Q: How do I know how much gold I get for entering a piece of art?
A: What you would need to do when you fill out the form for submitting the art is click the drop down on "Post Actions" and select "Random Number" then in the fields put 100 to 1000. And when you hit submit it will generate the number of gold you will get for entering. Please not that it will be in the million/billions, winning up to 2 billion if it's your first entry. Don't forget that the first entry will get what number they get from the number generator doubled.
Q: There is another person doing this in there contest, did you get this idea from then and if so did you get permission to use there idea?
A: Yes I did get this idea from my friend Lizardlea13 (her contest can be found here
Liz 88 OC art contest) and I did ask her first before doing this myself
3nodding she told me that she didn't mind me using her idea.
Q: May I PM you if we have questions about the contest or what to submit an entry?
A: Yes you may PM me question, but please make sure you read everything first on the first page and the character info, most questions can be answered by reading everything, but if you have gone through it all and you still have questions, please feel free to PM me. You can also PM your entries to me if you want as well
Q: Have you ever hosted other art contest on here before?
A: Yes I have. I've had three others besides this one in fact. They where all extremely successful in my opinion. Here are the links to them so you can see how they went for yourself. (please do note that that they where under my old mule for most of the art contest)
Avatar the Last Airbender OC art contest
Celestial Being OC Art Contest
Heirs to the Legend OC Art Contest
Q: Are you really sure you have all of those high end items...
A: Yes I am very sure I have all of the items for this contest, but if your still skittish about it and unsure, please feel free to have a mod look into it for you to put your mind at ease.
Q: May you tell me who your favorite character(s) are so I can do art of them.
A: That's a hard question to answer since I love them all so much. So lets just say, the one with the least amount of art at the time would be my "favorite" at that moment I hope that helps you pick a character to do art of
Q: In a lot of art contest, only main characters in the story can have single art, is this the same with your art contest, or can any character have single art?
A: Any and every character in my contest can have single art, not just main characters.
Q: When doing any of the extra categories (Scene Art) does it have to be a scene from info you gave on the story or can we make up our own scene?
A: Either option is totally fine with me, it can be a scene from my info on the story or a scene you make up, just as long as it follows the rules for that category either will be fine.
Q: Why do you not want Chibi art, and do you think my art looks too chibish?
A: For me, it takes a very special kind of chibi for me to like, that and if I allow chibi art, over half of the art I get would end up being chibi (all other contest I've allowed chibis this has happened). In all truth, I'm a sucker for regular anime art and realism. I've sadly never been much of a fan for chibi art. As for your art looking too chibish or not, if you show me some of your past works, I'll be more then happy to let you know if I feel if your style would be suitable for my contest or not
Q: May I change your characters outfits they have on?
A: More then likely no, I'm not big on having them changing. The only way I will allow it is if you get permission from me before you start the art and you have to give me an idea on what your planing to do with the outfits before I'll give permission.
Q: I want to do some super smutty art of (insert name of character(s) ) may I do this.
A: A little smut is ok, but crazy over the top smut isn't really something I want to see. There really is only one relationship in the story that would have any kind of smut in it, and it's more of a sweet and romantic relationship then over the top smutty. Though the relationship between Jada and Paris would be a little bit more on the smutty side then Devin and Alyeah. But getting back to the point Oo;;; a little smut is ok, crazy amount not so much.
Q: Is there a limit to how many pieces of art we are allowed to submit or is it as many as we want.
A: There is no limit to the amount you may enter. Feel free to enter as many as you would like, but please do remember each piece of art you enter is eligible for one prize. So the more you submit the more prizes you might win. But do keep in mind that Quality over Quantity is always the way to go on any contest.
Q: Why do I have to give you an un-water marked art? I don't like giving out un-water marked art.
A: One main reason is, the art that has a huge watermark on it is un-usable to the person hosting the contest, and that's the main reason they have that rule on this forum. There should be a sticky in the forum giving you full details on this. Just remember if you would like to have a watermarked piece up on the contest page, you have to send me an un-watermarked piece through PM.
Q: Will my WIP be included to win prizes?
A: I'm sorry to say, no they wont be. Only finished pieces are eligible for prizes in the main contest as well as the monthly entry contest.
Q: Why does all art have to be scanned and colored?
A: With the scanning part, art that is scanned in verses being taken with a camera just gives it a much higher quality over all. It also tends to give the art a much darker/shadowed look to it if taken with a camera, which isn't very appealing to me sadly. And as with the colored art, I just love art to be colored. I've never really been that big on black and white art, so I really want it colored for this contest XD the prizes are pretty big, so I feel it's worth it being colored.
Q: Does the art have to be shaded?
A: No, the art doesn't have to be shaded, but it would help your chances of winning something if it was shaded. But if you really aren't a shading kind of person, flat color is totally fine to enter.
Q: I want to know if I'm going to win the grand prize or a prize in this contest.
A: I'm sorry but this question I can not and will not answer. In every contest I've had, people have asked me this more times then I'd like to admit, and it's not that much fun to be put on the spot like that. The only thing I can say on this matter is, if you would like a chance to win a prize, you should try and enter. If you don't enter then your chance of winning something is pretty much zero, but if you enter, you will at least be in the running for a prize.
Q: May I bought (insert name of item) from you.
A: I'm sorry, but none of the items I have as prizes in my contest are for sell. The only way to get them is to enter my contest and try to win them. And if it's an item I'm wearing your wanting, I'm sadly not selling those either
sweatdrop . Most of the items I have as prizes or are wearing are fairly easy to find in the exchange or market though. I believe those would be the best places to look into trying to buy the item your after
