I chose my side because of the legend, Kitsune always win against the Tanuki, the side I'm on always wins, figured it worked out best, besides, who wants to be a badger man?

The legend, translated from Japanese to English calls the Tanuki "Raccoon Dogs" but culturally what the Japanese call Tanuki are actually Badgers, not Raccoons

It was a hard decision for me. I'm a fan of the anime, Eureka Seven, and two of my favourite characters are described as the "tanuki man" and the "foxy lady" and I didn't want to be disloyal to either of them. TTwTT So I RNGed and got Kitsune.

Honestly, I've always been very interested in lore and mythos. Particularly Japanese.
Yuki onna and kitsune have always been my favorite entities, so my choice was easy.
I'm especially fond of trickster type spirits, and foxes are my favorite animals.

1. I had more fox items to fit the theme. I'm a gold user so thats key.

2. I had WAY too many fairytales in my head about Kitsune, so I was so happy to finally become one!

3. The plethora of Kitsune Gifs I owned was nuts. NOW I finally had something to use them on- and it was GLORIOUS!

I chose kitsune because it was more colorful dressed the that tanuki. I and no clue what either were.
