Alicia pouted when she heard Tiberius scold her but inwardly smiled. He hadn't forgotten she was supposed to come with him. He hadn't replaced her with that blond rogue idiot "So how far do you plan to go Tibby?" She wasn't going to stop calling him that, because it was hers and hers only to call him.

Tiberius tried desperately not to slap Alicia and settled for a gentle knock to her head "As far as my body can take me" He continued forward once those words came out of his mouth. He was sure the mage would follow, as she always did.

Alicia smiled at his response, trailing slightly behind him. She would go with him to the ends of any world and carry him when he could no longer manage on his own. That alone was her happiness. She blushed just picturing them adventuring together for the rest of their lives.

Taylor smiled at her and whispered "Good morning beautiful." he blushed as well as she did not wanting this moment to end, but he knew it would soon, so he took initiative and leaned into kiss her lips. "S-sorry" he said as he stopped himself thinking that she wouldn't want to kiss him upon just waking up.

Marielle blushed a little upon hearing his words and it intensified as he seemed to go for a kiss then decide to stop short "Good morning" she mumbled, still feeling a little sleepy. Then with a deep inhale, she decided to take the initiative and leaned in the rest of the way, planting a kiss on his lips before hurriedly backing away with beet red cheeks.


Marion managed to finally get behind the minotaur and stab her dagger into it's spine. Thanks to it's make, the blade broke the bone and severed the nerves and the beast fell to the ground. She jumped off it's back and panted heavily. She definitely wasn't in any condition to go deeper. She closed her eyes for half a second before rushing off to the entrance. She lucked out and the dungeon didn't seem intent on trapping her. She made it back the the entrance, though the pain was starting to get to her. She had a few healing solutions made with water from the healing spring, but even healing herself wouldn't do anything for how exhausted she felt. She had to make it back. She had to say sorry to Marielle. She realized she'd lost her rations and vials back in the dungeon. She mentally cursed herself out but wasn't about to turn back. She'd definitely need to add an apology to Marielle's dad for losing the concoctions he'd wanted her to test. She made it back to town but collapsed just a little ways in.


Mim snatched up the apple, which had fallen at someone's feet, with an utterance of "..Don't move" Then she briskly rubbed the apple off on her skirt, since it was the only outright fabric in her armor she could use for such, before taking a bite out of the apple. She could feel the slightly bruised spot from where it'd hit the ground but it'd otherwise resisted any damage. She gathered up her rations once more, dusted her skirt and began walking. Time to enter the dungeon and hunt. As she reached the path she found a person on the ground. She squatted and poked the person. They were still breathing. Come to think of it, the outfit looked familiar. She'd heard of this rogue. She belonged to Wave familia and was one of the noisiest that she knew of. She shuffled her rations to her one hip and lifted the blond. The first place she thought to take her was he tavern, since plenty of Wave familia member's hung out there. Maybe one of them would take of taking care of the passed out blond.

Tiberius continued onward. More groups of lesser goblins tried to stop them and he cut them down effortlessly. This was getting rather tedious. He wondered just when they'd encounter some of the stronger residents of the dungeon.

Mim made it into the tavern and rushed up to rhe first Wave Familia group she found and plopped Marion into the lap of the mage ".. she needs help and she's yours.." the mage began questioning Mim but Mim just walked away. She didn't have time for chatter. She left the tavern and looked to the sky. It was already too late to go make a safe dungeon run and she wasn't about to go back to the Fang Familia HQ so she sat down and pouted.


Marion regained conciousness seated next to an older mage from her familia. when she asked hiw she got there, tge mage meantioned that the valkyrie of Fang had juat plopped her on the mage and she had to spare a recovery elixer sibce she was a combat mage and hadn't mastered healing yet. Marion thanked her before carefully getting up and returning to Wave Familia HQ to bathe and get proper healing before visiting Marielle to apologize for earlier.

Alicia followed and helped Tiberius clear the pests that got in his way. Then the bellow of a minotaur coming from deeper within "Guess the real challenger is coming to say hello" She murmured with a smirk before leaping over the last group of dead lesser goblins and heading straight for the hulking beast. It was definitely tougher appearance wise, but would it be a worthwhile challenge? She doubted, considering who was right behind her. She began blasting it with much strong fire spells, distracting it with pain while she waited for Tiberius to catch up.

Marielle got up and left, seeing as things had gone quiet and she needed to talk to her parents. When she came out of the room, she found them gathered at the counter and whispering back and forth. She caught the gist and made her presence known. She told them everything she could about her feelings and found them to be far more accepting than she feared her Familia and it's Guardian would be. After that, a member of her Familia came in with news that Marion had returned in sore shape from the caverns with mention of the Valkyrie of the Fang being involved somehow.

Marielle could help but jump to the conclusion that Marion had tried to kill something that had been the Valkyrie's target and had gotten herself beaten. She asked the messenger where her friend was now and found her to be in the most inconvenient place for the second discussion they'd need to have, Wave Familia headquarters. Without a word to anyone else, she rushed out the door, through the street and into the Familia's head quarters. She got word her friend was in the bathing area and hurried there. She stopped to remove her garments, since bathing would be the best way to get an up close and personal discussion with her friend. She waded into the bath once fully undressed and sure enough amid the steam was Marion, looking rather haggard despite the healing water "Marion!" She swam over to her and tried to give her best smile "are you okay?"


Marion had only spent a few minutes within head quarters and even less so in the bathing area before the sound of someone entering and her friend's voice hit her ears "Y-Yeah! I'm totally okay! No worries, see?" She said as she held her hands up, trying to bring more confidence to her friend's smile "Are ya still mad at me..for..ya know..this morning?" She watched the younger girl vigorously shake her head 'no' and sighed in relief "That's good..hate to a lose a good friend like you Marielle" She patted the younger girl's head. She knew that was the most they could speak about that situation here but she definitely made a note to further question her somewhere they could be alone.


Mim spent a few more minutes sitting before rising to her feet. She had no clue what to do but head into the tavern and mingle amid the patrons, maybe pick up news worth using on her next hunt. It was better than brooding or doing some risky hunting when the monsters were likely to be far more aggressive. She entered and found a vacant table near the back to idle at while she came up with some plan for the next day. She settled at it and began going through rations, figuring out what she could sell and what to return with to give the kids. Fang familia always picked up strays, much like herself, who were too young to join a familia but had no one else to go to. Probably to boost their numbers come ceremony day. As far as she knew, she was the only member with any semblance of fame or recognition and it was more infamy than anything else.

Tiberius followed Alicia to the Minotaur and rushed towards it before using his momentum to spring forward and slice off the beasts head. It sliced cleanly off and the beast fell backwards. Tiberius looted the materials he could off the corpse and turned back to Alicia. He had to admit, as reckless as she was, she was a good partner for this place.

Marion finished bathing after a few minutes of silence and motioned for the younger girl to follow. Once out of the bath and back in the changing room, she found her casual garb and dressed. She noticed that there was also clean clothes for Marielle, meaning another member had been by to bring them both clothes. She waited til the younger girl had followed and gotten dressed before grabbing her hand and leading her back out of headquarters. She looked around the now mostly barren streets and decided the best place would be the field outside of town.


Marielle followed along with Marion, dressed in the clothes that had been provided for her, and came out into the barren street. She watched Marion's face go pensive before she was off and moving again. She could guess why and after some time of walking they reached the field. She knew what was coming next. It started with Marion surprisingly fumbling with words before bombarding her with all the question she expected. She explained everything about her and Taylor and the situation to Marion. She felt it was only natural to tell her best friend after her parents and hopefully garner more support. She watched the older girl's expression shift the entire time and it ended on a pensive and weak smile. She wasn't sure what that meant, but she let the silence hang while Marion processed everything.


Mim had been enjoying the solitude of her table when a fist hit her table. A purple haired female stood before her with a cold glare "...Can I help you?" The female didn't respond and instead grabbed Mim by the neck and flung her to the floor with unsurprising ease. The other patrons stirred and all became silent. She wasn't surprised anyone was jumping to her rescue given her reputation. She got up as quickly as she could before the female brought her fist down into her face. She maneuvered behind the female and hit her in the dead middle of her back before dashing out of the tavern. She knew the female and had hoped she was wrong about why she'd approached her, but ultimately was shown she was indeed still after Mim's life. Not for the reason some might have been, but simply because she saw Mim as a rival and wasn't about to let a rival shapeshifter live. Mim didn't really have that instinct outside of hunting, but she was odd in general, so it could simply be attributed as another quirk.

Taylor sighed after he realized that Marielle had left, so he got up his wounds still not fully healed, and walked out of the tavern only to find it surrounded by a group of Marielle's familia. "I figured this would happen..." Taylor said as he placed his katana onto the ground to show he will not fight back, instantly the people attacked him and began to beat him senseless until he was lying there on the ground bleeding with his wounds from the dungeon reopened. "M-marielle..." he whispered as one of the familia members kicked him in the stomach to shut him up, they dragged him to a cross that was already hung up, and tied him to it for the whole town to see what happens when two people from different familia's fall in love. "You.. can kill me, but.. my love for Marielle will never go away." Taylor hung up at the cross waiting there embarrassed that he was being used as a public display.

Marion had just fully processed what her friend had told her when a lone mage from their familia rushed towards them and cast an entrapment spell on Marielle. Marion immediately switched to completely instinctual mode and rushed the mage, breaking her concentration and freeing Marielle shortly after "Why are you after one of our own?!" "word has come that she has dared to dabble in taboo and is to be brought to the familia head to answer for her actions" Marion let out a low growl. How in the hell did they find out this fast?! She motioned for Marielle to run for it while she continued to try and keep the mage in check.


Marielle watched Marion combat a fellow mage from their familia before running towards town. If she could convince the head of her familia, maybe they could avoid anything severe occurring. However, upon reaching town, not only did she hear angry chants but at the center of town hung a rather frightening sight. Members of her own familia surrounded an erected cross where Taylor had been hung. She began trembling before casting a spell, disseminating the cross but leaving Taylor unharmed. She then approached the leader, anger taking over her normal demeanor "What gives you the right to treat Taylor that way?!" The leader, a male knight, didn't flinch but rather socked Marielle in the gut before calling for two of his buddies to take her to the head of their Familia. She barely could fight them off and ended up dragged into the Familia HQ before she could get her answers from the male or check on Taylor. Once inside, she was led to the guardian's chambers and forced in and into a bowing pose before the human form of the master of her Familia "Marielle Sage...I am gravely disappointed you would consort with a member of another familia without coming to me first.." The guardian motioned for the duo who'd escorted her to leave before continuing "What do you have to say for thyself?" "I apologize for not coming to you and consulting you, Guardian, but I will not abandon my feelings..Is there a hope of reconciliation for this act without the risk of bloodshed?" The Guardian stood silent for a few moments before approaching and placing a hand on her head "The only way to absolve this is to either execute or exile you and your consort before it becomes a greater problem...Otherwise, law will fall and what has come to be will go with it" Marielle looked up, eyes filled with tears and body trembling "I understand. Which do you wish for me?" "I do not wish to see such a bright mage slain, so I advise you to escape with your life in exile, but the head of Night familia must also weigh in on your fate" With those words spoken the doors to the room shuddered before blowing open and revealing the guardian of Night Familia"Well, well, this is the other little violator, ne? " She murmured as she approached Marielle and cupped the girl's face in one hand, squishing her cheeks together. The other Guardian nodded, wary of having a Guardian of an opposing familia walk brazenly into his domain, but it couldn't be helped with the current situation "Well, as much as I'd like to agree with your stiff of a Guardian, I'd much rather keep ya...want to change allegiance instead? The guardian of Wave familia growled "You know that is forbidden!" "Only if she joined as is..but if she died and per-say, came back then your mark on her would go POOF and she could come be my plaything with no harm to her boy-toy" "How would you explain to not only her family but to NOVAs her sudden death? And what blasted and unholy method would resurrect her?""You know well my methods of resurrection and her death could easily be the public execution that NOVAs would want in a case like this"Marielle glanced between the two, taking in their exchange. Would she choose the risk of death and resurrection or take her chances with exile? Neither appealed since it meant she'd lose her parents, her friends and her old life. Why did such a cruel law have to exist in the first place?!

Taylor would barge into the HQ and stare at them having heard the entire conversation "I will die and resurrect to join Marielle's familia. If it means that she and I can finally be together then I would travel to the end of the world!" he screamed his eyes turning crimson showing he was very adamant in his choice, so she did not have to sacrifice herself, and lose everything she had worked for whereas he had nothing, but her. He looked towards the night familia guardian and smirked "That would of course mean you lose your strongest member. So unless you wish to lose me you could wave your little rule. Otherwise I become a member of her familia. Your choice guardian." He smirked as he looked towards his lover ready to give up his nothing so she could keep her everything hoping that they could work something out and continue to be together.

The Night familia guardian turned to Taylor, expression unchanged from her usual smirk "As much as I don't care for the law, I can't ignore it either since that be a too strong change too soon, and it would break this place..However, even if you did die, how would you reincarnate? I certain could help ya, but I rather gain a cute mage than lose a strong tool"Then she glanced at the Wave familia guardian"Plus this guy would have to grant your reincarnation the right to join his familia..So your little push is rather silly,ne?" Then the wave familia guardian cleared his throat before saying "As much as the idea of illegal reincarnation disturbs me, I would accept the boy if it meant saving a prodigal mage like miss Sage" The Night familia guardian laughed maniacally "I never thought I'd hear such a stiff like you support a silly kid's delusions of law dodging! Truly just being in this situation with one of your own has clouded your judgement" she then turned to Taylor "I have a proposition for you little boy, you interested?" Marielle continued to silently watch the ongoing discussion, trembling ever now and again while her eyes flicked between each person.
