Just like some of us have speculated and feared, gaia has decided to pull the plug on zomg. Resource: here

gaia_spoons How do you feel about this?
gaia_spoons Were you one of those who frowned upon this would happen?

As many of you know we shut down zOMG! to perform critical repairs to the game servers. Particularly we were addressing some critical vulnerabilities in the server infrastructure. We could not give a specific repair completion date because the extent of what systems the repairs would make to the game were unknown. Sadly, the changes needed were extensive and due to both hardware and Engineering limitations we had to make the tough call not to proceed. This means our beloved zOMG! MMO will not be making a triumphant return.

Well, kinda bummed..but I hope they replace it with an even better mmo......maybe an mmo version of Monster Galaxy with zOMG elements? .u.

I suspected it but didn't want to admit it. One of my more optimistic friends assured me it'd be back too so I ended up coming back to Gaia in general.

So really I'll probably leave. Maybe not right now but once I finish the avis I'm working on I don't see what would keep me here. I'm not really sad or anything honestly I'm really pissed off.

Gaia is grubbing for money every chance they can (Multiple times a day no less) and they can't afford to fix zOMG and bring it back? That pisses me off and really ******** disappoints me. That's why I've really got no intentions to stay.

Disappointed in Gaia, Sad they had to take it away.

My new home will be my house in towns/towns 2.

Unfortunately i don't have any pictures of zOMG! but there is multiple videos of zOMG..?

They better replace it with something good like a new game considering Alchemy needs zomg loot.. OH WAIT! GoFusion is our new Alchemy! rolleyes

doesn't surprise me.
many have speculated they weren't even planning to do anything with it,
but the reason they took it down to begin with
was to take it down permanently.

it's damn sad, i have to say.
i didn't play it myself, never really got into it,
but i'm absolutely sure others had a very lovely time with it,
and maybe one day i could've seriously tried it myself.
now i can't even fantasize about that. cat_rolleyes

all i know for sure is that it's a huge chunk off of
the little fun Gaia still has had to offer.
this is just one milestone along the road to ruin for this site...
which, i'm afraid, is probably not far now. -_-

very little is left anymore.
the community has lost their spirits,
and nothing is being done to raise the morale.
the new management has effectively killed Gaia.

I'm alittle sad that zomg is gone.
I wish they would re-release all the zomg avi items such as the sdplus dolls.
Zomg was where i met everyone on my FL.
Looks like towns 2 will be my new home.

Well, that blows. I remember grinding on that thing and having fun with random people constantly.

Why the hell would they go and do this? They have a plethora of people buying Gaia Cash and giving them enough money, they could afford to fix a game that So Many People enjoyed.

I really liked going on and crewing up to play in different areas....

I'm just shocked that they would disappoint such a number of people who like to play and were waiting.
