Unfortunately, just attacking doesn't grant you Snowflakes - you get those by clicking the snowflake grant link that Fafnir posts in the thread he's killed in. The grant links are only good for about 15 minutes - after that, they expire. Try keeping an eye on the huge Fafnir Spotting thread's first post - it updates when he's killed with the fresh link. 3nodding
