Nope, I just didn't like your analogy.
It was weak.

No one would actually make a chocolate teapot in the hopes of putting boiling water in it and it still being there after a few minutes.

And my statement is true, if you can't afford it- don't spend it.
It's called saving your gold, it applies to real life too.

But you don't see people crying out that they lower the prices at stores so they can afford to buy th..

I have no problem with the new amount. 10k is just as pitiful as the 25g that it originally was when tipping was introduced. I don't know how many times I've wanted to tip someone multiple times because I really wanted to show love for the post that was made. Now I can with the 10k and feel like I have tipped multiple times.

If the post isn't worth a 10k tip then you just don't give it one. ^_^

EDIT: Ha! tipped two posts and did last 2 daily chances and got 63k in gold. =3

The concept of not tipping is just so radical for some people it takes away any and all logic.

It's a thing that a lot of people have been asking for, really.

Personally I would have liked it better if they'd made the tips either customizable or at least given users a choice. Like when you hit the tip button, being given a choice of tipping of say, 25g, 10k and 1 mil.

I am glad they upped it, though. 25g might as well be literally nothing. 10k is still nothing, but still a nice little 'hey! I liked your post!' Granted I might be a little more wary of when I tip (maybe XD We'll see), but I still like the 10k vs. the 25g.

If w'ere going to be tipping 10,000 gold, then the amount for posting should be 10,000 gold as well.

Or better yet.... biggrin

...Since the previous tipping amount was 25 gold, the same ratio should be maintained. Posting gold should go up to 40,000.

(And yeah, I know the posting gold amounts are curved to start at about 110 and then they go down. They reach 1 or 2 gold somewhere between 20 and 50 posts later, if you're bumping. I wouldn't mind if the 40K came down to 1 or 2 gold in the same time, but in that case, it should start at around 44K.)

You do realize how completely atrocious this virtual economy is that a measly 10k is equivalent to what 1 gold use to be? 10k isn't a lot anymore. Besides you get that amount plus more back when doing the daily chance. So there is no lost on your part.

Not everyone has 700 billion gold in their inventories, a fact most of the dissenters cannot wrap their heads around. So, yes, for some people, myself included, tipping can now eat away at your total amount of gold substantially.
