Okay, so the look on Nicolae's face after recovering his hat for some reason made me think of the children's picture book I Want My Hat Back by Jon Klassen. It's about a bear who goes around asking various woodland creatures if they have seen his hat, then realizes one of the animals he talked to was wearing his hat, and it ends...well, here's an edit including the first and last pages with Nicolae thrown in the middle:

But as many funny glaring looks as Edmund gives Nicolae, and given Nicolae's reputation, I used that story to make this comic:

Okay so my first thought was that Don Kuro is going to become a trope. So when he's able to take over he returns to his small demeanor but when Nyx takes over either we see Nyx or we see a bishi Don Kuro...
