Actually, my friend and I were talking about this a week ago. As much as we hate the gold gens, a lot of them would make really cool equippable items.

Minimum effort/cost to gaia, possibility of being a low gc item ((Because you KNOW they won't just put them into the shops.)), then the item can be used in the marketplace to suck out gold from a bloated economy. I see now way that Gaia or her people can lose from this.
If it is bundled it could be called the "Huge mistake" bundle... or something cute like that to help appease those of us who are angry about the nonsense they have been trying to pull off lately.

They've released a new item for Shark week which was a housing item turned into a equip item, which means that they certainly can do this!
