Kyoko was surprised at how well Kivlo was taking this, he loved her... he loved Ling too. he quickly wrapped her arms around him and rest her head against his chest a bit, trying to dry her tears. She never wanted Ling to control the country, she doubted the boy would want it either. What Kyoko desired most for her son was for him to be happy, being a leader tends to take that away from a person, from what she could remember Lei was rarely if ever truly happy. Kyoko spoke softly " Thank you for being so understanding Kivlo. For what it's worth I'm sure Ling would be honored if you considered him as his son. You are the closest thing to a father that he's ever known after all."

The young woman wasn't blind, she saw how the two acted when they were together, if one didn't know any different they would swear that Kivlo was Ling's father. Of course the boy was a bit different too, his bravery and bluntness reminded her of herself as well as his eyes. However, Ling's cleverness and facial expressions often reminded her of Lei-Sho. Hearing Kivlo call him a monster Kyoko couldn't blame him for seeing him that way, for a long time she saw Lei-Sho in the same light. But she could never completely hate him because if not for Lei she wouldn't have Ling.

Being with him those years ago as a confidant shed some light on the situation, Lei-Sho wasn't completely evil. He had a troubled past which curved his thinking in a selfish direction trying to live up to his father who was anything but perfect himself. The emperor did terrible things to try to fill a void left from that which could never be filled. Had he been raised in a normal, loving family, or simply as a peasant then he wouldn't have become a monster at all. In other words.... Lei-Sho was just a man and like any other man he had his flaws.

Still, he couldn't remain as leader, Kisro would crumble if things kept going the way they had been. As Kivlo invited her to breakfast Kyoko nodded and smiled. " That sounds good Kivlo. Oh, you should know the girl from last night, Yui, left this morning towards the mountains. It's best if she not stay since she's running away from the palace. I still have some contacts inside the palace who act as informants for us." Kyoko would at times feed Kivlo information that she got from these informants so it was best that he know who they were. When the rebellion did win she didn't want to see the spies get punished for working for Lei-Sho when in truth they had been working for Kivlo all along. She went outside with him feeling a bit better to finally get that burden off her chest and to know that Kivlo loved Ling no matter what.

Okiru Uzakii

With the sunset now gone Okiru looked around to see if anything else was of interest. There was as he sighted what looked like a bird at first until he could make out its shape. "A... Glider?" He watched as it drifted through the air until it took a long route around and started to land on the Black Road. It wasn't the softest of landings from what he could tell but the rider was unharmed. The oddest part of this event was when the rider, who was just a kid, left the glider and came over to him asking where Munvria is.

"Hey there. Nice landing in the glider, though if you're planning to carry that to Munivra, it's quite a ways that way." he said after crouching to one knee, smiling and pointing to the road leading to Munivra. "My name's Okiru, what's yours?"

Ling smiled proudly when the man admired his glider, the boy was quite proud of it after all and had been going through different glider designs for the last month. " Thanks! I made it myself... though I've been going through a few different designs." The small boy then went into his satchel which was by his side and took out a sketchbook filled with information about birds, wind direction, and different designs for gliders... some which even even had the rider sitting and not standing. All of them were pretty rough, and some used a series of pulleys to operate.

The boy was happy and excited to talk about his interests... " I'm hoping to make the perfect one that can go really long distance. Going on a glider is faster then going on foot or by horse... I figure one day if I can make I really good one I can fly all the way from Munvira to Kicro in only a few hours if the wind is good." The boy was interested in many things and was clearly quite smart, smarter then even some adults. Though he had only a little bit of education to speak of, he knew how to read and write, basic arithmetic, and a few things about history. But most of what Ling knew came from observing nature, seeing how birds fly, figuring out the direction the river flows in and why, and looking at the stars.

He smiled when the man said how far away Munvira was...
" I went all that way! That's great!... Oh, wait. I gotta get back now and mom's gonna be mad at me." Ling was a very curious boy by nature as well as very free-spirited and independent. Unfortunately this often caused his mother to worry about him a lot and he would get scolded for wandering off without permission. Ling blinked when the man introduced himself and politely bowed towards him. " My name's Ling. Are you from the capital? Where are you headed too?' The boy was curious about the stranger who seemed to be waiting for someone.

Kivlo's nodded his head in agreement and patted her back, he turned to the door and walked out. His room was smelling the finest as ever. Fruits, breakfast foods, teas, all the such that was gathered by the Munvria farmers, as well as Kivlo's personal garden. In his own sense, Kivlo kept the city from crumbling into debt or hunger. He was like the Mayor, or he worked along side the man.

Kivlo looked at Kyoko, "I have connections of my own as well. A few men in the army are our ears. A few guards at the palace, our eyes. And last, those Reapers, they will prove useful in coming battles." He laughed as he tried to imitate the Emperor, though he stopped speaking and he entered his room, he had hoped that Kyoko had followed, as she did.

Okiru Uzakii

Okiru eased himself before sitting down and crossing his legs. "You're definitely a smart boy. A glider seems like it would be a better choice than walking or riding to Kicro as well. Smoother as well, no horse bumping about." he laughed after that. He looked at Ling's book before speaking; "You're a better artist than me. Though I'm not designing flying things. I'm originally from south of the capital, in a small village. I'm actually traveling with a friend." He didn't want this kid to hear "Emperor" and think he was some mindless soldier who would kill him.

He pulled out another peach and held it out to him. "Peach? These ones are quite sweet. If I hear about a kid who's flying, I'll see if I can find you in Minvira."

Emperor Lei-sho
Location: The Black Road. Mood: Pleased, planning. Company: Okiru

Lei-sho nodded his head to respond to Okiru's question. Lei-sho turned to him, he did enjoy the maiden's company, though it was not his, sadly. He did ponder if he should treat woman the way the rebels did, allowing them to fight in his army, sickening. Lei-sho spat at the thought, he took another bite of the peach, he remembered his hair. It hung down from his head like curtains over a window, Lei-sho thought of cutting it, but it took him too many years to grow it. He wandered away from the room.

The Emperor followed behind his friend, though stopped at the front of the Inn. "It is afternoon, or morning?" Lei-sho idly placed a few coins down on the counter and gave the man a wink walking away with his hair swaying left and right.

He exited the Inn and appeared behind Okiru, "Giving lessons to Children, Okiru you must be a saint." Lei-sho laughed, he was in a good mood today, he had just ended war between two countries, and over a little trade dispute. With his hair down, he was a different person. Lei-sho's make-ups were washed away, there was dust around the bottoms of his pants, and his Kimono wasn't the greatest of silk or color.

Ling looked over at Okiru " Really? There aren't a lot of roads that go to the surrounding villages it's kinda a shame huh? I mean different areas seem to grow different things and more roads would make things easier on the merchants." Ling paused a bit when the man offered him a peach, it was a kind gesture though a suspicious one. Who had food to just give away with all the taxes imposed by the emperor? Sure, Kivlo did but much of that was though theft and other illegal activities. He nodded a bit before accepting the piece of fruit, it would be rude not to accept.... " Thank you Mr. Okiru"

As another man came up the boy thought to himself that maybe they were traders of some sort, they didn't look like soldiers or nobility, nor did they appear to be farmers. The boy blinked towards the other man whose name he didn't know he bowed slightly. " Hello... you must be his friend. My name's Ling." Upon bowing Ling accidentally dropped his sketchbook, as he knelt down to pick it up the cloth wrapped around his ankle came off revealing a small but noticeable birthmark. It was a mark that his mother always told him to keep covered though the boy didn't know why.

He had no clue that it was the same birthmark that Lei-Sho, his biological father also had, and that it was an abnormality found only in the royal family. In any case it was now uncovered but Ling didn't really notice or pay much attention to it. He smiled at the two men, they seemed nice enough after all.
" I gotta get going. Before my mom and my uncles worry about me too much. Thank you for the peach." Ling referred to all the male rebels as 'uncle' and besides Kyoko he called all the female rebels 'aunt', it just seemed easier that way. The boy then picked up his glider and started on the long walk to Munvria while enjoying the sweet peach that Okiru gave him.

Kyoko nodded and followed Kivlo into the room, the woman was a warrior in every aspect but at the same time she was a lady, taught good graces and manners. After all her clan was a high ranking one and considered quite well off before it fell, plus she served in the imperial court. Her demeanor, posture, expression, and even the walk she walked presented this quiite clearly. She ate a little but not much as she had a lot on her mind. It was fortunate that they now had the reapers on their side but what next?

Drinking some tea as she sat down she looked over at Kivlo, he was a fine man and would make a good husband and father one day. She spoke rather calmly...
" So when's our next move?" Kyoko clearly wanted to get Lei-Sho out of power as soon as possible, she knew Kivlo was probably planning something. She just didn't know what.

Kivlo's smiled, he had sat down and drank some tea. "Well my dear. Rest is our next move. For now that is. I have scoured out our numbers. Even with the explosives and man power, we are a mole on the Empire's face." Kivlo grinned at his own comment and sipped his tea cautiously. He set down the cup, and grabbed a bowl of some hot soup, he grabbed some chop sticks and began to eat slowly. "But of course we can keep doing the little things to bring him down. Or go on a hunch I have had since I left." Kivlo snapped his fingers and the Inn Maiden ran in with a map and a few reports of Kicro's trading routes. Kivlo sighed, swallowing the food and setting down the bowl. "Out enemy, is cunning, as well as kind; when he needs to be. I have gotten reports that he is, giving back to the public for once in two years..."

Kivlo spoke over reading the papers, he grabbed one and gently handed it over to Kyoko. "Though with this information, I believe that he is planning something. As am I." Kivlo set down a map of the city, and a few of the buildings had a little painting of a dragon on them, showing that the Dragons occupied the building.

"I am not liking this one bit. We lost an agent... A very important one for a matter of fact. Yui was one, but one was lost more recently, Kosno. The Advisor of military actions. I believe he was killed and replaced by a Okiru Uzakii." Kivlo shrugged crossing his arms and placing them at his chest. He hated this new sudden action, Kosno hadn't done anything to upset the Emperor, or anything he heard of.

Jarnus, the Ōmagatoki of Aichi

Jarnus yawned and walked about the woods having finished gathering the gold under the rock let for him and his landsmen. Jarnus was just finishing some work on the small fortress they had been building when he heard some commotion. He stepped out and made his move towards the noise finding 2 bandits searching to close to the newly found hideout. Jarnus smirked and thought to himself of just letting them fall prey to Akaname's traps but instead decided to have some fun he lept into the trees and made his way to the back of the men. He smirked and bellowed "Beware the Omagatoki!" He landed right behind them causing one to jump and fall from pure fright the other simply ran for his life screaming as he did "Its true there is a giant in the woods!" Jarnus laughed and watched as the other began to run to he decided to follow them noticing they seem to be running towards Kicro, but along the way he noticed a small boy and 2 men.Jarnus wondered if he had seen the boy before, he wasent sure where he had seen the boy before but he knew he had. He waited and watched for a moment noticing the glider the boy had it made him chuckle a bit Jarnus thinking -if only I wasn't so big maybe I could touch the heavens- but the heavens were not his goal. He watched the people for a bit still swearing to himself he knew the boy. He seemed so familiar until finally, after a moments pondering he remembered seeing the boy near Kivlo last they spoke. He wondered why he was so far away and where this boys parents were. It didn't seem to be either of the men, their body language spoke for itself this was their first encounter or os it seemed to the giant.
Jarnus made the choice to walk the boy back to Munirva if the child wished, Jarnus saw a way to show the dragon he ment business to join his cause and he would start by returning the child. He came down from the trees and walked over to the road calling out "Hail little one I do believe i saw you in Munirva this past morning if you wish I can escort you home. I may be able to help you get back into the air even I doubt you could weigh much!" Jarnus laughed and smiled at the boy bringing himself to his eye level "The names Jarnus little one" he turned his attention to the other men and simply nodded "I am Jarnus I am know as the Omagatoki of Aichi." he looked over both men noting thier armor and weapons. If need be he could lead them back to the traps and await his landsmen but for now it seemed as if no fight was to ensue.

Okiru Uzakii

"Not everyone in this world wants to kill, although I wasn't giving him lessons, he was providing them to me. Those were really detailed drawings, and an impressive glider. He will be a master of inventions if he continues." He stood up after he finished and faced Lei-sho. "Are you ready to leave then?" He walked over to the horses before he could reply and pulled out his journal, quickly sketching the mark he saw on the boy's leg. It was interesting to him, somehow it was familiar yet he hasn't seen it before. He continued and filled out a page on the boy, who was definitely a promising inventor.

Finishing his quick new entry and marking the side of the page for an easy find, he put it back into his bag and checked his peach count. Sadly it was low, with only around 3 more left. He packed enough before he left Kicro by himself for a noble meeting but he planned to restock when he had the chance. Clearly things around him had a different idea. "We need to find a tea shop soon. I really need a good cup of tea."

Ling was walking down the road eating a peach, the sweet juices flowing from either side of his mouth before the boy quickly covered his face somewhat embarrassed by his sloppy eating manners. Suddenly a giant man who seemed to come from the trees came before him and started calling him ' Little One'. This somewhat annoyed the boy, of course he was little... he was only five years old after all. Who wasn't little at that age? Among kids his own age Ling was actually about average in height. As the man offered to help get him in the air Ling quirked up an eyebrow for a moment. " You're not too bright are you mister? Looking at the sky it looks like it might rain soon, rain would soak the wings on the glider making them too heavy for flight and would inevitably cause me to crash. Even if the rain didn't completely soak up my wings there's still wind direction to consider."

Ling picked up a few blades of grass and tossed them into the air as they were quickly picked up by the wind. " Wind direction is headed south... southeast. Away from Munivra. It's one of the reasons I thought I might be able to reach Kicro today but I landed early because I was worried about rain." Ling always remembered what the monks taught him, that one needed to learn to work with the forces of nature and not against them. While flight was one of interests he many things he was curious about, water, heat, farming, and medicine were just a few things he had interests in. Despite the fact that the boy was being raised around the rebellion and his mother was a very skilled fighter Ling himself had little interest in becoming a warrior when he grew up.

He saw martial arts as good exercise, a good form of mediation, and would defend himself if need be. But his true passions were in learning about how the world worked and how to understand nature it's self. If Ling had his way he would fly as free as bird, swim as fast as a fish, eat like a lion, and sleep like a bear. The boy did have quite a few things in common with the monks, but in many ways he didn't. Ling wanted to learn about the world, he wanted to do and experience everything. Despite his intelligence Ling was still a small child and saw the world through the eyes of a small child, a place full of amazement and wonder.

His mother would often say his intelligence was both a gift and a curse, because many times Ling didn't know when to keep his mouth shut. He took after his mother and even Kivlo in the sense that he was fearless. Even in front of this massive Goliath of a man the boy rolled his eyes at the introduction: ' And I'm Ling, the soon to be scolded. Look I know you think you're trying to be nice but really the last time I brought a lost puppy home with me my mom got really mad. " He was clearly comparing the man to a stray dog. He thought of him as a complete moron. Then again, Ling wasn't too bright in people skills... if he was then he would realize that insulting someone far more then 20 times your size isn't such a good idea.

But he couldn't help but think of the man as a dimwit. He glanced back at the two men at the inn....
" If you're looking for someone to talk to then maybe you should try one of them... I gotta get home."

((OOC: I'm sorry about Ling's attitude. crying He's just kinda a smartass at times, especially around people he doesn't like and for some reason he doesn't like Jarnus. Kyoko listened to Kivlo, he was right in saying that they were only a minor annoyance to the emperor. She also heard of Lei-Sho giving back to the people for once, but then again there were riots beforehand so in many ways one could say his hand was forced. She drank a bit of tea remaining quite calm as she spoke: " He is a politician Kivlo and he knows how to play the part quite well when he has to. Even Lei-Sho knows that a leader without people who follow him is no leader at all. I have no doubt that he may be plotting something, but I also know that he knows the importance of public image. You should know it as well, if you attack the emperor right after he's done a work of charity you may turn public opinion and the populace against us. People are fickle that way."

She down her cup and looked over at the man calmly. " The emperor has vast amounts of resources at his disposal, some even outside of this nation. However, I have heard rumor of a certain group of traders who could get virtually anything and the leader is apparently back. I've met him once before, he is a very eccentric, a foreigner, who doesn't like to dwell too much in political affairs. Though if you're interested I can set up a meeting, if you think you can convince him to our aid that is. " Kyoko looked at the papers Kivlo handed her and frowned, she always hated it when they lost anyone to the cause, but she was particularly worried when it came to undercover agents. Mostly because one never did know how much information they may have given out during their torture prior to execution.

One agent dead was sad, but all the red dragons would be devastating to the cause. The military advisor was an important informant, but now he was gone. Kyoko paused a bit, looking outside the window she could tell that rain would be coming any minute now.... Where was that son of hers? She looked at Kivlo.
" Excuse me a moment..."She exited the room briefly and asked one of the girls who worked at the tavern where Ling was. The tavern maid responded that he went outside to play and hadn't returned yet... But given the weather Kyoko was a bit worried about Ling. The boy was at times too adventurous for his own good.

Jarnus, the Ōmagatoki of Aichi
The giant smiled and began to laugh "You are quite the smart one. I ment no insult Ling i simply want to make sure you got home safely" he turned his gaze to the men behind them wondering what was being written in the book and shook his head. "It would seem they have another agenda" he looked over the boy and smiled again "Your correct i am not the smartest man in the world. Where i come from a man is known by his power and how much fear he can manifest in others" Jarnus sighed at these words and shook his head "But fear is never something you should strive for..All that road ends in is sadness" He thought for a moment and was takin aback by the lost puppy comments. He rolled his shoulder and shrugged "I have no intent of following you home Ling i have my own "Home" as it were. But seeing as i work for someone you know well now i figured why not make sure something he cares for gets home safe" The giant leaned down and whispered to ling quietly "I work for Kivlo and from what i saw you seem important to him" He moved back and looked ling over noting the mark on his leg "Now thats an interesting mark. I have a few myself but i was not given the choice on those" He smirked rubbing his arm slightly a large scar running down his arm and disappearing behind his gauntlet on his right arm. "As for the wind I have yet to find a force that can withstand me. Though if there was one it would indeed be mother nature. We must respect the forces around us and hope that we dont anger them to greatly." He though back to his own mothers words before she was murdered and sighed again his smile returning after a moment "But either way we should get you home im sure your parents are indeed worried with the weather coming that you so brilliantly pointed out"

Ling paused a minute towards the giant man, at least he was willing to admit his own faults, which made him better then most people who would be so welled up in their pride to ever listen to a kid. He sighed a bit: " The monks use to say that power without wisdom often leads to destruction." Ling did indeed spend much of his time at the monastery, in fact whenever things seemed like they might get really bad for the Red Dragons his mother would send him back there so that he would be safe with the monks. Thus the child had a great amount of respect for the holy men and knew quite a bit about Buddhism.

But in many ways the monks taught him things Kivlo and Kyoko didn't or couldn't, at least they attempted to. He then glanced over slightly at the two men he had been talking to, though he was slowly walking away from him he had to admit Jarnus was right, those two had an agenda all of their own but Ling couldn't tell what it was. The one man's name was Okiru, though he never caught his last name and he didn't know who the man with him was. Ling wondered if he should bring up the short encounter to Kivlo. Ling shrugged as the man mentioned getting him home safe and all, the boy always felt he could take care of himself... though it was far from the truth.

He was still a child after all and one hit from a full grown adult could easily harm the boy even if that adult wasn't the strongest, and if they were... well it might even kill him. Ling just never considered such things. The man then commented on his birthmark, Ling looked down, realizing that the fabric which had been covering it was gone. No matter he could pick up some more once he got home.
" Well... it's really just me and my mom. I don't have a father." Though deep down inside Ling really hoped that Kivlo would one day become his father, that would be great.

Ling almost swore that he felt a rain drop on his nose as he blinked a bit and attempted to use the glider as an umbrella.
" We are all at mother nature's mercy, but if you fight against a river it will eventually drown you. If learn how the water flows it will take you where you want to go." It was Ling's way of saying that rain wasn't a bad thing, after all rain helped crops grow and gave people fresh water. It just kinda sucked when he couldn't spend all day outside. The boy really did miss the monks at the moment, they knew all sorts of things about nature that most people didn't.

                                                      He smiled a bit...
" Don't let that mark on my ankle scare you. It's just a harmless birthmark. I usually keep it covered but I must've lost the bandage on it during my landing. So... do you really know Uncle Kivlo? I don't remember seeing you in Munvria before though maybe I wasn't paying attention." Ling was curious as to how well this man knew Kivlo. After all anyone could claim to know the rebel leader but not everyone could prove it.
