Sarah Jane.
