...really brings up my hope with Borra. I still ship them like crazy.

Then again, I see Korra who's like:

I like Opal as a character, but I don't think she's...err...complex enough to be anyone's love interest.

I feel like Opal is just one of those characters who shouldn't date.

Like, Bolin doesn't deserve all this crap from Opal either. First time seeing each other in a long time, what does she do?
She gets mad at him. Because of Kuvira. I HATE HER OMG.

Eh, I guess I'm in the minority. I never liked Borra, and feel Bolin and Korra make better friends. And I also think Opal's actually a good match for Bolin.

I really didn't feel their argument was that bad. Couples argue and disagree, it happens.

All of my this. I believe that introducing her brother, pitting her against Kuvira and pairing her with Kai are all attempts to rectify this, but they're so... late.

I figure if Korra does end up with someone it'll be someone new or someone we never meet she meets after the series ends.

I just recently got into Borra; maybe because I married my 'Bolin'. I just feel he's a sweet guy who deserves someone less "Oh, yes, how nice" and more "Let me contribute to our lives together!" straightforward and less shy.

Opal hates everything that Bolin is fighting for (not that Bolin knows what he's fighting for since Kuvicoocoo is keeping her true objectives 'secret'); and with Opal being an airbender, she's going to be more distant than Bolin will like in the long run, I think.

Opal's my least favorite character. ._. I really dislike her voice actress. Her voice sounds really fake.

And yeah I've shipped Bolin x Korra since season 1. xD

Granted, I don't doubt that Bolin and Opal will probably reconcile and continue their vanilla relationship, but another fun thing to keep track of is that, if you look back, Bolin has had a different romantic interest every book thus far.

I think the only couple I really ship from that show is Kai X Jinora. they're adorable together. I think the creators of the show have been doing a good job with showing that everyone is flawed and not all relationships work out just like in real life. there were so many people who shipped korra x mako in season 1 and then during season 2 their relationship ended because it just wasn't working out.

I love both Bolin and Korra but I like their friendship more than seeing them as a couple and I think it really showed that Bolin had just a crush on her. hell he had a crush on Eska too and he realized that was a mistake. LOL!

I think Opal and Bolin have a lot of potential they just need to develop Opal's character more. They didn't really develop her much last season but I think they will this season. The creators will either show that Opal and Bolin will work through their differences and come together and out stronger as a couple or that they will break it off because they weren't able to work things out.

As for Korra, honestly I don't think the creators are going to put her with anyone. They have even said in interviews that they're not really focusing on a love interest for Korra but rather develop her more as a character and have her find love for herself. I think they're going to focus more on her friendships with everyone and have them grow stronger.

As of right now, Korra is in a complicated part of her life questioning her existence in this world. I think she's very relate-able to adults going through this very same thing. granted we don't have elemental powers. But most people in their 20's question what their purpose is and what they should do. We all have our downs and obstacles to get where we want to be in life.

I still totally want Mako and Korra to be together. They moved pretty fast so maybe it'll never happen, but I adore Mako's character. As far as Opal and Bolin go, meh. Opal's okay. I do think Bolin at this point deserves a nice, not crazy girl. yum_puddi

Seeing as according to the Avatarverse earth is airs elemental opposite, I see Bolin and Opal's relationship crashing and burning similar to Korra and Mako who were also elemental opposites.
The most logical thing is to develop Opal's character more and have her end up with either a nonbender or a person who isn't her elemental opposite.
Then Borra could finally happen. heart
