Mortimer had a fairly peaceful evening. He ate his food, cleaned and pressed his clothes, and overall just relaxed after his long journey. There was still a great deal to go, but having a break in between made it seem less daunting. Just having a bed for the night made a world of difference for his old bones.

When the following day came, the gentleman was up and waiting to greet it. He slipped into his fine suit with practiced ease, adjusted his tie and hat, then emitted a sigh of comfort and relief. Today would be a good day, he could feel it. Making sure that he had everything with him, the skeletal man strode out into the main area after a little while with a wallet in hand. He glanced about, but did not see the woman from the night before. "Pardon me miss, are you a member of the staff? I was hoping to check out now."

Syra's eyes widened slightly when she saw the .....man?.....come up to the 'desk' and almost didnt manage to reply. How.....what....? "I...erm, yea, just need your key...did...did you enjoy your stay.....?" She actually didnt get to touch the books, but she could keep the key on her until Sel got back. But more importantly...the dude was a talking, walking skeleton! And he was leaving?! Why?! Why would he go when there was obviously so many questions! Some that might even be evident as her emerald eyes kept flicking around the details of his face, looking for some sign of this being an illusion or costume.....

As he entered back into the Inn he noticed the Skeleton and girl conversing so he simple made his way back to a table and sat down reading a book he carried with him. Still he wasn't as shocked to see a Skeleton, he's seen lots on his travels it wasn't unusual of a site. Back to his book he read a few pages his tummy rumbled a bit but he was patient

Mortimer fished around in his pocket to produce his key, which he offered out to the woman. "Yes I did, it was quite pleasant. Most public lodgings have a certain uncomfortable feel about them, a certain stiffness I suppose, but this inn was far better than that. It's a hard thing to do, especially when you have all manner of people coming and going." He commented. "Ah, and do you handle the payments as well, miss?"

"Glad you liked your stay!" She chimed, just before he inquired about where to leave payment. "Sure, I can handle that! " She was all smiles, mostly because she actually wasn't supposed to handle the payments, but Sel had said she wanted to relax...and y now the leopardess was likely naked in a bath, so now wouldn't be the time to disturb her!

He has returned to his room, after sometime he remembered he had food stashed in his backpack. He reached in got some bread and honey made a little sandwich started to eat it slowly as he pulled out a book and began to read it on the chair "hmm" he didn't wanna ask the girl who had just come in for food she looked preoccupied so this sandwich was good enough for him. He enjoyed reading in his room it was a time where he didn't have to worry about too much stuff, Sven was outside enjoying himself and he was inside relaxing burning daylight

"Terrific, thank you." Mortimer replied in a cheery manner. The sharply-dressed skeleton sifted through his wallet as he pulled out an appropriate amount of money - it was probably easier to have it on hand rather than trying to apply for a card when one was technically undead - then handed it over. "Much obliged, mad'am. My thanks and compliments to you and the manager." He said with a small, polite bow. Once he straightened up, he adjusted his tie and hat. "I wish you all good health and good fortune!"

And with that, another patron was out the door and back on the road to partake in whatever skulduggery would come his way.

Despite the journey beginning much before even passing through the surrounding village, before reaching the end of the trail, this particular adventurer had long ago decided that visiting far away destination, even indoors, was an adventure in and of itself. The plan was to head straight into the forestry ahead, and up into the mountains even. Though for what he had no clue. It was simply in his nature to explore foreign terrain in hopes of finding treasure, in any and every sense of the word. Though his journey thus far had been taxing, certainly enough to desire at least one good nights rest before reaching the mountains. Even if it was a shitty futon.

The rice paper door slid ajar, barely stalling the man in transitioning from the end of the trail and into an obvious in or tavern of some sort. Though upon entry, he would be revealed to the patrons and employees alike as an obvious foreigner. A wealthy one too from the looks of it. Perhaps the whispers among the winds had carried his presence here hours before his arrival. Rumors of a strange pale man, with two small ivory horns protruding right from his skull! He was dressed in a strange, yet fashionable manner. Various shades and hues of browns, splashed with accents of white and blacks. His stylish brown toed white boots, with black fur trim stood out like a sore thumb below his split tail chocolate cloak. It hosted a high collar, but no hood. No sleeves either. It was more like a poncho in design, though labelled a cloak none the less. Brown fingerless leather gloves hugging his hands comfortably.

Pausing only to slide the door shut behind him, he took to a casual stride, his emerald eyes simply peering around as he turned his head, craning his neck. Though he vaguely glimpsed at faces, he was actually looking at the physically obvious entrances/exits surrounding him. It was always important to know how to get out of a sticky situation, especially if you were someone like this guy. Approaching a vacant table, he easily took to sitting Indian style on one of those thin shitty mats on the floor. He made himself as comfortable as he naturally could. Ah, the joys of being a Warlock, a caster of any sort really. Wait, so why did he partake in the uncomfortable situations he faced? Couldn't he make anything just the way he liked it? Yes....Yes he could. But one of the many strange things about this man, was that he often enjoyed partaking in parts of life as mundane as he could. After all, he was still half human.

So far as can be seen, the man is sort of, small, and feminine looking with the chin length curly hair, the big green eyes. His ectomorphic frame only 5'6", approximately 140lbs soaking wet. Black nails, longer than a normals mans, though the shine to them made them look polished, when actually, he just had black claws. Hosting a warm and inviting closed mouth smirk, the girly man sat silently. If he was mistaken as a flat chested broad right now, wait until you hear him speak!

The peace and quiet outside of the inn was interrupted by a sudden bright, bluish light. The oddity, roughly a meter in diameter, sparked and pulsed wildly for about a minute, until the orb simply burst and dispersed, depositing a body on the ground in a rough manner. The person coughed and shook, seeming to be quite injured, as evident by the tears in their clothes and the various wounds accompanying them. The worst seemed to be a gash on their left side, where their red clothes were a considerably darker shade of red.

The person managed to rise to their hands and knees, while clutching the deep cut at their side. As they lifted their head to look around, their features showed the individual to be a young woman, with ginger hair and reddish eyes. With what strength she could muster, she crawled toward the closest building she could see, wincing and letting out soft cries as her damaged body was pulled and strained. When she managed to reach the door, she didn't even bother trying to reach up to open it. She slapped a hand against the solid frame as loudly as she could to try and grab some attention. "Is anybody home? Please, I need help." She whined.

The blue-haired young woman had snuck away Mortimere's payment for his stay somewhere Sel would find it when the first....person...walked in. Not being as apt to play hostess as Selenia was, Syra couldn't quite keep herself from staring, her emerald eyes following the man to his seat. She was pretty sure it was a guy...male....any ways. Who knew in this world, right? When the person found their seat - choosing one of the more traditional spots over chairs and table for some reason - she realized that he may want her to come to him for service. Of course, she hesitated. She hated being in the spotlight, and even though she knew Sel really needed at least a little time off, the artist was beginning to resent her a little. Why hasn't she found new staff yet? You know...people persons!? She thought angrily. Still, for all her wishing, the man or whatever he was - well horns could be prosthetic, coral is often used for that....but... - was still sitting where he'd decided. Waiting.

At last she took a breath and then left the safety of the bar counter/desk and started to cross the room to find out what the customer might want -- when she heard someone banging on the inn outside the door, crying for help! Again, she wasn't Selenia. She was only human, an artist trying to escape being human, but she was mortal and magic-less none the less. And she had a feeling things were quickly growing too big for her to handle - being an introvert aside.

Flashing an apologetic look towards the initial customer, she went to the door, yanking it open and for a few seconds blinked in a confused manner until she realized all the red at her feet. Red clothing, seemingly reddish hair, and...red blood. "Oh.....s**t." Her professionalism was tossed aside - what little there had ever been - and she immediately kneeled to the girl. "Lady, look, I....um...here, can I drag you inside to a bed?" Syra asked, her face red with her anxiety. Really she meant could she move the girl without injuring her further, but the sensitive raw emotions mixed with the want to do the right thing didn't leave much room for tact in expressing that concern.

The woman gave a silent thanks to whatever deity was watching over her when the door opened. The pain made her cringe almost constantly, making it difficult to look up to see who her saviour was. The distraction caused by the throbbing made it hard for her to pay attention as well, so the person's words sounded distant and muffled. "Please. I need a healer." She said, with her voice clearly strained. It was getting harder to support her own weight with each passing second. Even thinking was becoming a chore. Her head swam with dizziness and aching.

Lifting an eyebrow, annoyed she hadn't gotten an answer to her question at all, Syra's response was less than kind. "Well I could've told you that..." Twit. "Hang on...don't scream too much...." She rolled her eyes to herself, and helped pull the girl up, taking on most of her weight so she wouldn't have to really do much other than just endure the pain for a minute. "I'll get you to a bed then go get the owner..." Though we dont have any healers, so you're probably s**t out of luck. Syra kept that part to herself though as she moved the girl from the doorway to an empty room, laying her down on the mattress. "Just don't die before she gets here, all right?"

The woman bit back any pain she might make audible as she was moved from the front door to some other room. At this point she was merely fighting to maintain consciousness amidst the throbbing in her side and in her head. She was leaking life fluid all over the place, making a right mess of things, and growing paler for it. With her hat having fallen off, it was easy to see that her eyelids were fluttering. Her breaths were becoming more shallow as well. What could have possibly landed her in such a condition? And how did she end up here with such severe injuries? For now, there was no telling. The edges of her vision grew darker with each tick of the clock.

Abaddon

Abaddon traveled down the road, weary from the days of travels. He had stopped a few passer bys on the road and asked if they knew of a inn near by, they pointed him in this direction or so he hoped he wasn’t from this area. He took a long drag off the cigarette that was hanging lazily between his lips and then removed it with his right hand, grabbing for his half empty flask and tanking a large drink of it then returning it back to its orginale position. He noticed the odd weather as he ventured further down the road, and the sound of things in the shadows. He was already on edge due to the current nature of his life but he was was told by the villagers that he had came across it was indeed a strange place and to be careful. He shrugged it off and countined on. As the building came into view he could hear the sound of people from inside and a grin cracked across his weary face. He walked up the steps and pushed open the door, seeing a few indiavuals inside he quickly brushed them off and made way for the bar counter. He took a seat at the bar stool and let out a large sigh, pulling a near by ashtray towards him, taking the last hit of his cigarette and putting out in the ashtray. He then brought his elbows up on the counter and rested his face into the palms of his hands letting out a deep sigh, ready for a fresh drink, meal, and the first bed he had slept in for months..

Before Syra could run off to find her, Selenia would tap her on the shoulder. "Syra...please watch the front desk. And take a robe to hide all the blood...I will relieve you as soon as I can." The leopardess told the sapphire haired woman.

Not waiting for a reply, the hostess of the inn stepped inside the room and was quick in shutting Syra out before kneeling beside the injured woman. Frowning, she sighed and rested her hand over the woman's chest, above her heart. "I pray you're the civil sort and much worth this sacrifice..." Sorrow and pain filled Selenia's eyes shortly before they and the leopard rosettes dotting her skin all glowed bright blue, emitting a light of their own.

Shortly after, Selenia slumped forward a bit whilst the light came together to form the ghostly form of a snow leopard, that leaped straight through the wall leading outside. Meanwhile, Selenia took her free hand to hold the girl's. 'Please...hold on now...he won't be long..." She whispered, her form shaking slightly, and even appearing a little more see-through than a normal person ought to.
