I'm a freshman in college and there's a lot of cute girls. I just wanted some advice, not pickup lines, on how to start a conversation with a total stranger without seeming 'thirsty.'

pickup lines are funny but not how I would approach someone. just simple strike up a conversation about anything. what major they're in, what they're studying, etc. seriously a simple hi should be enough. you just have to get out there and try. clubs, school events, and classrooms are good places to meet people.

I suggest just going up to them and saying hey.

Like, I now eat lunch with a 9/10 girl who I asked to show me where the english hall was everyday.
